I bought ~9.5 LTC a long back for ~$1.8 each and now its hovering around $7.5-$*
I didnt mean to make money here but I just wanted to hold on to a dozen or so LTC, and it turned out to be great, and it seems like due to the block halving, the price is going up(I'm not really sure whether this is the reason).

People been saying "it is a bad time to buy" when it first hit $3, then $4, $5, $6, now its $7.

If they're serious, they should wait and see where it settles now that the bubble's popped.

Last few weeks have been really exciting with litecoin, today I check exchange rate at 8:30 am, it was really good, thought of caching out some litecoin, but had to wait until lunch, at 11:00 am checked exchange rate and there was a big dump, now it's up again.

Holding up well all things considered. You don't really want single powers having millions of the supply anyway. Good that he dumped out. Could have waited a little longer though to do so. Always seems strange to dump out like that unless you want to scare and get back in lower.

In light of the fact that bitcoin is having confirmation slowdowns because of transaction/spamming issues, litecoin is going to have some real staying power after this pump.

Not saying ltc will ever replace btc, but it is a valid replacement should the need arise. And Coblee, litecoins Dev, solved the tx/spam issue years ago.

good price would be under 0.0151 - 0.0141 and 0.121
so better split your order to reduce risk, never go allin.
Agood way would be a order ladder like this

Its very unlikely that the price will go so deep down, but when it happens you are gettin a average price of ~0.0123
So you are limited in risk since the Price is only 0.062 points away from the longtime low and its not hard
to recover from this Place.
On the other hand when the price retraces from 0.014 upward you are 40% in with 0.01485 avg Price.

Anyway try to learn how decide for yourself. Too much fanboys on this forum.
Even a SR or Hero status doesn't mean it's always a good advise

That's the wisest approach. In this sad old world, the only people who buy at the low are: a) people who bought a flatlining coin and waited a looong time for it to wake up; b) plumb lucky.

at 216 usd elec a month I make 450 coin....or after the halving it will be 225 of LTC.. so I kinda pre-paid with the old charge card(s)  etc (and lucky 2nd titan) into mining ..not putting any cash in now ...just paying for past 'newbie' somewhat 'dubious' choices

My current (whim of an assumption it changes moment to moment) ....is after halving when all settles down it will be (imho I know squat remember)  $4 LTC again and BTC hell will probably be 400 usdby the end of the year for BTC too boot. (yea verily the LTC to BTC pattern continues)

What does worry me is ...will LTC survive as it has in its Yoshi like tag along manner to btc's Mario up and past the BTC halving next year in 2016?
 
If so how much LTC should I hold for the coat tail hanging BTC rocket at that point?
