My miners seem to be running smoothly on this pool. None of them have fallen over to another pool in the last 2 days. (which I believe was due to unscheduled maintenance)
So this tells me the issues are on the front end (which I am seeing too). I am sure these issues will be ironed out. All new pools go through these learning curves, I'm sure.

The vardiff ports helped me add more hash seems my issues is when using port 3333 so maybe that one needs work. other ports are working great.

whats the front end, the part that handles incoming hash

whats the front end, the part that handles incoming hash No the front end is the website that displays statistics etc. The stratum server (that deals with mining/incoming hash, and other parts of the back end (payments, updating statistics, managing block finding etc) is having no issues what so ever). The problem seems rather intermittent with the front end, as it only effects some people and only sometimes. As they could try again in 5 minutes and it works perfectly fine for them.

Port 3335 works great now and fixed my problem so if ports matter it is 3333 that was giving me problems for awhile. I'll send over 16th and see what happens,

Port 3333 is the vardiff port, if you have issues with it you can use a fixed difficulty port (listed on website and first post) some miners like a fixed diff port instead of vardiff.

Promotion Extention!
Sadly the elusive first block is yet to be found. Some may call me crazy but I have decided to extend the promotion for another 24 hours! Here's what you can win; 5 BTC for the first block finder 1 BTC for the top 5 hashrates So get in quick because an offer like this won't come around again! Remember to let your friends and family know as the more miners we have the faster when can find that first block. Regards, Nexious

Almost 2K euro for charity? I am fan of technology also but it seems too much.for instance my pool has found two BTC blocks for almost a year now with constant 10-20 th and even though first one was pretty quick and I was expecting it will bring more users it was not the case. But that are yours money after all....

Well I've spend nearly 1k already in server costs etc over the ~6 months Nexious has been running. I guess this is kind of a last attempt at attracting miners as nothing else seems to interest them. If this doesn't work then atleast I know I have tried nearly everything possible to fufill the dream of why Nexious was created (too try help decentralise the hash from the larger pools etc). I have run the promotion for over a week and that hasn't brought in the desired amount of miners, so looks like no one will take up the offer anyway.

It made sense to renew the action, but to hit myself with this block,if possible? Thus to recover some costs, and then again all to consider how best the mining and attracting people. For example I think don't have block and payout, not who would not believe that it is not a Scam, and the like.Sorry if my opinion something has hurt or offended you,I just expressed my opinion, and of course I wish you luck and lots of blocks!!! Once again, sorry, but I write using the translator from Russian to English

I think you miscalculated the most important factor in starting a new pool, that is to gain the trust. I am not sure myself how to easily get that, because if I would know that I would start my own pool. You have tried to gain that by providing a great front end, but it seems that is not enough as there are still something wrong on its background infrastructures. Your pool has much better front end than for instance http://solo.ckpool.org, but they gained more trust from the miners. So perhaps great front end does not really matter here, and in your case I think that only hinders the miners in trusting your pool. From what I have observed, now a days the pools that regularly find new block at least 1 block a day have above 1 PH/s total hashrate. And the contributors on the pools that found the new blocks mostly have above 100 TH/s hashrates. So I think either you have to wait for much longer time and hope that the current miners still stay on your pool, or you have to invest much more in order to reach that level of hashrate by renting it.

Mining fun at NexiousThe first block is really that elusive and has yet to be found. The original promotion has ended but I'm that crazy to introduce another one! The 5BTC block finder bonus is here to stay, but now we have a 20% bonus for all miners who have mined before the first block! On your mining dashboard under est. earnings there is now a "Bonus" statistic. This is the bonus amount of BTC you would earn if a block was found right now! The best part of all this promotion does not have a time limit and is available until the first block is found I am looking into intermittent issues with the front end, but it doesn't seem to be problem for everyone. Please note this does not effect your shares or mining. Good luck and happy mining all! I am currently posting from my phone and will reply to messages/pm's when I get to my computer.

So I think either you have to wait for much longer time and hope that the current miners still stay on your pool, or you have to invest much more in order to reach that level of hashrate by renting it. One must face the hard facts - there are almost no miners left to attract. Less than 5% of the network is now miners that can actually choose a pool of their own. The bulk of the hashrate is from large farms that have zero interest in moving their hashrate. Trying to attract hashrate from the remaining miners who are loyal to their chosen pool - often for reasons that make no sense apart from the fact that they've always mined there and think it's somehow good - is virtually impossible. Temporary cloud miners renting hashrate at a virtual perpetual loss is of no usefulness to long term pool hashrate. Thus the market for extra pools is virtually non-existent. There is no sign that this is improving with time, only getting worse.

I rented a ton of hash and pointed it at your pool mainly due to the bonus you offered.
Tried 3 times and I never got the hash to start.
I pointed two s-7s they would not work . So here is the deal if you can't get the pool to work why should I bother.
I can either take a shot with ck pool and win a block or I can go to f2pool for certain income.
If some one is paying top dollar for renting I can point at nice hash.
Now if the rentals had worked I would have mined with really solid hash.
Some advice make the pool work or stop .

I was suggesting to rent the hashrate for the main objective of getting the first block for this pool. I am quite sure that the admin already realised by now that he is in loss position. But I think he and some of the miners on this pool including me still hope that thing might be different after the first block is found, even the chance for that is quite low with only below 40 TH/s pool total hashrate.

I'm not sure what issue you were having and haven't had any messages from you so wasn't aware you were having issues. I have rented hash from NiceHash/WestHash and miningrigrentals also with no problems (some rentals worked better on the fixed ports) There are currently over 40 miners mining at the moment and don't see any issues. Have you set your worker information in your account settings etc?

Yes you have a valid point -ck, maybe I am the only one that has an issue with these larger pools getting larger and gaining a huge percentage of the network. Or pools that spv mine and the likes. Yes Nexious may fail on the ideas it was founded on but atleast I can go to sleep at night knowing I've tried to make a difference. It saddens me but I guess everyone has to face the music eventually.

Don't make it sound like I'm happy about the situation. I fucking hate it, and I continue to do what I can, but I'm a realist.

I also never had any issues to connect this pool on nicehash. Additionally, I also have two S5's running on this pool without any issues whatsoever. Hope you can solve your connection issues so you can help us find the first block on this pool...

Front end connection problems from CloudFlare London . Still hashing OK from the miner side.
EDIT: Can now connect.
EDIT : EDIT: Spoke too soon. CloudFlare London reporting website is offline. Miners still connected and mining OK.
Hmmm, its back again. Maybe its just gonna be one of those days.
