There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

so what is wrong?
Shouldn't the URL be stratum+tcp://stratum.nexious.com:3333, instead of stratum+tcp://nexious.com:3333?

And whats new I went to enter a payment addy.
it refused the pin.
it refused to let me change the pin
it locked me out
and I am still waiting for an email to tell me what to do to fix this.
So I cancelled the rented hash and my advice is don't mine here.
As the website is a fucking disaster.
I will post when they send an email to fix the lock out.

I have had no trouble with nicehash rentals on this pool but have had trouble connecting from MRR. My last rental from MMR would not connect to the pool so I switched to failover pool and let that run for a while then switched back to this pool and it connected fine. No idea what might be causing these connect problems but was more stable before (could it be a cloudflare problem or is that just protecting the front end server?).

Well the nicehash issue was caused because the pool does not auto add your workers you must name them. but nicehash allowed order to start then cancelled it. I try 4 or 5 combos finally figured out how to get an order started. 50th for 10 hours. so I figured better double check payment address. is was blank went to add one said I had the wrong pin went to re set pin and it did not allow it locked me out. went to email no email. went to spam found email at this point went back to site said my pin is wrong and won't let me reset so it can go fuck itself. I have other things to do. I will spend elsewhere. I will give it a negative trust later if I can't fix it as I now have lost about 0.01 btc jerking around trying to help the pool

There seems to be no action on the issues on the web site that I raised. There are just a few miners on this pool, and its performance is already this terrible. It will be rendered useless when hundreds of miners trying to access it. Or perhaps it would not reach a hundred users due to this performance.
I noticed that the slowest access which has high chance to get error 524 is by clicking "Detailed Statistics" --> "Pool". I think this is due to over-protected (against DDoS attack) and trying to have more control over the users. It will be more smoother when users do not need to register and just use an address to mine on. So no need for password, pin number, email address, etc.

yeah full of pretty stuff and all of it can go wrong. well not much wasted here on my part. but I would not recommend this site. A simple pin re set to my email and I get locked out. I am glad I double checked my btc addy and my pin. at least the name and password are still working. But I don't have confidence in the op's ability to run the pool.

Sorry for the slight downtime of roughly 15 minutes, I also updated Bitcoin to 0.11.2 and migrated to a more high performance server. Issues seem to be resolved with connectivity with the testing I have done.
Philipma1957 I apologise for the issue should had, I noticed you had the wrong stratum url and yes you need to create workers for your account. I saw that you had 70TH/s so it was mining correctly once you had changed that. You may need to wait 10-15 minutes for your dashboard as it is an average over 24 hours and needs to build up.
I also checked your account and see that it is unlocked now, you also do not need to type your pin in to originally set your BTC address. If you have any more issues or suggestions please don't hesitate to pm me.

How do you figure you're "owed"? This is not a PPS pool. You aren't owed a damn thing until the pool finds a block, at which point you are paid for the number of shares you have at that time. Hence PPLNS: paid per last N shares. I don't know what the N window is here for Nexious, but your shares are only good for that time frame. If a block hasn't been found within that N time frame, then those shares don't get paid.

I don't have a clue if Nexious put the 5 BTC in escrow or not. He'd have to answer you there . Also, I'm not sure how accurate Nexious.com estimated earnings stats are. I mined here for very little time back when it first opened and I still show an expected 0.0128 BTC payout. Then again, they likely are accurate since the N value has probably not yet passed and my shares are still valid. In any case, if and when this pool finds a block, you'd get the value your shares are worth. If you aren't paid out, then you can let the scam accusations fly. That's what happened with BAN. Accusations all over the place about some rigged S3 giveaway, and payments not made to miners. That pool's model was flawed from the get go, and a lot of miners suffered for it.

There has been quite a bit of negativity around here. We should be supporting new pools that help decentralize and keep bitcoin alive.
Yes there have been some issues with the webpage connections, but it seems Nexious has updated their webserver late yesterday and I have not had any issues yet today. I also want to state that there hasn't seemed to be any backend issues through all of this. This great news and shows that Nexious has some idea about what he is doing.
I have a bunch of shares here and cant wait for me or someone else to find the first block.
The questions about the 5 BTC being in escrow is a decent question. I haven't thought about that, but it definitely would show more dedication and trustworthiness.
philipma - your initial issue came down to not having your worker set. Yes this is a little inconvenient because a bunch of other pools don't require this, but it is what it is. As far as setting your payout address, yes a little inconvenient with the pin# but I am sure Nexious thanks you for finding these issues and reporting them so he could address it.
I expect new pools to have some issues off the bat and for it to take a few days to determine the issues and resolve them. I support small pools and will be keeping some hash here.
LETS FIND THAT FIRST BLOCK!!!

Just for fun I threw 100TH/s here for the next day and a half or so. Figured it worth the gamble . Edit: by the way, I had absolutely no issues getting my NH order up and running. Sorry for the problems you had with yours, Phil.
