Kano is going to be the other person... yes I know he wasn't on the list, but internally we felt he would be the best candidate since he should basically be beyond reproach as far as kowtowing to BFL for obvious reasons.  I mean, we can clearly buy off Yochdog with Titties and Beer, but Kano doesn't drink beer.

Double up on the titties.

LOL good choice. Remember he's in Australia too, and no way would he be paying for his own airfare.

Problem?

Yes problem.

this forum, everyone cast a forum member to go...

ok every say what you want about the ones that bubbled up...

ok, start a brand new forum...

ok, have an 'official' pole to vote for one of the 10 that bubbled up...

ok...well, never mind, we pick XXX.

why did i waste all that fukin time reading and voting and politicizing for my pick???  what a fukin waste of my time!

edit:
Maybe i am jumping the gun.

Did sunbreak say he cant go?
did we find he is not knowledgeable enough?
did we find he has pre orders for asics somewhere?

hmmm...
1. not that i know of
2.  you should see his setup and what he knows about mining
3.  he does not have any asic orders, so you cannot buy him with titties and beers.....  well maybe beers.

You should be happy with the 2 people going anyway. Ydog voted in by a mile, although I think others (Sunbreak) would really be better suited, having Kano would be cool.

We chose the top contender, what more do you want?  Seriously... it's like impossible to please people.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

I guess i wrongly assumed it was 2 people that 'the community' was voting for?

but going back and reading your original thread

Quote
I would like to know what one or two individuals (in the US preferably, unless the non-US person wants to pony up a ticket) that Bitcoin Talk community would nominate and accept as credible, verifiable individuals to be flown here to KC sometime around the end of October/Beginning of November time frame to see our facility, inspect the manufacturing equipment and test out the devices.  We don't have an exact date yet as to when we would do this, but I would like to get the ball rolling as far as names in the hat and see if there's even a vague consensus on who the individual(s) might be.

I guess it was only one person all along and you would pick the other one..

I just wouldn't have wasted soo much time if i knew it was 1.  It was clear from the beginning that Yoch had that spot.

I'm ticked off you selected someone who doesn't drink beer.  That just ain't right.  Of course you could send me the beer you were going to buy him, that would help sooth my disappointment.

being one of the 1st people nominated and knowing I couldn't afford airfare I didn't follow this much
damn if I'd known bfl was actually paying airfares I would have campaigned like a potential U.S. president  Grin Grin Grin

we should have know though
BFL: moves goalposts - at will, but expects trust

I worked out for me, a while ago, I cannot trust this company so have ordered from another ASIC manufacturer.
Each of us must make that decision for themselves.

Good luck to those chosen Smiley

Yochdog and kano? You couldn't have picked a better pair! Unless Graet had made it a trio. Wink

He replied on the other forum, so I guess they're talking now the details of the trip.

This.

Josh and I are just starting to talk details.  Stay tuned.
Hi Smiley

Edit:
.. oh and in case anyone doesn't read the cgminer thread, I have 2x6950, 2xIcarus, 1xBFLSingle and 1xModMinerQuad
in the order I got them.
I bought the BFL from anitrack, not BFL

... I wanna point cgminer at one of these things ...

... in a locked room with nothing but a black Cat-6 cable for internet running to a computer with no hard drive (or a screwdriver so I can fix that), a single power point, a glass table and see through plastic chair, and I'll boot a USB of my own making ... just to be sure Smiley

Hmm I wonder if I can get cgminer to compile on my phone Tongue

Now I need to get the protocol spec before I go, so I can build a cgminer driver to run it ...

Yochdog and I are both from Idaho, so I should just tag along with him, yeah? Graet should be there as well.

How about this, BFL: Invite everyone you've ever done business with to come to Kansas City for a party?!

+1

You don't eat yellow snow, so why would you drink yellow beer?
