I'm still surprised at Fiorentina sitting comfortably at the relegation zone without making a move to get out of that position, these guys should be among those struggling to finish in the top 5 but they lost that form they showed towards the end of last season and now the only thing they do best is drop point like is nothing. All clubs are not the same, Spurs and UTD were in the final not because they waited to be given a free passage but they got there because of how hard they fought knowing very well that getting to the finals and winning the trophy will grant them an opportunity to play European competition the following season but we can't say same thing about Fiorentina because they haven't been positive in their league and their games outside the Serie A doesn't show that they're getting it right and they lost to Mainz 2-1, so they should try hard, that position isn't good for them.

No surprises, they need to do a good soul-searching and decide what's best for their future. They're playing with all their credibility as a team and as a club here. If they can't climb back up from that position in the league table, they deserve Serie B. There's nothing they can do.

10 games without a win and only four points is a dismal run, especially for a team as big as Fiorentina, This is truly an unexpected turn of events for them this season.

Well i agree with you partially the last season Fiorentina was always at the gates of the top 5 at least, so being now into relegation is a complete failure for a team this big, i know this last season werent the mighty Batistuta era or even the Mutu-Gilardino one with Cesare Prandelli as a coach.
But they werent this bad, and nobody can expect them performing this bad.

Do they really have the stronger squad? Because with my own observation I don't see them in such position, yes they might be winning games but that doesn't guarantee them having the stronger squad, to me I think Napoli is in better position for that, Inter Milan when facing a tough teams they don't actually show workings they always disappoint , so to me I don't really see them to have the stronger team, failed last season even with this squad and more, they couldn't win the Italian Seria A title nor the UEFA Champions League, but Manny believe they're the stronger squad, it's alright Everyman is entitled to his or her own opinion.
