Jonny opener batsmen was not batted well with De Koch but Matthew batsmen helped a lot team and performed great with De Kock and he made 52 runs. PC batsmen did not chase target 188 runs and lost game by big margin 48 runs. Adam effort was also very helpful to win this game and he took down 4 wickets in 4 overs. In next game, SEC team will face PR team.

Yes Sunrisers Eastern Cape remained on top of its game when Pretoria Capitals failed. Win in two games in row takes SEC to first position now, as it was brave decision to be first to bat and get high score of 188 runs. Star was Quinton de Kock who scored quick 77 runs and Matthew Breetzke helped with 52 runs when other opener did not do well. On bowling side, Adam Worrall did amazing task by taking 4 wickets to make sure that PC lost by big margin of 48 runs. MI Emirates was really searching for the wickets, they got Fakhar Zaman at the end of the day, 15th over somehow. But on the other hand they were struggling with Andries Gous, with an amazing innings of 120 runs off 58, and by the way, still at the end of the innings he remains not out.

In the International league T20 Desert Vipers defeated MI Emirates by 45 runs. Watch out for Andries Gous during the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup. Don't forget the fact that the United States of America is placed in the same group as India and Pakistan. Defeating any of these two teams can be an uphill task, but if players like Gous perform like this, anything is possible. Apart from Gous, US do have exceptional players such as Aaron Jones, Nosthush Kenjige, Ali Khan, Shayan Jahangir and Saurabh Netravalkar. Jon-Jon Trevor Smuts (better known as JJ Smuts), the 37-year old former South African player has announced that he will be available for selection for the Italian national team for the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup. Although he is a South African citizen, his wife is Italian and he can qualify through that route. Italy is placed in Group C, along with England, Bangladesh, West Indies and Nepal. It is not confirmed whether Emilio Gay will be available or not, as he is busy with county cricket. But there is no news on Joe Burns, who represented them during the qualifier matches.

Chattogram will not host more matches in this season of BPL. It has declared by the Official Cricket Board of Bangladesh. Bangladesh's former Prime Minister passed away, and this led to the stoppage of BPL at Chattogram for a couple of days. Now all the matches will be played at Sylhet till 12th January and then the other games including playoffs rounds will play at Dhaka till 23rd January.

Also they cannot extend or take more days for this league because they have to prepare for the upcoming World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
