How did you first hear about bitcoin?

As i remember in  2011 or 2012 on either the Overcoming Bias or Less Wrong discussion threads. I knew immediately that it was important and I should invest, although I gave it only a few percentage points chance of catching on. I had the opportunity to purchase so many  BTC for $100 total  and I was planning to do so, but I got busy and didn't get the Bitcoin software downloaded, public key generated and letter sent off.
After that I figured it was too expensive to buy in, but I finally did in the fall of 2015 because it was clear to me that our present financial system is not sustainable due to debt overload.

First I heard bitcoin is from a friend of mine. I saw how good he is earning even though he doesn't have any work then I ask him what he is doing to earn and he told me about bitcoin. How high the current value is and what he is doing to earn it. I also done some research about it and I can say that I'm still learning.

im so curious how he earn so i ask him to teach me then basics and i study it by myself.

I first heard bitcoin from my schoolmates. Then, I've read something about it on a website, followed by more researches because it caught my interest. Now, I'm spending half of my time a day in Bitcoin, which gave me a temporary sideline. All is good , especially that Bitcoin is decentralized. I'll be able to do what I like and buy what I want in no time.

I heard bitcoin to my close friend. She teach me how to do after i registered here. As newbie i need to explore more about it. Read a lot. Study and ask something that i do not understand. I hope soon i really understand the bitcoin. Bacause as i can see to my friend she give up her work to pay attention on bitcoin and teach it for those people who are interesting about bitcoin.

I heard bitcoin because of my classmate. I am so amaze of his income. He's just a student but he's gaining money. What made me more amaze is that his income is much bigger than the income of other working student that exerts so much effort. And now that I know this bitcoin, I spend a lot reading here in forum.

I first hear about bitcoin thru a social media campaign then I saw one of my friend paying for her bills using bitcoin. I learned about bitcoin through my husband. He was the one who introduced it to me and told me we can earn money through bitcoin. Since im currently unemployed I told my self why not. At first i search about it and how it works then i found my self signing up here. Right now im earning bitcoin through signature campaign. Planning to invest bitcoin once i earn enough.

After long debate...one joked that he owns the moon and can sell it to the other guy (one defending Bitcoin) for a cheap price of 5k.
