AC Milan's failure was a breakthrough for Como, and it is a good feeling to see that Como made it to the UCL because they almost lost hope after they faced some challenges during few weeks to the end of the season. Again this is football and in the game of football other teams rise as a result of the falling of other teams. Como was good maintaining a high level of competition that was why they were able to get to this position.


We should not just write off Como going into the champions League come next season. Because their qualifications into the champions League was not just a fluck but was due to hard work and determination.

One thing about replacement of a coach is that it has to be done carefully, the management has to be sure that the manager is actually the problem of the team before they can look for his replacement but the problem is how will they confirm that, we all know how silly players can be if they are not having a healthy relationship with the manager, many football club has experienced this in the past, last season I didnt pay much attention in the Italian serie A but I don't miss to check the league score line when the matches are on or when they are done playing, AC messed up big time last season, however, let me stand on what you said, we hope to see them do better next season.

Yes, it was a very sad ending for Milan as they failed to qualify for UCL in consecutive seasons. Initially Milan were predicted to compete with Inter and Napoli because they were solely focused on the domestic league. While Milan looked very good at the start of the season their performance became increasingly chaotic leading to a loss of form. Instead of competing with Inter for the trophy they had to fight for a UCL spot culminating in their final match failing to win at home.

Allegri failed to maintain their top four position after being held to a comeback by Cagliari in their own stadium and in front of their home fans. This was certainly disappointing and the points dropped in the final match allowed Como to exploit their position. Now Milan must settle for Europa League football next season.

This is the second year the Italian giants have failed to qualify for the Champions League. After sacking Allegri Milan management also needs to make major improvements to face the next season so they can improve and become a team that is respected again in Serie A.

Unfortunately they did not give Allegri the opportunity to develop Milan and or correct mistakes in the season that has ended, I feel that the sacking was caused by management anger, because Allegri could not secure a place to the UCL, but the fact is clearly in Allegri hands Milan returned to playing quite well and had challenged Inter, albeit with makeshift players, before finally slumping at the end of the season. Now they have to get the right coach and also invest in the right players so that next season they can be expected.

Nico Paz may not be joining Real Madrid because, as far as i know he wants to stay with the Italian club for another season. Indeed we can see that this player intends to stay in Como for the upcoming UEFA Champions League season because this player has worked hard to take this team to the best competition in Europe. Also you should note that Real Madrid are already trying to buy a midfielder and they want to take that player from Manchester City, if they can sign Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, then I think they will give Nico Paz another season at Italian club Como.

Which is how it pans out whenever smaller teams play a great season and for their possibilities, the season was great. They have one convincing reason for their players to stay though and that is to be able to play the Champions League with a smaller club against big teams. Every now and then players decide to take on that challenge rather than leaving the club and perhaps end up on the bench. It depends how old the players are and whether spending one more year at Como is not a problem for them. Too many of those younger, rising stars decide to leave mediocre clubs too early I think, but it is understandable of course when Real Madrid or any of the others reaches out. Yet as I said, the bench is a real risk while if they stay at Como, most of them know whether they got a spot in the first eleven or not. The risk to misjudge that is much lower.

Como did a great job and it should not be forgotten whom they left behind in the table. Milan, Juventus, Atalanta, Bologna and Lazio and I think that says quite a lot about them. They are not among the best of the best, but I think they can be quite the challenge when they play their home games in the Champions League.

From what I read on Fabrizio Romano's Twitter, Rúben Amorim is a strong candidate to take over as Milan's coach, as can be seen in this post by Fabrizio Romano. It would be a good signing because he has more time and could organize Milan well. Hiring coaches who have previously coached Milan and who came from unsuccessful Serie A teams wouldn't be a good move. Right now, Milan needs a new coach in Serie A, someone who can build a strong, competitive team that fights for the title, and I think Rúben Amorim would be a good option at this moment.
