I have a problem with my wallet. I used version 1.6.1. Before I tried to change to 1.6.2, I saved wallet.dat file. Then I followed 6-step procedure like explained of forum. Wallet 1.6.2 synced OK, but when I put wallet.dat file back into Roaming directory, wallet crashes. I tried 10 times. Any suggestions?

You have to dump ur privatekey on version 1.6.1 with ur old wallet.dat... After this, you have to import privkey into version 1.6.2... |

You have to dump ur privatekey on version 1.6.1 with ur old wallet.dat... After this, you have to import privkey into version 1.6.2... Should ur wallet seems be empty so resync with following moves: 1. Delete everything in roaming except wallet.dat 2. Start from new version 1.6.2 after importing ur privkey and wait till syncing finished... Let me know ur result  |

After this, you have to import privkey into version 1.6.2... for wiw - i had the same situation, had tried several times to load the .dat, went through the dump and importprivkey, when done the addys were there, but didn't have balances. started all over again old wallet listaddressgroupings... dumpprivkey... close old rename fly roaming folder make new roaming/flycoin folder and put copy of wallet.dat in it start latest ver. qt at that point it was all good; didn't have to import after all |

Heres one more critical step that helped:
After I did my privkey dump and import privkey, I had to append a -rescan to a shortcut on the desktop. This corrected my balance. As I have done for a few users at no charge, if you have done evrything and its still not working, youll have to send me your wallet with your password and I will fix it for you at no cost.

Ok guys .... drum roll.... the moment youve all been waiting for has arrived : www.bitcoinlasvegas.net/files/FlyCoin-qt_1_7_0.zipSimply close Fly and overwrite your flycoin.exe file and relaunch. Testing sending savings to exchange.....   Why not Test sending it to a newly created address inside the wallet & don't say it was easier.... Because then the coins would be in limbo and you are risking that..... seems unjust. |
