The title race in Serie A is continuing at full speed.
Napoli is currently on top with 22 points, followed closely by Inter Milan, Roma, and AC Milan, all with 21 points.
It looks like this season is going to be a very competitive one.
Last night, Milan beat Roma 1–0 at home and rejoined the title race.
If Roma hadn’t lost that match, they would have been in first place, but they couldn’t win.

Every team challenging for the scudetto this season had a tough fixture this past weekend, we saw how Napoli struggled to settle for a draw against Como. It was not an easy game for them and I would say it a match they could have easily lost. For now Napoli still remain top but they need to get back to winning ways next weekend.

AC Milan battled also with Roma and for a sec I thought it was another draw match but at the end Milan was able to get a win. After 2 consecutive draw a win was much needed and they did get it, with pavlovic producing the most important moment in the game.

It good to see the Seria A this challenging, it been long we’ve such competition and it can only get better from here.

This match ended in a tough contest, Roma missed a penalty which may have cost them a point. Roma had a good chance to draw the game but they couldn't take advantage of it, Milan attacked very quickly and took their attacks directly to the box. And they managed to score a goal there, the whole game was very competitive, but I was very worried about the game at the last minute that there was a good chance of a draw. But I saw a lot of mistakes in Roma's performance, their attack was weak and their defense was also weak in this match.


I see it not as a weak attack from Roma, but rather the way Milan players defend, which is actually quite good. Although we could see a few times that Roma players managed to get through, fortunately, their finishing was not good. The match was not disappointing, and now the point tally makes the competition in Serie A more interesting.

Napoli started to lose some points but their recent form is still not that bad in my opinion. Beating Inter home by that score was a really good work for example.

I can't say they are amazing in all big games in the Serie A though considering the Milan loss. But Conte is still keeping things under control for now. However this season is likely to be even more difficult for him as there are more teams in the title race.

Milan were able to secure the win even though they did so with great difficulty. Because AS Roma who came as a guest team also provided fierce resistance, even at the end of the match they tried to continuously press Ac Milan, but unfortunately they failed to create goals.
Ac Milan can survive well so that the only goal they create makes them lock in victory. In a big match like this, it's not easy when they only have a one-goal lead. Because the opponent can reply at any time and that is a common thing that happens at the end of the match.

There is no doubt that Napoli's overall performance is quite strong. The  bonding between the players is very strong. So they are still at the top of the table. managed to keep themselves occupied. The performance  of the forward players is a little weak. If napoli had an experienced striker in the attack, we would have seen  a better performance than napoli without a doubt.

Inter milan is second in the points  table. Only 1 point behind Napoli. The team made an excellent  comeback. If napoli cannot sustain their performance  now and fail to continue their  winning streak, they will lose the top spot in the table. Napoli must maintain their strong performance, having just dropped three points after their draw against Como. Considering Napoli's depth, they certainly aren't as strong without Lukaku. Lukaku has been their goal machine, so his absence leaves a gap in their attack.

On the other hand, two Milan are looking to overtake Napoli in the standings. If Napoli loses points or is held to a draw in their next match, first place will be taken by another team next week. With the increasingly exciting competition, we're certainly more excited to watch every match between the big teams competing for the top spot.

A superb derby last night! I was sure it would be a boring match, but I gave it a try and wasn’t disappointed. Now, seeing how thin Milan’s bench is, I understand why they had a defensive approach. They played in bursts so they wouldn’t get too tired, as none of the substitutes at the moment are a good option for Milan. Milan dominated at the start of the second half when they were still fresh, then fell back a little to protect their lead — and managed to do just that. Great game for them.

It was hell of a game indeed! I normally don't like games ending with a poor score like 1-0.    But this was way more than that. 37 shots in total in the game.

Milan could have definitely scored more goals. They found many big opportunities for it but wasted nearly all of them.

Roma couldn't score despite having 1.95 xG. And man the title competition is incredible now!

Probably by next year there may be some twist and turns on the table, only then can you tell who will really clinch the title. Napoli's early lead is quite healthy for them as defending champions but they would have to work extra hard by next year when the competition becomes a bit more severe.

Perhaps the European competition that they all are participating in might also have its own effect because some teams will be chasing external glory in either the UCL or the Europa league and this can also be a determining factor to who may be on top or the direction to where the trophy may be headed.

One point separates the fourth and first club in the table, while we all can say this is just the starting of the season and that the real contenders will be soon separated with the pretenders while I don’t argue this I will say I have seen some level of competitiveness in the Seria A, we don’t usually have one team running away with the league very early any more, it is usually heavily contested this days so as the places for the qualification to the European competitions. So this is most definitely going to be yet another competitive season with two or more clubs competing for the league as far as the end of the season.

I said that in one of my earlier posts. The quality of the league has dropped, and so has the pace, but the league has never been more interesting to follow. It used to be mostly Juventus dominating for the past ten years or so, while Napoli and the other clubs would usually fight for the remaining spots on the table. Napoli has fallen out of rhythm, and the worst part is that they have a lot of injured players. Lukaku and De Bruyne are now out for two months, which affects Conte’s plans a lot. Still, Napoli is holding up quite well, although i think there are teams with more quality. At this point, Napoli is mostly relying on experience.

Yes, it's clear that Napoli must maintain their current form. If they don't, I believe their position at the top is very vulnerable. Napoli currently only has a one-point gap over second-placed Inter. So, with that in mind, I believe Napoli must do everything they can to improve their attack, even without Lukaku. Lukaku will be out of action for the next few matches due to a hamstring injury. According to available data, Lukaku is expected to recover from his injury by mid-December. These days is really hard to see an Italian club battling it out to win the UCL (even if they can't win it) and still becomes champions by winning the scudetto, is hard and in this time and era is also hard to see a team who won the league title in the previous season is doing well in this current season both in the league and champions league. Inter tried but couldn't withstand the pressure as of last campaign and Napoli are struggling to maintain a better standard in the champions league and in the league they are still facing same difficulties to stay as league leaders especially now that injuries are coming to hunt their key players, can Napoli get a strong grip on the title this time around now that they are also have a stronger challenge both in the CL and Serie A? You know last time they weren't in the champions league and they won the league title,  can they win the league title this time around?
