You are right to be scared, even Atalanta fans, players, staffs and owners are scared already that they got drawn against Bayern Munich. I strongly believe that this is the end of Atalanta in this edition. There are clubs that don't usually exit the champions league in the round of 16 and Bayern Munich happens to be among the few elites club that falls under that category. Atalanta has done really well by getting to this stage. When the champions league table was drawn, I never expected Atlanta to be the last Man standing in all of Serial clubs that qualified for the group stages. So if they exist in the next round, they will bow out honourably.

Atalanta is a very special club as they have a very good scout team for finding young, cheap and potential players to buy, grow them up, use them for the club success in some seasons before selling them to other big clubs and get financial profit back. They have done that not only once, twice but many times and let's see how they are the only representative club of Serie A in UEFA Champions League in the round of 16.

It's a very unlucky destiny to meet Bayern Munich, one of strongest and most successful clubs in Champions League in round of 16, but Atalanta will enjoy their matches with this giant. They won't play these matches with fear as it's not how Atalanta have grown up in last one decade, and Bayern Munich even are much stronger than Atalanta, must be very careful with this Italian opponent.

Atalanta qualifying is a miracle...I'm happy, but that doesn't change the fact that Italian football is in crisis, a truly worrying situation. Now Serie A feels miles off the elite level. The fall has been brutal. Historical teams are disappearing. A national team that is laughable due to a lack of local talent, they failed in youth development, and the result of that is failing to qualify for two straight World Cups. A rotten system unable to react. Immediate administration or the ultimate collapse of Italian football.

Yes,, a situation like this is clearly something that needs to be addressed by Serie A. How can teams that were once highly respected now have no influence whatsoever and perform so poorly at the international level? Currently, only Atalanta has made it to the round of 16, while big teams like Juventus, Inter, and Napoli, who are currently at the top of the Serie A standings, have all failed. So, this is clearly quite embarrassing in my opinion,, and as you said, Serie A can no longer be considered an elite league.

Because its teams don't have good competitiveness at this time. Furthermore,, talking about Italy's failure to qualify for the World Cup again is clearly not a good thing. Because Italy has always participated in the World Cup since the past. Therefore, seeing Italy fail to qualify for the World Cup again is clearly disappointing, in my opinion. So, with this, it is clear that Italy must be able to make its football players great again like before.

I think that is what Milan can and should do for this season. They need to finish the season well, even if it?s without a trophy. Next season will be a different situation that will demand an improvement in their performance to be able to compete better with teams that are also obviously making updates. 
I think Milan can still maintain a top 4 position in the standings. But seeing Napoli and Roma so close, Milan will have to work hard.

Please don't bring bad luck, after two years of hell we've had we're already seeing a little bit of light, it seems like a miracle to me.
Better this way than the way we were before, a useless and anonymous game.

Then Inter really disappointed me, i didn't think they would lose to that semi-unknown team, what a shame.

Inter is a total disappointment, it was for all Inter fans who witnessed something terrible, never happened before, losing like that and also being humiliated by a team that is half as good as you is always an embarrassing thing, but they must also take it as a lesson to do better next time

losing to bodo Glimt in both the first and second leg was really disappointing, there's a lot going wrong with inter milan at the moment. And I guess they underestimated bodo. perhaps they would be able to use this match as a way to make up for their losses. genoa isn't a feam that's supposed to be a problem for them but at this point I don't even trust inter enough to place a bet on them to win.

Before commenting on the fact that Inter Milan is not doing well in the Italian league, I think you should have looked at the points table because I can clearly see that Inter Milan is currently at the top of the table with the highest number of points and Inter Milan's closest rival is AC Milan who are in second place in the points table and the gap between AC Milan and Inter Milan is 10 points. Yes, all the teams you mentioned except Inter Milan are not performing well but this season it is certain that Inter Milan will win the league title.

