Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A)

Lazio is one of the teams I don't want to watch in the Italian League. I had to watch yesterday because there weren't many matches.
It was another boring match. Lazio won 2-0, but their opponent, Cagliari, was a very weak team and won easily.
Cagliari wasn't productive at all. They created a few chances, but they didn't even have shots that would challenge the goalkeeper.
Lazio has 3 wins and 3 draws in their last 6 matches.
They face Inter Milan this weekend.
Since it's Inter, I'm planning on watching that match, but if I find an alternative match at the same time, I won't.
Because Lazio plays such boring football.

I like the fact that Serie A season is also gradually shaping up to be one of the tightest looking at the gap between the top four clubs and how every match they play against themselves and other smaller clubs feels like it could change the table completely. Napoli still looks like they are slightly more balanced than others but you can tell Inter and Roma are also not far behind in terms of the intensity the clubs are putting and I like how Chivu work with Inter is really beginning to show the team looks sharper. Milan win over Roma was massive not just for points but for confidence. The goal from Pavlovic was due to their determination and that Maignan penalty save kept Milan performance more alive. When I look at Zielinski goal against Verona I like to refer to it as a goal which was scored with class and technique. With Napoli heading to Bologna it will be interesting to see if they can keep their narrow lead or if the pack catches up again.

Napoli must maintain their strong performance, having just dropped three points after their draw against Como. Considering Napoli's depth, they certainly aren't as strong without Lukaku. Lukaku has been their goal machine, so his absence leaves a gap in their attack.

On the other hand, two Milan are looking to overtake Napoli in the standings. If Napoli loses points or is held to a draw in their next match, first place will be taken by another team next week. With the increasingly exciting competition, we're certainly more excited to watch every match between the big teams competing for the top spot.

However, Napoli looks set to face a tough match next week. They'll be visiting Bologna. And we know facing Bologna won't be easy at all.

Meanwhile, AC Milan is fortunate enough to have an easier opponent next week, facing Parma. Roma will also face Udinese. However, Inter Milan seems to be facing the same fate as Napoli, facing a tough opponent. They'll face Lazio in their next match. However, as the home side, Inter Milan will likely be able to win the match comfortably.

AC Milan's victory over Roma was indeed impressive, as AC Milan's goalkeeper and defense were impressive, holding off numerous Roma attacks. However, I don't see that as the only factor. Roma's goal scoring performance this season is questionable. Of all the top teams, Roma has scored the fewest goals, with only 10 goals in 10 matches played. That's quite poor.

Italian clubs in the last ten years have very big problems from their youth player academies, to finance so that they have been no longer be able to compete with big clubs from other leagues on the transfer market for buying best star players globally.

It affects the general quality of Serie A and their clubs are less competitive than other big clubs around Europe. In the last four seasons, Italian clubs gained considerable success in Europe but the last season shown their decline. It's very unsure that whether they will be able to get success back in this season as playing well, going far in European competitions can help their clubs improving their finance, then quality.

It's been a long time since we've seen such a competitive Serie A.

I must say that it’s been a very competitive season in the Seria A seaon, and I must admit it’s been a very long time I see teams this competitive in a league title, not even only the Seria A, but also the big leagues in Europe, like the Premier League, Spanish League, Bundesliga, French League, I have not seen this kind of competition before now and when I started watching European football, that you can find 4-5 teams chasing a title, I must say that is an added boost to the Italian League and that will make me to keep watching how the Scudetto title is going to work out for everyone, whichever team that wins the Scudetto title must deserve to win it by fighting very hard to win the Scudetto title.

I said that in one of my earlier posts. The quality of the league has dropped, and so has the pace, but the league has never been more interesting to follow. It used to be mostly Juventus dominating for the past ten years or so, while Napoli and the other clubs would usually fight for the remaining spots on the table. Napoli has fallen out of rhythm, and the worst part is that they have a lot of injured players. Lukaku and De Bruyne are now out for two months, which affects Conte’s plans a lot. Still, Napoli is holding up quite well, although i think there are teams with more quality. At this point, Napoli is mostly relying on experience.

Yes, unfortunately, the competition in Serie A appeared not because the number of top teams increased, but because the top teams lost their positions. The title race is actually more interesting than ever on paper, but when it comes to watching the games, I'm out  This round was +- good, 22 goals were scored, but if you remember the recent round where 11 goals were scored (there were 4 goalless draws in the round), then watching this was sheer torture. I love when a league is like this when it comes to competition, serie A League will continue being interesting because there are many strong team fighting and struggling to lift the league title and there gap in the table is not too much making it more interesting, at this point it will be very difficult for you to predict who will win the league title because the competition is very high and this teams are very much inform.

Roma performed a wonderful game against Milan because they dominated the possessions throughout the match. Milan were lucky to defend their first half goal until the last minute. but honestly I'm more impressed by Mike Maignan, he made wonderful saves that prevented Milan from losing three points. Based on the nature of the game Roma outperformed Milan but Milan was lucky to take the victory.

They have played their 10th matches, and the table looks competitive and interesting. I like it when there's this kind of challenge in a league because no one is sure of the team that will come out on top in the end, and apart from these four teams you mentioned, there are teams that followed with a good point that have a chance of topping the table.

The Italian league is really shaping up, it’s nice to see the old folks coming back to take their places in the Italian league, juventus have been the team to beat in the Italian serie a in recent years, they really dominated that league for years winning the title multiple times in a row and Is quite surprising to see that they’re no where near the top 4 currently in the league table. Glad to see rivals like Inter Milan and Ac Milan In the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively with same points, but just a goal difference. The season is still long to conclude who Will come out on top and considering the competition now one can’t really predict who will eventually win the league, let’s watch and see how it unfolds.

Yes, it is also a surprise to me that Juve has been without a title in the Italian championship for so long, after a very long period of dominance, when they were winning the championship titles in series. Lately, they have been changing coaches frequently (they recently fired coach Tudor), and it is obvious that the club lacks long-term stability and vision. In my opinion, they should bring back Massimiliano Allegri as soon as possible instead of constantly experimenting every season with new coaches and concepts.

Last season was a competition between Inter and Napoli while this season about four teams are seriously in competition for the title.

AC Milan had the best chances, Fofana who had the best opportunity missed all, lots of pressure and regret seeing Roma given a penalty and relieve after the keeper made the safe.

yes the level is no longer what it once was and we all know this, clearly we always try, to do well with what we have.
but it must be said that not even the other leagues ,are like they used to be. i also see the league and it doesn't seem to me that there is all this spectacle like there used to be.

Indeed it has become very interesting cause the top contenders have increased thereby making it tough to predict who would likely win the scudetto currently anyways teams like Napoli, Inter and AC Milan respectively are still favourites in my list, however Roma has suddenly become competitive so I won't overlook them cause I see lots of potential in their squad this season, they've impressed me more better than I thought Juventus would so I'll watch then closely to see how they'll manage in their next 5 matches before I decide to include them in my options for top contenders for the scudetto this season.
