La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17

Today is ElClassico. It will be played in the afternoon in españa time to make it easier for both americains and asians to watch it. It's expected to achieve 650 million viewer.
Speaking of the match, i personally expect it to be more tactic than spectacular between the two teams. Real Madrid wants to win to get back on la liga title race and Barcelona wants to keep the 8 point difference after ElClassico and why not extend it to 11. I think both teams will play carefully and don't risk to attac with many players as they always do.

Of the two teams I think Barcelona stands a better chance of winning this fixture as it as several inform players but with Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo playing a part in the attack force for Real Madrid they could just prove to be the difference N.B am not trying to be bais here of the two I enjoy Reals game but this afternoon its a whole different ball game, good luck gents.

Clasico la liga is one of the best games in the world because the teams have big stars.
The Real will only win and Barça will be happy with a positive draw from the game.
I expect the Real to win while they play in their staduim and among their fans

My bet for this weekend's games :

Real Madrid Vs Barcelona : the game is expected by all the world, who presents the heine, the love, the show, the beauty, .. all in the same time. In the meantime, no one can deny that the pressure is on RM more than on Barcelona seen the wide gap in the rankings. I can not focus on having fun, but this time I will try ! I will bet with home have more corner.   
Valencia Vs Villarreal : it's a purely tactical match especially with the current form of the two teams, but I think that the host will probably win in the classico. I will bet with home win.

I guess it will end 1-1 or 0-1 Barca so went for double chance I hope Messi scores and becomes the highest scorer of 2017. Till now after 20' the match looks balanced .

As aspected Barcelona had a clear win. And it's getting difficult for the Real Madrid team to qualify for the champions league.

The red card probably put Real to the sword, Suarez was always going to score the way the defence played today, starting with horrible back passes to keeper in the first half.

So Barca are the City of La Liga, unbeaten, but I disagree the league's done. We know how vulnerable Barca can be without their stars up front so an injury or dip in form to Suarez or Messi could be the chance for Real to gain ground. It's an impossible task for Athletico or even Valencia to try and pip them to the championship, but you never know with football - and remember, there's still two games to go til the midway point. 6 points dropped or even 4 can shift that table radically.

I agree you never know with football, especially when we haven’t reached half season yet, but this seems a Barça league because they start to depend only on themselves to win it.

I think it will be interesting to see the fight for second place and champions league positions, but I think it is very unlikely Real Madrid won’t play champions next year.

I was surprised that Barcelona won actually.
With Ronaldo calling himself the best player to play the game with him winning the award last season of Ballon d'Or.
But he did not produce any recognition of this award during the El Clasico. And Messi showed him to that test.
Real Madrid even had a hand ball which allowed him to score a penalty shot to solidify the victory.
Messi managed to become the player to score the most amount of goals this year which is a very high honor for him to keep the hunt for the precious award that Ronaldo received earlier this year.
Next match up between these two teams will be in May next year.

If only you watched the game, it was very interesting in the first half but not with the second half. I also felt after Carvajal got a red card because the game was like ending. Although both have chances, but Barcelona are better today than Real Madrid. I had expected Barcelona to win, but not with that big goal margin.

It is really shocking to see that this same Real Madrid who disgraced Barcelona earlier this season  at the Camp Nou have been disgraced themselves at the Bernabeau. Zidane decision to play Kovacic ahead of Isco is really baffling and am sure it led to the defeat as some analyst may say.

I'm very surprised how situation changed since last El Clasico in August. Remember, Real won Supercopa easily and mostly people expected that they will win La Liga without any problems and it will be very difficult season for Barca after Neymar moved to PSG. Where is these predictions now?
Today in the first half Barca concentrated on defence and it looked that draw is good enough result for catalans. But in the 2nd half they started to attack much more and absolutely dominated. Another terrible match for C.Ronaldo. I'm also surprised why Isco didn't played - it's very strange decision.
It's also worth to mention referee who had a great match - no questionable moments, rare thing in recent years.

Its time Zidane changes his tactical approach in games.
