Seems like the MN is way too small if it is only 20,000 to run one. If it is that number people can have plenty from the get go.
|
If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks

Hmm, I didn't think virustotal could be accurate with a password protected (encrypted) file. How would an anti-virus scanner be able to read the un-encrypted file to determine it's safety? Maybe this is a stupid question or maybe virustotal is just scanning encrypted garbage? Can someone very knowledgable elaborate on this please.

Ok i read the coin specs and i think it gonna overtake all doge coins ...But why are you creating this coin? Whats the purpose? Greece is about to kick the bucket and people will be looking for a safe storage for their money. Bitcoin volatility does not help, so nothing better than Masterdoge to provide this essential service.

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

I'm pretty sure that block was the premine since I hit block #2 and a few after that. So only the premine was mined before the start which is why it is called a premine. Here is my Transaction ID: fa423290689be9714e013cc31b4191f2b025486032f1c58ea920912f5a8bec49 that has 151 confirms and we are on block 152.

It looks like there was insane hash on the coin at launch, the hash now left leaving the difficulty of the coin skyrocketed and with the "normal" hash the blockchain is not moving as no blocks are being found.

The problem is: This error can occur anytime again... My personal opinion would be to fix the coin by looking at the last XX blocks and/or last XX minutes instead of only the last block and the last minute for retarget .. This way its less probable that the chain gets stuck again.. Same problem was with Vape yesterday...

Thank you for your suggestion, I've began working on it. I'm contemplating a solution that won't just make the chain becoming stuck "less" likely, but certainly not likely. Open to suggestions, but as I said will try some various approaches.

So did someone actually put 500Gh on this coin or was it just the difficulty adjustment algo that made it go screwy like that? I'm thinking the latter is most likely. Can you just implement digi-shield or kgw?

The problem with the diff retarget is exactly the same as it has been with all these other fail launches lately, he has set the interval over which it calculates the difficulty to be too short. It should be 3-5 blocks' worth of time, not 1 block.
Talking about fixing this as though its some big compromise is ludicrous. Just fix it. 3-5 blocks for the adjustment period has worked for 1000 coins in the last year.

If it really was 8000+, it would take me many hours to find a block, but I've find blocks every minute. But for some reason pools can't find any block with more hashes.

It was more than 500 GHs; I think 1300ish GH/s at one point, or even higher. I manged to screen capture while in the 715 GH/s range, https://i.imgur.com/U4AP3dR.png it was on http://hashgoal.com/pool/MDOG/

Yes, we altered the XPH codebase which already had masternodes built in. Then again, every coin is a clone of another, did XPH have the patent rights over that paticular code base or something? Also, there was actually a two-hour pre-announcment prior to launching, giving miners and pools plenty of time prepare. Lastly, we offer quite a generous buffet of possible bounties anyone can claim, miner, trader, or simple enthusiast. If you have any more questions, please feel free to post or PM me, thanks! https://i.imgur.com/nGM2CYX.jpg

Now this is quite interesting from the Pharma dev-- basically an admission there was no giant scrypt factory rented at all, just faked hashrate on the coin. Much as I suspected.

It was the overwhelming amount of hashing very early in PoW that led to the issues we experienced earlier. We've manged to smoothly asscess it and are continuing forward. Yes; that PM is real, but really isn't important. You mentioned it and I saw it as an opportunity to clear the air in one response.

wow, scammers get more creative every week. So the latest is to fake huge hashrates and get people to pay for the immense cost of production.....? the fuck? thanks for posting pharma's pm btw.. whether you knew this or not is good to know there's a new trick around we should be wary of. This is forked from XPH. And it did have some suspicious hash too. Makes you think.

yeah i only dont know where that is comming from haha, its not from the pools.. The only thing i do know is that something is really wrong in here The hashrate calculation (and therefore also the diff calculation) is totally wrong on this coin. Don't believe the values. I'm currently investigating what is going on and what is exactly "wrong" in the code but I have quite little time today. I'll report back when I know more. I suggest not to invest a lot of money in mining this for obvious reasons.

yeah i only dont know where that is comming from haha, its not from the pools.. Thanks OC do your stuff pal.

Lol you don't seem to understand.. The code is (probably) "exploitable" i.e. somebody has a modified version of the daemon and generates arbitrary blocks without really having so much hash.. He just pushes a few buttons and gets blocks without really pushing that much hash in.. (and this results, if used wrong, in nethash and netdiff going so high...) As said, I've got no proof yet, still investigating, but its very likely.