I never understood teams who did terrible on their own leagues and then do great on UEFA competitions. Like last year Tottenham Spurs did horrible at league and yet won the Europa, that makes no sense at all to me. Same goes for Atalanta this season, they are not doing great at Serie A this season, they are seventh and not looking good, I would say they "can" get better if they go on a winning streak, but it's really not looking likely.

And yet the same team is doing wonderful at UCL for some reason, it is not like just pure luck neither, they are playing amazingly, if Atalanta played at the league the way they play at UCL then today they would be at least top four, if not better, they are literally the only Italian club left.

Their last two matches ended in draws with Milan and a 0-2 win over Juventus, so Como has a good chance of continuing this form. Even if they have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League, they must at least minimize their losses in their remaining matches. Inter's historical result against Genoa has never been easy. It's always a tough fixture for sure. Yet, it can't be an excuse for Inter to mis this very important points. Especially when they have to put heavy pressure on milan, then make them lose more points. So it can help them get closer to a possible scudetto.
Mine have optimism to see they win this game. yeah it won't be by a huge score, but just one nil win is enough. The only thing they must be doing not to give Thuram and Barella chance to start.

Thuram and Barella have been so awful. Starting them can result in missing winning points for Inter. Hopefully, Chivu comes with a proper composition that let his team without those two guys. A win at home should be easil secured by them. If they won't do that, ready to blame them.

Atalanta haven't been able to do anything significant in the Italian league but we still think that this team has a great team spirit, which led them to reach the round of 16 in the UCL in the 2025-26 season. However, the only reason for this team's concern is Bayern Munich because this team has a very high level of experience. To my knowledge, this German league club has won the UCL trophy a total of six times therefore, it can be said that they are one of the most successful clubs in Europe.

In fact, Atlanta's best achievement is reaching the round of 16 but even if they beat Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League play-offs, they will not be able to easily reach victory against Bayern Munich in the upcoming matches.

Anyways today Napoli and Inter are going to play their matches. Technically they both have easy matches to play. Verona will relegate and Genoa are also having a poor season.

I don't expect a point loss from the favourites. But if one of them do then it would be Napoli...

This season, Inter's dominance is extraordinary, Inter is able to create a 10-point gap with second-placed AC Milan. In fact, Milan seems to be experiencing a decline in team performance. Inter Milan lost rhythm. I don't know why this happened. Inter Milan is strong this season too. But they were eliminated from the Champions League playoffs. It's sad.
But at the same time I wouldn't say it's been too bad for Inter Milan. Inter Milan focused on the Champions League last season. They also managed to qualify for the finals of the Champions League. But at the end of the season they could not win the champions league and serie a. They are out of the Champions League this season, now they can give full attention to serie a. I have no doubt that Inter Milan will be champions of serie A this season.

I mean don't get me wrong you are of course doing better and there is no doubt about that. But you are aware that you are second place with ten points gap right? .

I mean Milan isn't doing any better than expected, just because there were few bad seasons doesn't change the fact that Milan is one of the biggest teams in all of Italy and has been like that for many years and that equals to making money as well due to having a lot of fans and they should be doing a better job for them.

Como got a very convincing win today. And there is a really good opportunity for them to finish this week at the 5th position! The reason why is that there is a Roma - Juventus game tomorrow...

Honestly I don't expect Juventus to win this one. They are in no position to be trusted with their recent performances.    I even think Roma can win and 2.65 looks great for that. Don't forget how Juventus lost to Como home last week.

Como's performance today was quite impressive, their attacks were good and their defense was also solid, their improvement thi season is noticeable compared to last season. Como has been able to win some big teams in the Italian league this season and it's a surprise to me. Scoring multiple goals against lecce wasn't expected, I was thinking the game would end up as 1:0 but they played above my expectations.

I didn't expect a 1-0 victory from Como because they're strong this season and have proven that several times in their clash with big teams. All the three goals were scored in the first half before Lecce got a consolation goal still in the first half. Lecce woke up from their slumber in the second half and they deprived Como from scoring anymore goals. Como is currently on the 5th position, it's possible for them to finish on top four.
