I understand that now CS GO has standard price on Steam but this game is part of every Summer\Winter Steam sale and I can vaguely recall the lowest price being around $3.74 (82% discount).
While usually price reduction on CS Go is 50%-75%. So people who remember that low Sale Price are gonna cry that $8 is high compared to Steam Sale.

The lowest that it goes for 7.5$ during the sales, it's almost 2 months since the last sale, so 7.5-8$ price is pretty reasonable
And for example right now on G2A or whatever sites you'll never find it cheaper than that
