Roma actually have some good players in their hands. Especially after their latest transfers the team are stronger in especially the attacking line of the team. However the general quality might still not be enough for winning the Serie A championship. They are trailing behind some big teams in the league in terms of the quality. But on one hand, we can say that the quality is not always enough for winning championships in any league. It is the truth that more qualified teams win championships more often.

However we still sometimes see that one of the remaining teams has a great season thanks to a strong bond between the players and a solid team spirit. Who knows maybe it will be Roma's turn next after Napoli win this season. But to do so, I think Roma need to change their game plan first. Mourinho is still going on with old things which isn't changing anything for Roma now.

It depends also on how Mourinho handles the team. we know he has good knowledge and experience in concocting strategy and formation, but sometimes he uses an old strategy that can be read by another coach when the match begins. This is the weakness that must have fixed soon. Mourinho must learn how Pep Guardiola strategizes the different clubs, He uses an on-front defense pressing system or the triangle roaming in Barcelona, but did not use it for Munchen and City, while Mourinho use the same strategy for a different clubs.

Every coach has a different match strategy. Mourinho, Pep or Ancelotti are all great coaches and the best in their respective positions. Their match strategies are completely different. So I would say they should not be compared. Mourinho is experienced enough. But the Roma team is not strong enough. They lack enough talented players. Due to this, their performance is not consistent. If the Roma management had given Mourinho a bigger fund, maybe he would have been able to build the team into a title-winning team.

Napoli is 8 points ahead of Milan. I wouldn't say it's a huge gap. Because in the past we have seen many teams fail to win the title by not being able to maintain consistency even after starting the season so far. Napoli still has many more matches to play. If they can't maintain consistency they won't win the title. If Napoli aims for the Serie A title, they will definitely need to perform better. And consistently play well. If Napoli loses Truck after a long break, they will also lose the top spot in the points table.

Consistency become the problem for many Serie A team last several season, AC Milan success become scudetto last season after their rival have inconsistency performance and finally success become the Serie A winner. I don't think with Napoli achievement and have 8 points left are huge gap with Milan standing in second place, still possibility for Milan or other rival team catch up Napoli standing position.

Napoli have first match after World Cup over against Inter Milan at January 5, have to win in this big match for making Napoli keep exist in first standing position and have gap points with AC Milan on stable position standing.

Eight points is not a huge gap considering the present performance of Napoli. I might not see that team losing to more than two teams this season based on the first half league performance but their current results is proving otherwise. They have been consistent this season and they still have the same quality of player because none of their key players have been rumored to be leaving this season. The transfer speculations surrounding their top striker Victor Osimhen have been debunked by the player and the club.

But their current performance in their friendly games might be a pointer that they might not replicate their past performance. Friendlies might not be a good avenue to predict a teams performance but Napoli's heavy defeat by Lille OSC should be a concern to Luciano Spalletti. Their loss against Villareal is excusable but the heavy loss against LOSC is scary.

@X - ray in a way I’m glad that he didn’t come to Manchester United, because he would have build the team around Ronaldo and that would have been bad for the club and as far as the Juventus links are concerned it’s yet hearsay so I would not pay much attention to this rumour unless he himself confirms this.

Lastly I would not pay too much attention to these friendly results as in these matches player’s often don’t give their best, and when they play in the league I believe that they’ll continue their fine form as seen before the break and they’ll probably win the league title too.

Roma transfer behaviour proven they don't have much money to gets good quality players last summer but Mourinho was clever that he can gets Dybala or Nemanja Matic with free status so this is good movement from Roma and indeed the current squad for Roma is decent to joining for race title but before this season begin Mourinho personally don't have any particular target for this team and why he said that probably Mourinho know Roma is very hard to compete with Milan, Napoli or Juventus for the trophy so that's why Mourinho said too he will attempts bringing Roma to gets the winning results for each weeks but he don't want to think about Serie A title

Now , with Argentina lifting the World Cup , the pressure on Napoli is kinda bigger than before ,right ? Fans are expecting to lift Serie A this year for them but also for Diego and that would be crazy amazing if you think about it that in the same year , Argentina with Messi won the World Cup and Napoli in memory of Diego , won Serie A  . previously Inter will have a warm-up match against 2 teams including Sassuolo. A friendly match after a long break would be good to adjust the game in the squad. this will probably be the first clash of games after the break which is good for us to see.

Friendly matches are not a guarantee that they have really declined, it could be part of their plan by seeing Napoli lose in a friendly match to make their potential opponents underestimate Napoli because they are considered to have experienced a decline. Moreover, I don't think their match brought out all the abilities they had. One of the things that makes them less ambitious about winning matches is because maybe they are careful and don't want their players to get injured in that match.

Napoli still has a good game. currently leads by a large margin of points. Facing Inter Milan is not an easy game for Napoli. but it's a point for Napoli, I'm sure of that. although Inter is very ambitious to get into at least the top 4 of the standings.

I'm not sure Milan will promote him to the Senior Squad next season. Even though he was promoted, I believe he was only a substitute bench player. I remember Paloschi, a young player who is remembered for a first-touch goal after replaced a player on the second half (i forgot the player), but Milan couldn't make him grow.

Bookmakers consider Inter to be the favorite (in my opinion, unreasonably), but even if on paper, for some parameters, Napoli may be weaker than Inter, I don’t understand why the “tasks” of the teams for the game are not taken into account. Inter only needs a win - even a draw will be a continuation of the fall into the middle of the standings. It seems surprising but we should probably be expecting it. No doubt, Napoli has displayed an outstanding performance so far this season, but it is also good to know that throughout the world cup tournament,  so many clubs have remolded their team to a better standard than it was and are also giving their best to have a better result. Therefore one should celebrate victory only at the end of a particular match because as it stands now, there is no big or small team. Every match is a serious competition.
