Its interesting to ask why he chose this model of distribution in the first place. Why not give each of the coins an equivalent weight determined by its market cap median for the last month or so. This would be fair.

This is my conjecture with facts thrown in for pattern recognition.

1. Spots bought a boat load of BALLS and 10K when they were at 1 sat.
2. Then had a great idea. "Lets merge this two and crunch them" <-
2a. Since he knew before hand he was going to do this he made sure to get his lorry full before he announced this.
3. The merge and crunch happen and he has many TEETH.
4. The exchange happened and he got about 20K TEETH, if i remembered correctly.
4a. But the poor guy had to pay from his own pocket some fees and stuff, because people are mean...
5. There was a problem with the staking formula because some people only staked for the 6480% blocks. And this diluted his big advantage.
6. He launches vary as a test chain (which gets in some exchanges despite being a "test").
  a. Vary rewards 1 coin per POW block.
  b. POW lasts until the bazillionth block.
  c. He asks people not to rent hashing power for this because its just a test chain.
  d. For the initial blocks the difficulty was extremely small ensuring someone with good hash power would get many blocks.
  e. The staking rewards SMALL blocks.
  f. There is not a block explorer despite this coin is traded on reputable exchanges.
7. Then he has the great idea of merging the four coins. Who do you think came out on top?

Not to mention the that time (that I noticed) when the TEETH chain went back about 1 or 2k blocks (it was 2 days worth I think).

The beauty lies in the fact that a bunch of guys who see some ego-maniacal little wannabe despot trying to control their money, they can say:

I don't know about scams or not only the fact that I am not the best of traders at the best of times and always entered in his coins when they were high and I lost around 2 btc on SPOTTY coins, others did really well from them so I guess it was just my bad luck lol. So apart from buying my own coin and a couple of other stable ones I just work for bounties now, buying coins for me is too risky.. Until I learn to mine that is..

People complaining about Spots are mostly people that did not read the threads and notices and did not follow the set rules and lost out because of their own laziness/incompetence. I agree that some of Spots' decisions could have been done better especially applying a weighted avg on the last merge. However, those that followed the threads and interpreted the planned moves and coin specs properly, made tons because one could see the impact from a mile and could prepare accordingly.

Spots just takes no-nonsense and sticks to his guns. It is never possible to please everyone in this game. Remember that crypto currently is very much like the Wild West of the 1860s and everyone follows the best middle road they can. When you are moving through a jungle clearing bush with a machete, no-one can really be blamed for going left or right since there is no map for what lies ahead and at least from experience people that then follow will know don't go left there or don't go right there. At some point better generally accepted rules and regulations will form that governs things like merges, swops, new coins and the likes. In the mean time sometimes you win and sometimes you lose and anyone that does not already write off any money invested in crypto should rather go buy government bonds. This place is lawless, but necessary to produce innovation for a digital future. In that sense I like some of Spots' experiments, especially on the high POS. High POS sounded like a good idea but was not economically viable and it had to be reigned in. Bringing it into one stall was a good idea not necessary executed perfectly but taking a hair cut is much better any day than being abandoned outright.

You can love Spots or hate him and it is possible to say many pros and cons about his actions, but he is still around, taking the flack on the chin and moving forward despite all the attacks and animosity.     I'm one to complain about spots.  Personally I don't think he was out to scam anyone.  But by his actions, he's caused a few half way decent coins to collapse.  If the group wants to take them over, I say more power to you. 

   The problem I've noticed is spots is bi-polar.  He's also manipulative.  Throws childish temper tantrums when people don't agree with him.  Then he deletes posts, including his own.

   At one point during vary testing the people in BTCtalk were the best because everyone was testing out his new stuff.
   now, he hates everyone of them and there all fools. 

   Someone asked for help with a conf file.  Conf files are for shit coins to make them able to run. 
   4 posts later, add maxcon=999 to the conf file... 

   At one point he was the greatest developer to ever live, only he could understand everything.

   No coin control in his earlier coins, because he didn't want people gaming the system.

Listen its hard to imagine a person whom you trusted  committing a scam and I think everyone cannot pass judgement on us complainers until you do your own hard research. We are trying to notify others that there are some strange patterns since 10k swap. Do you realize that after all these swaps the new Bucks is still not perfect.

Why is it so important for us to put 5000 coins into gorillabucks? whom gets rewarded from that?

Please everyone look carefully at you transactions. How many had credits then debits after receiving a POS in the beginning. Do you see them now.? I see them in the transactions using bucks explorer. The wallet explorer was working at one too.

I haven't received a stake since July 1st. Yet everyday I get closure to receiving a stake my day increase another 2 days before earning rewards. My wallet has been on straight for 3 days yet increases from 9 to 14 days before earning rewards yet nothing since July 1st with only 21 coins.
I have staked others coins before and all coins continue to decrease the amount of time to earn rewards the latest UNITS.

I checked my wallet address and on July 14 there was a 2 dollar debit yet doesn't reflect in my wallet transaction list.


Before you judge us please look at everything sometimes your neighbor whom you drank coffee commits a crime and all you have to say to the media was. " He was good to us how could he do something like this"

I don't understand point of this garbage. You aren't hurting spot..you're hurting people who bought his coin by spreading this rumor. If you have problem with him then you should deal with him personally in civilized manner instead of spreading this garbage that's too long to read.

I bought MMXIV because I thought it had potential and price was falling...soon I realized that trex was going to remove it so I had to convert it to bucks. Its interesting to ask why he chose this model of distribution in the first place. Why not give each of the coins an equivalent weight determined by its market cap median for the last month or so. This would be fair.

This is my conjecture with facts thrown in for pattern recognition.

1. Spots bought a boat load of BALLS and 10K when they were at 1 sat.
2. Then had a great idea. "Lets merge this two and crunch them" <-
2a. Since he knew before hand he was going to do this he made sure to get his lorry full before he announced this.
3. The merge and crunch happen and he has many TEETH.
4. The exchange happened and he got about 20K TEETH, if i remembered correctly.
4a. But the poor guy had to pay from his own pocket some fees and stuff, because people are mean...
5. There was a problem with the staking formula because some people only staked for the 6480% blocks. And this diluted his big advantage.
6. He launches vary as a test chain (which gets in some exchanges despite being a "test").
  a. Vary rewards 1 coin per POW block.
  b. POW lasts until the bazillionth block.
  c. He asks people not to rent hashing power for this because its just a test chain.
  d. For the initial blocks the difficulty was extremely small ensuring someone with good hash power would get many blocks.
  e. The staking rewards SMALL blocks.
  f. There is not a block explorer despite this coin is traded on reputable exchanges.
7. Then he has the great idea of merging the four coins. Who do you think came out on top?

Not to mention the that time (that I noticed) when the TEETH chain went back about 1 or 2k blocks (it was 2 days worth I think).

You guys do understand that the one who controls the checkpoint server controls the chain, right? Decentralization, schmentralization.

Not everyone is picking on Spots, it seems to be a Clique of troublemakers who are kicking up a fuss because they could not bully him into doing what they want
