For example I talked about bitcoin everyday, and my Grandpa is planning to buy.

at least she understand what bitcoin is about? or you told her that they are just money?

i think the problem with those that feel unsecure in using bitcoin is that they can't understand it well and how ti work, besides being lazy for securing their wealth

a part of the problem is because of the lack of enough places that accept bitcoin. for example you can convince anybody to use credit cards because they can use them almost everywhere , like in a shop, on an ATM or online in a lot of websites.

but when somebody buys bitcoin it would be just like buying stocks for a lot of them because there is not enough places that they can spend it. and it is more like an investment with high risks. which is why it turns a lot of people away from bitcoin.

that grandpa dont use bitcoin as his investment, imo it just be his asset, so he can give it to his grandchild one day. Do you really think a grandpa will understand about the complexity of bitcoin?

Plenty 80 year old billionaires do, they dont need to understand a complexity, they just need to use it, and find ways to make more money with it , or preserve their live savings.

Do you know how they can be "billionaires"? Do you think a billionaire who expert in economy dont understand about what thing he will risk his money? If they dont understand, they couldnt be billionaires.

I'm not sure, an old man dont want to learn how to secure it or anything. He just want to rest, and enjoy his remain life. Anything about bitcoin or investment will be managed by someone he trust like his family.

then what's the point of buying if he don't want to learn? the simple fact that he want to buy bitcoin, mean that he is willing to learn otherwise he can simply leave everything to someone else

I recommend Bitcoin to my girlfriend when I was posting on bitcointalk.org.  And she laughed a lot after hearing about Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is out of her league.

They more be interested if you bought her some accessories or some food, They will believe in bitcoin if they have an evidence that bitcoin is true or not, Just give her any things that you can prove that bitcoin is true.

Just show how bitcoin works .... how to use it to purchase anything just like local currency. Show her how fast the transaction and how secure + anonymous the bitcoin transaction. It might make her interest a bit rather than not interest at all

Just a question,
Why should I tell her that Bitcoin is anonymous..... She's not a criminal or tax evader. Lol Tongue

Lol I agree with you if that old man is a businessman, he will always looking for profit no matter how old he is. But an ordinary old man just follow the advice of his beloved family like grandchild or son/daughter to decide what kind of investment he need, and let them keep it. He just rest in his house and enjoy his remain life.

Yeah, they thing it's valueless unless they see you buying something with it. Buy something in front of them in a shop where they accept it using their smartphone and they will learn.

I think that it's hard to talk about Bitcoin with someone who is not interested in computers / internet or whatever.. they won't know what Bitcoin is until they see it in TV or in newspaper...

I think you are right, but when a news comes to TV then it's too late to get into it.
