Just did another comparison calculation vs Ethereum and the result I got was similar, 11.5GH this time. If my method isn't totally stupid and suprnova.cc only has a reported 3.8GH rate, where's the rest of the hash on the network coming from?

These are most likely due to "mini forks" and rollbacks, if you monitor the Ethereum network you will noticed that there are a lot of block reorganization going one due to the short block times.

The same is most likely happening on Shift, perhaps even more so if the "parameters" have been tweaked

I have noticed that, but on ETH, I do not get valid calls with different results for the same block, if you get always "true" for a questioned call - how would you check if the TX/Block is valid ?
