The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Older generation will find it difficult to trust any crypto currency as they find it risky to invest and also generation gap plays an important role as they cannot cope up with the changes as fast as the youth can so they hesitate in learning new things.

Everyone on here can't understand why their friends didn't accept Bitcoin when after a few years of media coverage, hype and mainstream use many on here had to go through to accept it.

I wonder if you same people will accept http://getgems.org/   will be massive in a few years?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing for fools.

I think they are getting carried away by the news and media who are constantly involved in attacking bitcoins and that is the reason they are finding it risky investment to make. And they know that its nature is volatile and doesn't guarantee you the profit and that is the reason they are hesitating in investing into bitcoins. Angry
yeah I agree to your statement . another reason could be the stability of bitcoin price.
bitcoin price stability is currently fluctuating differently and that could be a reason that people are not investing for in the bitcoin market .

Only 1, but he never believe bitcoin is worth anything. After this i realized i should never talk people around me about the bitcoin.
Hahaha, reality of life I guess. People don't believe in something till that something doesn't really need their belief anymore.
That's probably what will happen to bitcoin and has happened even now.

Tried and got some interest but that was about it, no proper interest, not enough to be active with it.

bitcoin almost always turns into a very engaging conversation, and by just answering a few questions you'll clear up several misconceptions. I find that people are very receptive to bitcoin.

To answer your question... Non of my friends got into BTC because of me.

Told my friends that I am now in the black on all my miners from Oct 2013 till the end of this month ON PAPER of all my BTC equip and Scrypt Equip
and the actual electricity used as I went along (Oct 2013 thru June 30th 2015 so far anyway at these btc and ltc prices)

They are like all waving of hands (about 8 folk know about me into mining) obviously with pent up 'angst'

SELL SELL SELL ...MY GOD MAN GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN......YOU CAN'T HAVE MONEY OUT OF THIN AIR

(they get very annoyed when I point out that yep thats kinda what I'm doing with my last of the in the black miners now over electric
....right now thus the 'in the black' party I tried to explain...the main thing that annoys them is I am not cashing out each month to usd and am holding all coin ever mined..... Smiley

reaffirming that I am in a CULT in that it is UN-AMERICAN to have extra $$$ of any manner and now blow it immediately!!!! (heh think I'm a damn commie now open source indeed Smiley

well that sucked!

so much for that bit of good news to the world....hey guys look ...I've broke even on paper on equip and elec since 2013 yea me...
went over like a 'lead balloon' ...ker plunk.......they now see it as proof that I'm too dumb to run out of a burning building ..now that I'm in the black....

so i guess the unspoken agreement should be such...I don't tell them I'm making $$$ with my obvious in their words 'fantasy money' ..which I suppose
if I am correct here down the lane of time would be very very annoying that they did not get on the crypto train and I actually do make $$$ and
crypto works out well in a few more years

and/or

they will still be my friend even though I'm obviously in some kinda cult so they will no longer bring up that I'm nutty as a fruitcake..when the news
comes on about bitcoin etc etc and Greece...

consensus Smiley

ah the elephant in the room

Would be nice to see crypto get some grudging respect and at least people think it was just a bad idea vs thinking of me like I just joined a cult!

well it is looking better then the plumber I tried to get to take some old 1920's black pipe gas lines in my basement out .and estimate from I guess...guy has never
returned my calls...and ..never saw the guy again Smiley

..... saw my miners ..i told him they were bitcoin miners and he goes w/o thinking that it was out loud.... "oh thats to buy drugs on the Internet with right?"

this was 2014

so now it is 2015 and people have learned about bitcoin and crypto enough to know just think I'm in a cult and crazy..but at least I'm not running my
own personal 'dark web' in the basement in everyones mind now PROGRESS!

at this rate the new normal on crypto is sometime in 2025 Smiley

well anyway I don't care what anyone says ..my ego needs a boost to help me continue to hold 'damn it'

I'm in the black from day 1 of mining till the last day of this month (Oct 2013 to Jun 2015) ...INCLUDING all electric used miners micl etc etc etc

SO DAMN IT ..I'M JUST GONNA PAT MYSELF ON MY BACK ANYWAY ..it is not like .....if it is delusion that is in any way different then any other aspects
of my life anyway so screw it .....I am out of the hole (on paper) looking about saying 'OK the hole sucked now what?"

(but anyway a party of one sucks!...but shoulda gone with that as the plan anyway..then announce here just recently I was "in the black"  Smiley

live an learn

anyway.......back to keeping my mouth shut (at least around friends and family members) will continue to 'bend an ear' of strangers'
they always think I'm crazy anyway chatting folk up about stuff in the checkout line...may as well add bitcoin to the conversation

live an learn

Most people who even know about Bitcoin are just filled to the brim with the negativity that the media gives it.

We can recommend it to them, but don't force them to accept it. Let them accept it without coercion, so you can't feel bad again since that's their choice to join. Btw, what the thing that made them lost money?

maybe he know that if he recommended it to his friend they won't accept it because they want more fiat money than bitcoin, even if they know that bitcoin is the easiest way to transact.
