It would not be smart to think that because a team was good a decade ago, they should still be considered as strong today. Roma did not finish in the top 4 for 7 years now. I think that speaks volumes as to what their standing in Serie A is. It's true that there have been days when they were fighting for the Scudetto, but that is so long ago that I can't remember it.

Napoli did what they can do best, keep control over the game, score a goal at some point and then slowly but surely take it home with superior ball possession, lots of passing back and forth and if it is possible wait for that one final counter attack to finish them off. Roma had 1 shot on target in the whole game and 2 corners. That is not quite the Roma you were talking about.

Revamping slowly is not a thing in professional football. It is not like a club has many years to build something great. I like the competition in the Serie A this season as the top 5 teams continues in their wonderful performances and won their respective games last weekend. I like the energy of Lazio now because i was doubting if they can win Bologna but they did and even won them with comfortable score of 3:0. Though Bologna has been very backwards this season considering how energetic and awesomely the team performed last season but all the same it is what it is and i hope they get back to form soon.

Napoli is also one consistent team in the race for the Serie A title this season, and i like the fact they are not giving up easily, considering the intensity among the top 5 teams such that if they drop points, the teams behind them may take the lead at the top of the table so they're literally not ready to give up the top of the table, hence their continues impressive performance. Roma also have been underperforming greatly and it looks the new coach Claudio Ranieri may not be able to revive the team at this point.
