There was no decision to change the goal for Juventus Turin. There was a verdict delivered by a court and there was essentially nothing left that Juventus Turin could have effectively done about it. Deciding to change their goals sounds as if they freely accepted some penalty and they decided what to do next, but they weren't left with any choice but to accept the new reality and now Serie A and Coppa Italia are the two competitions that are left. Their midfielders were struggling with injuries before but now they have all are in good condition. Their start to the season was also impressive. They got a really solid win over Udinese by 3-0. But of course I don't want to be confident about the rest of the season already.

Because we have all seen Juventus' problems in the recent times. By only one result we can't have a clear opinion of them. But this season is really important for Allegri. If they can't finish even in top four then Allegri could be likely to get sacked. He has a contract until 2025 but his seat isn't very secure yet.

Even though Juventus did not make the transfer market at the good this season, Allegri succeeded in getting Juventus to get full points in his first match and I saw their ability to perform very well in that match. The midfield and front appeared so solid and quite dominated the game and the attacks they launched. I didn't see Pogba in this game and even if I look at the line-up Pogba wasn't on the injured list but Allegri didn't play him in that game.

There is still great confidence that Allegri can lead Juventus to become one of the Scudetto challengers or at least finish in the top three at the end of the season. Last season when faced with serious injury problems from several of his team he managed to get out of this problem, it's just that they were faced with the problem of deducting points which prevented Allegri from bringing Juventus to finish in the top five.

Juventus voluntarily took on the "additional" penalty of not participating in the Conference League and this was the final point in their deal with UEFA. There will be no further punishment. From the outside, it certainly looks ridiculous because this tournament is not initially interesting for them, but here it came in handy for them, since they "exchanged" their participation in it for closing the issue.

There is news that this will be Massimiliano Allegri last season coaching Juventus, of course this is an event for Allegri to present the Scudetto title for the Bianconeri. The initial victory over Udinese became the capital for a new season in Serie A, after being dropped from European competition Juventus only focused on the Domestic League.

Christian Pulicic played well the whole game and he had a lot to do with some good passes, but some missed chances. Pulisic's performance in this match deserves appreciation even though he did not play full time in his debut match. Pulisic and Giroud both scored and made it their first win for Milan this season.

Bologna, which is playing at home, can basically threaten Milan's defense. Bologna created some very dangerous chances and a few times they came close to scoring. That certainly saw Mike Maignan work a lot more between the sticks and save several times throughout the match. Milan will then host Torino at home on August 27.

That would be overemphasizing the importance of the coach in this respect. In the end it wouldn't be Spalletti winning the game against Frosinone, but the players and since not many positions have changed within the team and not many players left Napoli, I don't expect wild surprises in the Napoli games. Although I think it is never an easy win against a team that got promoted as it is much harder to come up with a reasonable idea of how strong they might be in their first home game. They are motivated and will give Napoli a hard fight that is for sure.

It is obvious that Napoli victory over Frosinone demonstrated their successful start under Rudi Garcia. Despite the relative strength of the opposition, Napoli tenacious play and strong defence are encouraging indicators. Osimhen reliable form works in their favour. Although Napoli may not have been fully tested after the first win, the real test will come when they play tougher teams like Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and AS Roma. These games will determine the strength of the team and Garcia tactical acumen, demonstrating if they can maintain their momentum for a successful title run.

The harder tests are coming that is for sure, but despite winning against Frosinone I thought that they will also have more ball possession than they actually did. Not that it matters when they win the game anyway, but I thought that they'll be a more dominant team. This was quite even between the two teams and there is still potential for Napoli to improve quite a lot.

Keeping a clean sheet in the opening Seria A game this 2023/2024 campaign. Perhaps they faced some punishment for breaching essential FFP rules but if they can bounced back fully and become top contenders for the scudetto, they might as well cover up for their losses in elite competitions this season. It is true that Juventus started the start of Serie A this season with a convincing win, namely 3-0. Behind Juventus' victory was Francesco Magnanelli because in my opinion it was he who changed Allegri's playing style, especially in the way Juventus attacked. Juventus were fortunate to recruit him into Allegri's coaching staff. Apart from that, in terms of squad, Juventus barely experienced any changes compared to last season with their players. In contrast to rival teams who lost their pillar players, Juventus were able to retain their star players such as Bremer, Vlahovic and Chiesa.

What Juventus have to do now is to appear consistent in every match, and play high press coupled with effective attacks. if this can be consistent I'm sure they can win the Juventus Scudetto this season. Because Juventus also play once a week, not playing in the European league either, it should be able to make Juventus more relaxed and develop from a playing point of view so that Juventus players can focus more on winning the Scudetto. Moreover, the season is still long, there is still a lot of time to process and develop.