So if you can not find out what's wrong, nobody is blaming you. I hope to get some answers from the dev. ofc i stopped my miners because my reward was 1 mdoge in like 1 month if i look the block round time haha

If you refer to the Pharma coin ann page you post numerious postive, or possibly postive or interesting comments. MasterDoge is a clone of that very same coin you were parsing. How can you conclude that their coin isn't hampered, but ours, (THE SAME CODEBASE) is? That just doesn't process with me, can you please explain? From Pharma : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1082835.msg11675613#msg11675613I'm really interested how this goes.. I don't see any dump yet, the Dev's still seem to hold all of their coins, so currently no one was hurt or no one profited here anyway. The Homepage looks nice, the Shop is still about to launch, masternodes are STILL increasing and working well, Chain is moving, Block explorer is the best you can get.. Hashrate was absolutely crazy during POW, only 2-3 % of Hash was on Suprnova even though there was around 8-20gh/s on the pool all the time... I saw peaks up to 500 gh/s on the official pool...
I double and triple checked the code to see if there was any flaw in the code but found nothing - everything looks legit from the code side. I even asked earlz to have a look again and he also did not find anything... For this ultra insane amount of hash someone MUST have paid for.. So somehow these folks MUST get the money out at some point...
I'm not buying but I'm really eager to see what happens after 1.st July

There is a exploit probably you even didn't notice. It's obvious. Do you really believe someone is mining this coin 3ths scrypt? While litecoin price jumps to the moon. Its impossible. Definetly some hidden code causes that fake hash and you even don't know it. Try to clone another coin next time.

Oh I'm sorry, of course both codebase must have that exploit. You referenced to a quite old Post of me, at that point i thought it might be legit but with recent developments and after i had a deeper Look into this coin i am almost certain there is an exploit. I am wrapping everything up currently and waiting for someone else to confirm my findings and ill Report back then.

Thanks but where does the hash comming frome? its not from a miner or a miner rig, this hash rate is impossible. How can it be that when i mine on suprnova the blockfound time is like 1289048329 hours for 1 block? I mined almost all dogecoins ( especially darkdogecoin (doged ) and litedoge (ldoge) ) without any problems and i get many coins, this coin is just a waste of electrity because u get like nothing.... I suggest to relaunch this coin without all this crap, ask ldoge or doged dev's they know how to create a coin without problems. Net Hashrate: 2,906,872.82 MH/s this is not possible, so relaunch the coin without all this bugs or whatever it are.

My tries setting up a decent block explorer (insight) for this coin have failed so far.. Not really sure why, something seems to be wrong with the block structure.
If anyone is able to set it up it'll be greatly appreciated.

This coin has actively been exploited - look through that post from earlz. This coin is broken - it does not sync with a fixed/correct version of pbkdf2.cpp - that means someone has actively used the exploit already, the coin cannot be salvaged.

As far as we know, it affects Pharmacoin (the original exploit), HexxoCoin and MasterDoge. I don't know of any others but at this point if a coin's heritage can be traced to Pharma then it's likely to contain the exploit.

We had no idea this codebase had an exploit in it until Earlz clarified. Which was hours after our attempt what we thought would be a fix (re-target diff. every 25mins).
Then Earlz posts his findings. We agree the code is broken and the fork won't solve that, now that is.
We are going to replace 'pbkdf2.cpp' file that is exploited, make new genesis block with premine of 4350000 MDOGE, redistribute after collecting all addresses from who has a balance in their wallet using the blockexplorer rich list, then send them all to their same address.
Please dump your privkeys and save them in a text file to be able to collect your new coins.
How to :
Start your wallet, go to Help, debug windows, Console. Type: dumpprivkey YOUR_ADDRESS_HERE , press enter then save that long string in a text file for later use.
3 hours or so.
Thank you to Earlz for his findings/postings.

We had no idea this codebase had an exploit in it until Earlz clarified.
Good that I did NOT tell you two or three times already your code is broken, at least you don't ignore earlz I hope you don't take it personally; as I have the most respect for you as does this community. I'm thankful we all realized the degree of how "unknown" this exploit was. Please provide your BTC address as well, you were helpful no doubt. Thanks, not needed.

Good luck dev on the relaunch and swap. Being so reasonable I might withdraw your Poop Goat award and change to Golden Goat. You might want to increase the cost of MN on your relaunch if you plan to keep the same maxcoin.

Are we just out of luck on the unconfirmed coins we had on the mining pools?
