Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Thank you for your suggestion, I've began working on it. I'm contemplating a solution that won't just make the chain becoming stuck "less" likely, but certainly not likely. Open to suggestions, but as I said will try some various approaches.

So did someone actually put 500Gh on this coin or was it just the difficulty adjustment algo that made it go screwy like that? I'm thinking the latter is most likely. Can you just implement digi-shield or kgw?

The problem with the diff retarget is exactly the same as it has been with all these other fail launches lately, he has set the interval over which it calculates the difficulty to be too short. It should be 3-5 blocks' worth of time, not 1 block.

Talking about fixing this as though its some big compromise is ludicrous. Just fix it. 3-5 blocks for the adjustment period has worked for 1000 coins in the last year.

Nobody ever put 500Gh on this coin and difficulty is not real. I have find many
blocks with 1.7 GHs when difficulty was 8000+. If it really was 8000+, it would
take me many hours to find a block, but I've find blocks every minute. But for some
reason pools can't find any block with more hashes.

It was more than 500 GHs; I think 1300ish GH/s at one point, or even higher.

I manged to screen capture while in the 715 GH/s range,

This is forked from XPH. And it did have some suspicious hash too. Makes you think.

Yes, we altered the XPH codebase which already had masternodes built in. Then again, every coin is a clone of another, did XPH have the patent rights over that paticular code base or something? Also, there was actually a two-hour pre-announcment prior to launching, giving miners and pools plenty of time prepare.
Lastly, we offer quite a generous buffet of possible bounties anyone can claim, miner, trader, or simple enthusiast. If you have any more questions, please feel free to post or PM me, thanks!

So the codebase creates wrong hashrate?
I am not blaming you, I thought xph had something fishy with it's codebase because of the huge hashrate.

Is this PM for real? LOL.

Now this is quite interesting from the Pharma dev-- basically an admission there was no giant scrypt factory rented at all, just faked hashrate on the coin. Much as I suspected.

There has been no false creation of hash rate. It was the overwhelming amount of hashing very early in PoW that led to the issues we experienced earlier. We've manged to smoothly asscess it and are continuing forward. Yes; that PM is real, but really isn't important. You mentioned it and I saw it as an opportunity to clear the air in one response.
