I started this thread in the main Bitcoin Discussion board asking people how many bitcoins they could afford risking in an investment, and it turned out that most of them could afford very little or nothing.

Since this is the Marketplace board, I am curious to know if the regulars of this section would give a different answer.

Consider the following:

1) You face an opportunity to make 10 bitcoins in a month by investing only 1 bitcoin with no collateral.

2) Your first reaction is to think that this is a scam so you naturally become skeptical of it, thinking that you're gonna be ripped off.

3) To satisfy your curiosity you contact the announcer and you receive a full detailed transcription of how the investment will be done.

4) After carefully analyzing it you change your mind. Despite the high risk of losing everything, you believe that the announcer is serious, the investment is worthwhile, and you get all excited to participate.

In this case, how many of you have 1 bitcoin available to invest right now if you had to send it in the next 24 hours?

To answer this question please consider the fact that you do indeed want to participate.

All I want to know is how many of you would able to send 1 bitcoin in the next 24 hours instead of willing to participate but grieving for not being able to afford it.

Thanks.

those questions sound a bit fishy, it's like you want to know how many of us will accept one of your offer, that could potentially be seen as a scam at first glance

i can tell you that i would be able, but i will not do it, because i'll not change my mind, like you said in point 4

It is impossible to be realized such earnings in one month. So I will not change my mind after discussing with the person which want my bitcoin. I have 1 bitcoin but never will send it to invest in this kind of investment.

Depends. If i had high amount of btc like 85+ i would give it a shot as it wouldn't hurt me financially much.

And if the investment opportunity was legit it was actually a worth taking the risk.

Having been ripped off for 1.5 bitcoin already in this forum, I would be very hesitant to spend another sum like this, even though it came from faucets. I would need full disclosure and proof from someone other than the person posting the offer.

After what I have seen with all the previous so called trusted investments companies and what now I don't think any one could convince me to invest 1 Bitcoin. So to answer your question, I might have it but I would never invest it in something like this.

I have BTC1.

Making 10x that would be possible on 1broker if you short BTC1 with 200x leverage on EURUSD with open price of 1.101 and close price of 1.045. But no collateral or surety bond for my BTC1 so I get it back no matter if you/your site/anyone else is hacked or your investment otherwise failed=fuck off.

P.S. Does anyone have so much trust that 1broker.com's hot and cold wallets will not be hacked, that you are willing to put down a surety bond (in case they do get hacked) in 2of2 multisig (Copay) with me? Let's discuss it here.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

That is really weird thing to want to know, most of us will have enough to invest one bitcoin. Not sure why you need or want to know, I would ask for more details to go over it, so #3 but when I see a clear as day scam attempt, others would be made aware so that it had a smaller chance of being a success. 1 for 10, "If something seems to good to be true"

If you deposit my 10 BTC with the right escrow before anything else happens then that would be lovely. Other than that, french kiss my ring piece.

It's that much of a dead cert why bother sharing it with anyone else?

I can afford to lose 1 BTC but would never invest it in anything sketchy like this. I generally go by the rule of "if it's too good to be true then it probably is". I'd rather lose my 1 BTC gambling at a casino or dice instead of some sketchy "investment" opportunity that promises XXX% returns.

You would rather spend 1 BTC  in a casino or dice instead of some sketchy "investment" opportunity?

Help me understand, Don`t you gamble when you Invest in High Yield Investments ? sure you are provided with prospectus and all sorts of information but in the end if the company fails your investment goes down the drain, Just like when you roll the dice and the numbers are not in your favor your BTC is gone.

You would rather give your BTC to the scammers who run the casino with the odds in their favor all the time.

I have invested or gambled my 1 BTC with karl the guy who runs moneyinpjs and have received returns

Thanks.

Sure, if you can can convince me the investment is worthwhile, I have 1 BTC sitting here.

Thanks.

1) Unless they have collateral guarantee that would be sent (like altcoin) within 2~3 days, or they have at least one success trust level, otherwise i would not likely to lend.

2) There are infinite possibilities, meaning there are a very few of the loans are legit with that. Not completely all of the high yield is explicitly a scam.

3) I would take all of those evidence and get to valid it and consider the risk.

4) If that was me, i would create a "smart contract" to prevent scam.

They certainly need valid evidence, if i was still paid in the original amount invested, i would do. However, i would more likely to do if i could afford the loss.

out of ability to use the signature, i want a new ban strike policy that will fade the strike after 90~120 days of the ban and not to be traced back, like google | email me for anything urgent, message will possibly not be instantly responded

If something sound too good to be true it is a scam.
So my answer is: If I hear about such an opportunity i will not invest a single satoshi and warn everyone not to invest too
