Common problem for both clubs is that there is a lack of steadiness in the leadership and management of club, which results in ups and downs of field. This year slide really hurt Milan, which suffered a poor ending to good start last season. This type of mid season slump isnt necessarily bad luck example, it also reflects bench strength issues.

Roma and Como qualification ahead of these two giants says much about current situation of Italian football. Traditional battling for first place is being challenged and both Milan and Juve have looked like they are not yet ready for a return to the top spots unless they make major changes this summer.

Currently, Napoli is coached by Allegri and he has also stated that he greatly admires Lukaku. It's certainly predictable that Lukaku will be part of Allegri project to compete for trophies. Last season Lukaku didn't get much playing time under Conte due to injury but now that he's back, I think he'll be a key part of Napoli squad next season.

His performance in Belgium also caused quite a stir against Egypt. While he didn't score, he was still a key figure, proving he can still make a difference by being involved in the attack that led to the opponent's own goal that ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw. After recovering from his injury, Lukaku isn't 100%, which is clear, but in the penalty box he remains a prominent figure and a decisive factor. Under Allegri, I think Lukaku will be the difference maker for Napoli next season.

Napoli coached by Allegri perhaps admire Lukaku a lot but Antonio Conte will do everything to take him away, this is certain, there is not the slightest doubt that he will stay at Napoli, he has always done so and will continue to follow Antonio Conte in another adventure if he calls him, of course always if he calls him and if Adl makes him go.
So far, Conte hasn't been clear about which team he will coach. So, I think Lukaku will stay at Napoli, which will be an advantage for Allegri to sharpen Napoli attack after Lukaku missed most of the season due to injury. Conte decision to leave Napoli came as a surprise to everyone, as he arrived just a year after delivering the Scudetto to Napoli and the season before his departure wasn't particularly bad, as he managed to finish top of Serie A.

Many people speculate that Conte's departure from Napoli is more than just a simple coaching change. Many are starting to associate the move with the possibility of him taking over as coach of the Italian national team, especially given the team's poor form having already missed three World Cups.

I don’t think this is an issue at the moment; Antonio Conte is still without a team to manage, but even if he had one, I don’t think he’d continue to pursue Romelu Lukaku – he’s getting on a bit and the injuries are piling up. Unfortunately, as a player, he’s starting to go into the twilight of his career.

I agree with this. He is 33 years old and this is an age when many either end their careers or move on to competitions for older people like MLS. And in my opinion, in Lukaku's case, physical parameters mean a lot - if small, dry footballers can play longer in terms of age, then big players like Lukaku finish much faster. Right now, he is definitely not the kind of player anyone would be hunting for, and if we talk about top clubs, they will look for a replacement for him, since his prospects are obvious.
There are some clubs that prefer old players that still have strength to do what the young players can do, because what the management is after is performance to help the club to achieve what they want from the tournament. There are some coach who don't believe in old players strength no matter the information they hear from different people, because they want players that are young in case they want to sell them out it will still bring them big amount of money.

I know that lukaku is experiencing old age in the football career, and it will make many clubs to use that age not to show real interest to sign him, because when the club will be planning to sign him, it will make other clubs to reject him because of the age.

Milan and Juventus are two teams that are no longer a point of reference in the Italian championship, this is certain, but it must also be understood that Milan has suffered a lot in recent years, more than Juventus and that a return is always difficult, but they also won a championship so it's not really something to throw away.
The setback of Juventus is even more disturbing than that of Milan.  It is of recent we got to notice  the poor performance and set backs with Milan, but for Juventus,  it has been over some seasons now and still,  it does not look like they will be getting any better on it, they literally became so inconsistent that you have no idea what to expect of them at almost any time. Juventus has won before and that is of past glory,  we are looking into the recent the much they will be able to achieve.

Amorim unsuccessfulness at Man Utd was because he continued to apply the 3-4-3 formation, even though it didn't work, see when the formation was returned to 4 tubs by Carrick, Man Utd was much better, right? maybe at Milan the formation will work, because Milan in the past has achieved success with 3 defenders and the closest when handled by Conceição. But of course it must be supported by bringing in new players.
This depends on the players too in my opinion, because if the players can indeed be arranged in a formation like that and they understand their duties well it will be very useful, and don't forget that there is strategic flexibility in a shadow formation when attacking and defending, the rotation of movements in the formation must be understood and it failed to be implemented at Manchester United, it could be the same at Milan even though they were successful before, but the players are now different, but it will be interesting if Amorim can really implement it at Milan.

The Italian Seria A should be ready for Ruben Amorim because he has come to dominate in the League.

With what I'm seeing and reading, tye management of AC Milan has been a long-term fan of the work Ruben Amorim has done over the years most especially during his time with Sporting Lisbon. They feel thry can recreate history with him again not just dominate in the league but also attempt to win a Champions league competition in the long run.

I won't be surprised though if I see that happening. They just need to sign the right players and nurture them up well. Long time since we saw an Italian club win the Champions League competition.

I'm not sure about that dominance, Amorim was successful with Sporting CP, but that doesn't mean he will also be successful at AC Milan. Look at what he left behind at Manchester United, isn't that just a mess?

I don't mean to be distrustful of him, as he hasn't even made his AC Milan debut yet. I mean, let's not over-glorify him. He has a lot of work to do before we can make a good or bad judgement.

