With all due respect, you may need to re-evaluate your search methodology. From the Shift website's "network specifications" and "FAQ" sections:

The current inflation is 1.1 SHIFT per block (block reward). Our blocktime is 27 sec. So what is the supply increase per year?
3600 x 24 x 365 = 31536000 sec. per year. 31536000 / 27 sec. = 1168000 blocks per year. 1168000 x 1.1 SHIFT per block = 1,284,800 SHIFT per year (under the assumption that every block will be produced). However, this only describes inflation in the first year. The reward schema:
1.1 Shift from block 828000
0.9 Shift 1 year later
0.7 Shift 2 years later
0.5 Shift 3 years later
0.3 Shift 4 years later
The block rewards can be changed manually. We’re likely going to introduce dynamic fees (and dynamic block rewards) since this will be necessary for a proper revenue model for the storage nodes. (Lisk is also going to introduce dynamic fees.) So the reward schema will change in the future.

Thus, as is the case with most PoS coins, there is no fixed maximum supply, and inflation will continue at a low level indefinitely, especially since Shift doesn't burn tokens (again from the FAQ):

Shift tokens are not ‘burned’. However, Shift tokens will be ‘locked’ when they’re transferred to the side chain in order to provide or consume services, such as storage services through Phantom. The mechanism of token-locking disincentivizes dumping Shift tokens on the market, while tokens are exchanged for storage with the node owners (therefore not being burned).

Is it just me or can Shift currently not be traded on Bittrex? I cannot access the Shift trading site and in my wallet it says "automated maintenance"?!

It's not only you, the automated maintenance activated like 6 hours ago.Until then Shift can be traded on Livecoin, too.

Hopefully Bittrex will soon enable the wallet and trading.

It's been since yesterday. Thought it would have been cleaned up today. Need more exchanges

Shift is a DPOS (delegate proof of stake) coin.
To stake it you have to be a delegate. You can also earn shift by voting in shift wallet for pools which are delegates sharing some of their coins.

Shift currently has a marketcap of 113 million usd, block currently has a marketcap of 230 million usd. Both will be releasing new technology which they have been working on for a long time. both have a competent team. Both have a lot of potential for growth. My personal favourite is Shift becuase I have followed the team for a year now and I am astonished by their professionality and transparency.

Like Warren Buffet says : invest in value and you can't miss the ball. Shift has real life value and use cases.

This quarter Q1 of 2018 they will be releasing their flagship product called Phantom, which is basically a Dapp SDK tool. spelled out as : a decentralized application standard development kit. Or in common english : a tool for programmers who are fluent in javascript to build and design websites on the new internet called.

By new internet I mean websites hosted on an IPFS cluster. And by IPFS cluster I mean InterPlanetary File System. Basically it is a much more efficient storage system for hosting websites, which relies on a decentralized storage system rather than a centralized storage system like HTTPS.

Shift has built their new website on Phantom and have released their website (as promised) on the 31th of january. Check it out and see for yourself how blazing fast it is as compared to https sites. And the best thing is you don't even have to install anything. It is just merged seamlessly into the old web. Now that is what I call true innovation!

I have just read the article as well. It is great to see two of my personal coins Shift and Skycoin being promoted on the Forbes website. This is only the beginning as a lot more people will invest in Shift once they see the true potential. Shift is a long term buy with long term value, but will increase dramatically in market cap once Phantom is released. As compared tot he market cap of Lisk (3,6 billion) against that of Shift (113 million), it is an absolute bargain!

Great project. I think even now, with a capitalization of 100 million is still a big door open for growth. It is easy to cross the milestone of 1 billion capitalization. In General a long to invest in the project accurately and make a bunch of x's.

If you missed the coinswap when SHIFT changed from ETHs fork (POW) to LISKs fork (DPOS) there is nothing that can be done.
