Hello. I've downloaded the Bitcoin client for Mac OS X last weekend, and i've the tried the "Faucet Test" several times, but it didn't work. I've never received something and i got no hint what's going wrong. The client shows 7 connections, 127654 blocks and 0 transactions. The Bitcoin Version is 0.3.21-beta, the machine is running Mac OS X 10.6.7 and the Bitcoin Adress is 1G4JD8B2y3LjZ8iop6XHCsB6qQUsSfnWp9 . What can i do? Any hints, any ideas?  |

if the faucet is out you'll have to buy some through mt gox, another exchange, or the IRC channel

That's not the problem. The "Faucet Test"-website shows "Sent!".
But sadly the client gets no "transaction failed"-message, or something else.
So i mean: it seems the client makes nothing. Is it broken?
How can i test it?
How can i see what's going wrong?

Try searching http://blockexplorer.com/ for your address. If the faucet transaction shows up, then that would indicate it is indeed your client that has the problem. But if the block chain isn't even recognizing the transaction, it's probably the faucet's problem. |

Well that shows there haven't been any transactions on that address, so if that's the one you entered on the faucet, then it was probably out and never sent them to you.

The Bitcoin Faucet can only give out Bitcoins if there are Bitcoins in it to be given out. Right now it is empty, and thus cannot give out Bitcoins. That's why you don't have any Bitcoins. |

Right now it is empty, and thus cannot give out Bitcoins. That's why you don't have any Bitcoins. At all times i tried that the counter of the Faucet had Bitcoins. |

The Faucet never sent the coins, so it's not a problem with Bitcoin.

I tried the same. posted the address on the faucet for .02 bitcoins. Been running bitcoin all day nothings showed up on the amount box. Checked http://blockexplorer.com/address/1EY2NXaZfD76MrhezDnoWNMKQ4ku7WjoaL and it looks like it registered, but nothing on my local portal. If this works this is gold, but if I can't get it running as easy as mtorrent how can I trust this p2p system to work. I want to be able to store my bitcoins in a usb and under my bed mattress. Show me how and its golden. |

Your client has to download the whole block chain first. Check that the number in the lower right corner of the window is at least 127730. (The block that includes the transaction that you linked to.) |