To say that Amorim is a good manager, I'm still not sure about that after seeing what he did at Man United yesterday.. so to say that we need to see how he can become AC Milan coach next season, then we can say that whether he is a good coach or not. but regarding Curtis Jones, it is a very good choice for AC Milan because they need the best midfielder and Curtis Jones can fill that position to help AC Milan's central side which is still lacking. so AC Milan needs to make this negotiation process a success, especially since Liverpool don't look at him as their key player for next season, they should be able to negotiate smoothly with Liverpool.
I think it will be very injustice to say that Ruben Amorim is not a good coach or he is not a reliable coach as well. I think everyone has the chance of mistake and have this chance always and anywhere because no one can be perfect. This is true that he was failed to make Manchester United at their best but he signs very good and quality player which are currently working in Manchester United and the team is enjoying their best. But we cannot say that Amorim is not able to do well after having a bad experience and i think it maybe felt by the coach as well. And now he will try his best at this team to bring the best results so that he can remove the tag from himself which taken place after not having a successful journey at Manchester United. And i personally believe that he work greatly this time to bring the best results in the team.

It will never be easy for Ruben Amorim to dominate Serie A. Serie A is different from the Portuguese league; let get that clear. From what we have seen from Amorim at Manchester United, it shows that he may not do as well as many people are thinking right now. Although Serie A is not as difficult as the Premier League, it is still one of the top three or four most difficult leagues in the world.so i don't think Amorim will have the chance to dominate Serie A. I won't say that he can't win trophies with AC Milan, but it will not be easy.

If we are  talking about players he will sign, Manchester United gave him good opportunities to sign players who were important to his system, based on the club's financial capacity. To be honest, he did not deliver. In fact, he is seen by some as one of the worst managers in Manchester United's history. All I can say for now is that we should wait and see what happens when the season starts. It is still too early to draw any conclusions.

I believe parting ways with Conte is good for Napoli. If you ask me why you can just check out what KDB said about him after Conte's departure.  Grin

It looks he wasn't happy with his way of management of the team at all! Not only him I think. There are more players sharing the same opinion on him.

But as for Allegri's leaving Milan I would agree with you. There was no need for that as he isn't the main reason behind all this...

Conte actually has a great track record as a coach in Serie A. He has won league titles before and has even delivered trophies for several different clubs in serie A. But, for some reason, he decided to change his approach and took the risk of experimenting with new tactics and strategies. That turned out to be a mistake, which ultimately led to his dismissal and damaged his relationships with some of the players.

On the other hand, I don't think the situation was that bad. IMO, Conte should have been given at least one more season to fix the problems and turn things around.

Conte always success winning the domestic league tittle so far when appointing Serie A team manager, Juventus, Inter and Napoli success winning the Scudetto under Antonio Conte era and specially he won at the first season appointing as manager for three club above. Sadly he leaves Napoli early before his contract expiring indeed in this season can't defend the Scudetto tittle but finish at 2nd place not really bad achievement for Napoli and really doubt with Napoli management appointing Massimiliano Allegri become the next manager.

Allegri failed make Milan finish at Champion League spot standings and have sacked from his position only one season but Napoli have braveness decision for appointing him become new manager.

I think Conte has built a very good reputation for delivering immediate success in Serie A, and winning the league with Juventus, Inter, and Napoli and this alone shows how effective he is good at changing football teams so quickly and for him finishing second after his departure is still a very achievement for Napoli, even if they could not retain the Scudetto and as for Massimiliano Allegri, the doubts are understandable because his recent stont at Milan did not go as planned.

Napoli is trying to sign Union Saint-Gilloise player Anan Khalaili, who is 21 years old. He is very young, and if Napoli manages to sign him, it could be a good signing because they could keep him for many years, which would be good for the team if he plays very well. Having many talented young players would make them a very strong team for many years. Whereas when a team has many good older players, they might achieve something in one season, but then they struggle to maintain good results for many seasons, and the management wastes money hiring too many coaches in a short period.

Napoli signed Lukaku’s replacement, Hojlund, last year.
The fact is, he hasn’t quite risen to the occasion, but he’s young and has plenty of room for improvement.
We’ll have to wait and see how Massimiliano Allegri manages the team and whether he’ll be able to get the best out of them

I've been saying this for months and I confirm what you've written for every single word. Italian football has continued to decline in glory in recent years, the latter being perhaps the worst in recent years for the great teams that have always been the best.
The only thing that made me follow the championship with pleasure was Como and their feat, they climbed the table as a team should, they certainly don't have a football history like Juventus, Milan and all the other great teams, but they demonstrated a stronger sporting heart than the big clubs.

First of all i would like to says Milan will be out from champion league of this season and i think this is the caused why the management have to sack the previous manager and replace to Ruben Amorim. But i can see some fans have doubt Amorim can make Milan return to champion league considering what he was done in Manchester united but, we cannot judge him too early because the league hasn't started yet.

For champion league Italian team who nearly almost to get trophy is Inter Milan but unfortunately, at that time they have lost from Manchester city. In my opinion Amorim should do big change in Milan i think necessary to make this team can more competitive with their rival Inter milan and i heard he will be prioritize young players which this is good because trust to young players make Milan will have good squad in the future.

They actually played very well and strongly in the end, which is why they have been in the top 5 and if their performance continues like this time, I think so too, but for that they will have to change a lot of players so that their struggle is better than before. Como and Roma are the better of the two, Como who had done a lot of good work and won their last matches. I don't believe in Juventus because they play well in the beginning and collect some points and when they need to win, they start playing poorly. All these teams will try but 3 of them will definitely go to the relegation zone and that will be their negligence, so everyone should play well and make efforts for the title. Como will play well this time and can fight for the title because they have the ability to win the title.

I don't know if their squad is good enough for the championship, but I'm sure we'll see a strong Como team again next year. What you said about Juventus in the Italian league is very true. For the last two years, they've started the league very well, but towards the end of the season, everything falls apart and the team starts losing matches consecutively. That's why Juventus needs to have a stable system. If you're not consistent, you'll always lose. If they want to win the championship, they need to fix this.
