I lost some money on the football world cup because one game went to extra time which I bet on to win before extra time. that was a pain in the ass as i would have won in the excess of 50 bitcoin. but my initial bet was only something like 0.8 it was a parlay which I won all the rest.

other than that i havent lost anything and have broke even or gain a little profit elsewhere

The guy never said to gamble with 1.01 odds. He probably means that you can gamble and stop when you won even small amounts, like what im doing

To be honest I think these 2 are a different kind of gambling because you can get them to be profitable if you are skilled, so it's not just a matter of luck like pure casino (dice, roulette, etc). You can however lose a lot in any of them, either the pure luck ones, or the ones with skilled involved, if you don't have an objective, and stick to it.

That's what makes you loose money, is the lack or a clear strategy with your limits for losses and profits well determined. So in my opinion is the lack of discipline and bad emotional control that makes you lose money, and not the gambling itself.

I think you're right...what I understand from what SyGambler said is that he will stop gambling when he get small profit after playing several hands/rolls/spins/bets depends on what game he play (not in one bet only)

u are right, i remember a poker whale who has earned over 800k USD online, he said that gambling the thing which the odds he can control, like poker, sports betting. That's why we can see lots of good players are earning money on poker and sports in long term, very few guys are profitable on casino games in long term.

I already try that method setting a low goals but its kind not enough and mostly after I win it I will addicted t it and in the end I will lose all of my bets. That is just the same for the next day, its hard for me to control my winning rate, always want to earn more and more. Seems its not effective for addicted player like me

I did that a lot when I first started.  It's easy to get caught up in a winning streak and then forget that the same losing streak can come just as easy.  It's also easy to get sucked into the idea of high win percentages offered by dice sites.  But when you bet a 90% win chance don't forget that you can still very easily get four losses in a row and wipe out your strategy and bank roll.  But that's how the odds are setup.  They are there to make you think you have a good chance when the reality is that you should set very modest win goals and then get out when you hit that goal.

Well on long term casino its very hard to be profitbale on higher volume betting.  With poker there are many players who have earned over 1 mil maybe the number is several hundred people quite easily.

yep that exactly what I meant , I didn't mention anything about how to bet or what payout to use
I meant that if your goal is to win 1% of your bankroll daily you should immediately stop after hitting it
cause there are many people win a good percentage and they keep rolling for a long period and increase their bet limits

Recovering is the worst thing you can do. You should always stop when you think you have lost enough instead of trying to chase back your loses. And why do you even have to run after your loss? Were you not just gambling the money you didn't need?

Recovering is the worst thing you can do. You should always stop when you think you have lost enough instead of trying to chase back your loses. And why do you even have to run after your loss? Were you not just gambling the money you didn't need?

I agree with adzino.
You can gamble for fun or be a poker or sports betting pro, but they both have something in common and that is the bankroll management. In either of them you can only bet the money you already know you can lose so you can have fun if that is your purpose or so you can keep your focus on what you are doing if you are there to make a living out of gamble. If you are chasing your losses you are nervous and in bad emotional shape so you will not having any fun, and you will not think straight which will make just lose more and feel bad about it.

So yeah that is the main rule about gambling that people really have to master, only bet what you can really lose without getting emotional about it. You can be mad for the bad decision or bad luck, that is normal, but you can't be mad for the loss of money, thus you can't try to recover it. That can't be the purpose or gambling.

i tried to recover from my looses too when i was a newbie on gambling though after a few times i noticed that if you want to be successful in it you have to undergo all your looses and try again later, its much more better than betting non stop
