Sucks I won’t be able to be in the stadium to see us lift the title but at this stage I’m just happy to see us win the title. It’s been so long, I was 3 or 4 the last time we did it so have no memory of it.

I saw it reported they wont play any LFC home games because the risk of fans coming to celebrate outside if they clinch it


A few grounds have tower blocks near by, those residents may be the luckiest fans in the UK.

Surely there is something going to happen as this is once in a life for many so they will celebrate and no one can stop them from this all even stick lock down as they are really one of most passionate supporters of soccer club in the world.

Liverpool won the league at 1990 last time, that is 30 years not 20 years. That is a looooong wait. They have come close few times as well but still managed to fail. Last year was closest I suppose, couple balls off the bars going in and you got yourself a championship. With champions league as well that would have been perfect for them to win it together.

This year however its no longer about if they could win the league or not, since we all know that league is coming back now, the only question remaining is if they could beat the record or not, plus what is going to happen with champions league, will that come back? I mean some leagues are not postponed, they are cancelled, but I don't know if that affects champions league. If it continues that would be even sweeter.

There is a rumor if Chelsea wants to bring Philippe Coutinho for loan with €10 million fees. From ESPN, Barcelona also want to sell this player with €80 million, unfortunately no clubs make an offer with that prices. But, Italian clubs Juventus linked with this players.

Most of the major leagues are going to be back now in June. La Liga and  PL both will start in June 2nd and 3rd week. Serie A is also set to return somewhere in June. Also CL's remaining stages will all be played in August. I think you are bit outdated here.

I'm sure they have been preparing the venue since the time they were announced to hold the final game. Then if they cancel it, it would lead them to get more loss.

Yeah Istanbul as venue for final was concern when they initially rolled out the dates. Glad they gave a thought and are thinking of changing it.

I am not a fan of Ligue 1 either but maybe thought it as another option of betting. PSG are good option to bet and build up the bankroll slowly so kinda bit sad.

That's great news. It will restart with remaining matches from the last round- Manchester City vs Arsenal and Aston Villa vs Sheffield United on 17th June. Two from the big-6 facing right after restart is perfect to resume the league.

Champions league restarting is really not a good idea because we are talking apples and oranges here with the leagues. When you are playing league games you are playing inside your nation, you are still responsible for the country you are in and they are responsible for you, that's it, however when you are going to another nation, you are not playing just some games, you are travelling to another country and coming back, that is much much more risky.

Not saying it won't start, it is already decided I am afraid, which means it will be played for sure, but it doesn't change the fact that champions league is much more scary than the regular leagues. However one thing is for sure, by august we are going to be doing much better with this corona deal unless some second wave starts, and if that happens it could be cancelled anyway.

Since They'll be playing behind closed doors, I think it's safe to say that it shouldn't be a problem regardless of the current pandemic assuming the clubs playing CL adhere to guidelines of each and every country they will be visiting.  Also, We don't really know how the pandemic would be in August.  For now, UEFA governing should continously observe as leagues resume and draft out a plan for UCL. Until that happens, I'd be enjoying the Premier League.

All matches will continue this season including CL and EL. Maybe this will start in August to accelerate within 1 month.
If this cancels it may be a lot of money lost including sponsors who have funded it so that this match will continue in a safe place.

We are waiting for the next update whether this will happen in August because this June we will see the EPL continue again.

If all the leagues (almost all) restarted, especially the big four leagues, then there is no reason for UCL or EL to be cancelled. All games will be played out, with delay, or with different format. It's all about money as you said, and clubs ego themselves too.

The odds for them is pretty low, and the fact that they can't be invincible like Arsenal in 2004 is so funny, especially if we comparing their squad value with the other Ligue 1 participants. I'd rather bet on Monaco or Lyon even though both of them still trying to find back their best shape.

If it's Premier League, there are always many TV channels that want to get the broadcasting deal. As long as the league is back, the money will come for sure. I just heard PL will use FIFA 20 crowd noise in the game, but really, it would be bit weird watching empty stadium with the noises lol.

Actually, in my opinion it's a strange submission because the proposal reaches three times the initial regulation that has been determined previously.

Make a 9 subs for me is acceptable in current condition at least until end of season, after all player get a normal training in the next season, federation can change that rules again. I'm supporting this idea because all football players need more training time after lock down in UK

The article does not say Chelsea wants to be able to make 9 substitutions, they want the number of players on the bench to be increased from 7 to 9.

I actually support the idea, because it would give clubs a lot more space to put kids into match squads. Usually you cannot put a kid on the bench because you need to have a backup goalie, fullback, defender, 2 mids, a winger and a striker. That is 7 senior players, 2 extra spaces would be great because clubs could put under-20 players there and give them game time if they are let's say 3-0 up in 75th minute.
