if mainstream adoption is getting stronger by that time, i.would say around $4000. don't think it will go much higher than that.

the question is, I feel like bitcoin already had a spotlight for last 4 or 5 years now.

being on cnn articles and other popular sites, that still didnt really increase any price of value. So its either people dont care about bitcoin or they just rather stick with fiat money.

So over the last 4 or 5 years as you say there really hasn't been an increase in value?

Please try again.

As you can see on bitcoin price chart history, it's price always increase exponentially.
So probably bitcoin can reach $ 10.000. But for year 2020 , I'm sure bitcoin's value will reach more than $ 1000

I think hes referring to how he expected the prices to be way higher like that mt.gox moment.

When we all saw bitcoin at like $1k at that time. But, in general i think by end of this year should be minimum 300ish.

Well we need a pretty much another Mt.Gox to push the price up to that value. I'm not that optimistic that it could even hit $700 again in the next 5 yrs.

How come you don't have an option between $10k and $100k?

I think it will be in the $50k range by Fall of 2020, but I'm not sure exactly where it'll be at the start of 2020. Probably in the low to mid four-digit range. 2020 would be when President Paul has to leave office, after having served two terms, so there will be some volatility, naturally. Smiley

EDIT: Whoops, I was an idiot, obviously it wouldn't be two terms at that point.

i think 1 bitcoin will be $1000 or more in 2020.The 2020 is a long ways away from now, we need 5 years to make it happen. But you know It is very hard to make a predictions especially long term prediction. But if we se based on its popularity in 2020 bitcoin user would be increased and many more company and merchant using bitcoin for their transaction i believe its gonna happen Smiley

because if it can reach 1k in 2020 we know that bitcoin failed miserably

also 2020 is halfway through the prediction of satoshi of 20 years zero volume or big volume

~$300k

this mena that at this halving we would already be at 10k at the very least, otherwise it seem impossible for the price to climb that much in less than 3-4 years

... in July 2010 it was 0.30 (30 cents), in July 2015 it is $300 (1000 times in 5 years).

With the same exponent of capital appreciation growth it will be $300k in July 2020.

Hah! Good point although seems way too much. There's just one way to find out now. Time to get into the basement and enter the time machine.

Something between $0 - $100.000. Fact is no one knows.
My wish of course would be $100k. But I doubt that this will happen.
So whatever the price will be in 5 years we will have to deal with it.Simple is that.

Bitcoin will be worth between $10k-$50k.

This is the level that i also predict. I expect a price of 20-25k$. It might look insane now, but with a growing network and more and more usecases, the price has to go up. At the same time i think bitcoin is currently extremely undervalued.

It has high potential of becoming the premier gauge of value (the role physical gold use to have).

Why are you assuming Paul has even a chance at winning the elections? I've always thought elections are literally rigged, so no matter how many people vote someone like Paul, he will never be elected as president. They'll make it look as if it was a close tie or something, to get away with it.

That's close to Satoshi's long term prediction, either everyone will be using it, or no one will be using it. If everyone's using it in 5 years then it could easily hit $100k, and if no one's using it the price could drop to zero. There's always unforeseeable events that could make either happen.
