Oh wow a lot to announce in italy , besides indeed italy is one of the highest number of covid19 cases .. it got me thinking that those covid19 test in serie A could be really manipulated isn't it? I mean since serie A well known as one of corrupted league in the world as well.

If the number of cases in serie A continue to grow , aren't they supposed to suspend the league?(again)

Maybe, if in the next few weeks players are positive increased, of course this will be done by FIGC. If the FIGC doesn't stop it,  I think the Italian government will start taking in action to stopping the league. We have to remember that Italy is a country that has a 10% number of COVID-19 patients dying, I think the decision to stop the league will be made to prevent this from happening again.

I also read the latest news if Diawara As Roma Player was positive Covid-19. Historically he went for friendly matches and the Guinean national team's training camp in Portugal. This increases the number of positive cases of Covid-19 in As Roma to five players. Previously Bruno Peres, Carles Perez, Justin Kluivert, and Antonio Mirante also tested positive for Covid-19.

The best solution for Serie A is to take a break. It helps to quarrantine infected players and team members. After a break for 2 weeks, test again all team members and maybe prolong it up to 4 weeks. After that resume Serie A again. It is not bad in my opinion. Keep the league running like this will be unfair for all teams.

If last season, a few months break did not destroy the leauge, this season will have better ending.

I saw Christiano Ronaldo trending #3 on the bird app (twitter) and got the news he tested positive while on international duty. It's not looking good for Juventus aa their star man would miss the game with Crotone this weekend and probably their champions league group stage opening game too.

The rate at which players are getting the virusin seria A is kinda alarming. We don't see such numbers in other leagues. Till date, we are still waiting for a ruling for the Juventus vs Napoli game that was postponed. I'm also of the opinion of pausing the league for 2 - 3 weeks until the dust settles.

Not true, cases in Italy are less than in other leagues, we are in a situation similar to Germany.

But numbers are irrelevant if we don't know the number of tested cases, here in Italy players are tested every 4 days and we do around 100k tests/day over the population and I don't know the numbers of other Nations.

Ronaldo is also positive and he played against teams such as Spain that could be spread the virus to another league as well.
If Italy wants to keep the Serie A going they need to stop the league for 20 days and then start again. it would be a better measurement because on the other hand we are going to see a longer pause if we see more infections on going.

temporarily stopping the fixtures will only cause future fixtures collisions, I think it's better to replace players with healthy ones so that the match schedule is not interrupted.  but this is what makes me confused, we all know that C Ronaldo is the healthiest player among the others but why did he get infected with covid 19, I better wait for the official announcement from Juve about this news..

I partially agree with you, I think the best way is all players should be re-tested to see if the corona is positive or not without stopping the game and then allow them to play.
But If the condition is very deplorable after re-testing then not only series A but also La Liga and Champion league should be discontinued.

Every league is following the EUFA protocol most likley, they just need to remove useless games like the Nation's league and create the bubble like the NBA otherwise il will hard to complete the season, well that ofcourse depends if we can have a decent vaccine near Xmas.

Not only in the world of sport. We are all potentially infected if we don't follow proper health protocol and follow the rules. In football, retesting has to be done regularly because you always play in different cities. They travel even if only with club, but who would have thought they were all agent who could spread the virus. I think all the current leagues can continue well, because I think all football teams are very good at dealing with infected players and I have never heard of any sad news that has come from a football team so far because of Covid-19.

I think the problem the league is seeing is the financial problem it will cause if the still continue to play matches with empty stadiums, I know it may sound selfish on the team's part but if they don't do these move there is a big chance that these companies will lose money or worst be out of the league for bankruptcy. If their own government allows such actions from the league then we really don't have any choice but just to let them be, for fans who don't want to be affected by the virus you will have the option to stay at home.

The number of infected players is always increasing, I think it is not a good sign to continue the matches. I cannot imagine if most players in Serie A are infected already. It must be harder to handle than trying to avoid more virus spreads. They are sport athletes so they are strong and most of them will have self recoveries. I hope all of inflected players will be fine of course. The problems from public health perspective is to give enough protections for clubs' medical staffs and others. Those people are older and weaker than players and they need to be protected.

Most sports athletes have a healthy body and good antibodies so that they recover faster than other. The league break so far has given all the player a little time off and that is very important because it can be used for quarantine as well as maintaining fitness.

I just found out that Ronaldo was rumored to have Covid. This is a loss for Juventus and bad news for all the fans. I hope he get well soon and is back on the pitch soon.
