I can't remember the last time AS Roma performed the way they are currently performing in the Serie A this season, and I must say I am happy as you are even though I am not a fan of AS Roma. It seems AS Roma's frontline is weak. So AS Roma management needs to sign a good striker for AS Roma when the January transfer window opens so that they can be able to sustain their good performance, and even though they didn't win the Scudetto, they can secure a Champions League spot.

If I'm not mistaken, Roma's last consistent performance and successful Scudetto victory was in 2000–01. They also managed to reach the Europa Conference League in 2022. After that, Roma's performance has been inconsistent, and they've struggled to reach the top five in the standings. Considering the number of goals conceded and scored, they're almost the same, which means the striker and defense positions need to be evaluated so Roma can be more solid and strong, because perhaps this season will be their best for repeating the success of 2000–01. However, if there is no player support as desired by the coach, it will be difficult to maintain the second position in the standings because entering the second half of the season they could lose their consistent form of play.

He decided to leave Atalanta last summer and joined AS Roma and we have witnessed how Atalanta struggled in this season and how AS Roma impressively stand at the second position. These opposite performances and ranks of AS Roma and Atalanta shows the value and great contributions of Gasperini as a head coach.

With 11 matches so far, it is about less than one-third of season and Gasperini has many things to work hard with AS Roma for achieving a high position in Serie A at the ending, but I believe that he will be able to succeed with this club.

Truly Roman has experienced some really nice changes that has placed them in a very good position on the table and it is quite fair and okay to want to consider them title contenders at this time but some how I do not know if Roma has really gotten passed the challenge of consistency as that has been on of the biggest challenge they have had in the past seasons, they try to put up really good performances often but struggle to staying consistent enough. Although I am.very optimistic about their success this season.

Ademola Lookman was rumored to be leaving Atalanta. But after Atalanta changed their manager, they decided not to let Lookman go. They could turn over a new leaf with the new manager. Galatasaray offered 9 million Euro per year to sign him, but it doesn't make much difference since Atalanta won't sell him. Besides, after spending so much money this season, Galatasaray doesn't have the financial capacity to pay a 40 million Euro transfer fee and then 9 million Euro per year for a player.

Ademola Lookman is one of Atalanta's key players, and I believe Raffaele Palladino, the new coach, knows he's key to reviving Atalanta's currently slumping form.
Last season, he made a significant contribution to helping Atalanta secure a top three finish.
The decision to cancel the sale is one of the best news for the squad. If the new coach can provide the right guidance, Lookman will undoubtedly be eager to score more goals and help Atalanta return to their best position.

They are level on points with Inter Milan, who currently sit in first place. Seriously, Gasperini is at a time and place where it's going to be something much harder and bigger, I understand how things are looking and that is why I think it's clear that we are going to end up with a great result one way or another for Roma.

While I understand that winning the title may not be that much of a possibility, they finished 5th last season after a terrible start, and Ranieri came out of retirement just to make them fifth place. So right now, they are at a place where they had to let Ranieri go because that dude is retired and only came for a short period to help them out, they could have hired someone terrible that took them back, but instead found someone better. So even a fourth place is improvement for them.

The serie A this season is kinda though and almost all the big teams are in good form but I can't actually place AS Roma for that title chase because they lack one thing that every champion team is supposed to have and that is consistency, if they are ready to challenge for the scudetto then they will need to work on winning consistently which something teams like AC Milan and inter Milan are growing right now although Napoli too aren't all that stable so can't say much for them.

To fight for the Scudetto trophy in the first season for Gasperini is clearly not easy even though he is a coach who already knows the ins and outs of Serie A like what but adaptation is clearly important only with those who can still maintain consistency well even when their points with the top standings are the same it has been something good for him.

Becoming the Scudetto this season is difficult especially since we know that Serie A sometimes always presents a good competition and as a benchmark we can see how the competition last season even Napoli had to do the last match before they were confirmed to be able to become the Scudetto in the 2024/25 season.
So for now Roma's chance is clearly still very much there but Gasperini must still be able to maintain his consistency if indeed his hope is the Scudetto competition this season and I am quite sure for this season Roma's position will be better at the end of the season when compared to last season.
