It's not free and Real Madrid paid the €20 million release clause to have Dumfries. Inter Milan could not do anything when the player wanted to leave, and there was a low release clause like this, with a very rich club like Real Madrid, it's not a big cost for them. Especially they have many reasons to find and get new players for improving their squad quality.

With Real Madrid, their attraction with star players is very big and Dumfries after some seasons playing for Inter Milan, already wanted to have change for his career. With Jose Mourinho as a head coach in Real Madrid, there is possibility of considerable improvements next season and Dumfries might even have opportunity of winning UEFA Champions League title with Real Madrid.

No, Dumfries isn't leaving for free. His contract was until 2028 with Inter. But as far as I know Inter isn't getting a high transfer fee. Only €20m...

Even if they were going to get a much higher amount I wouldn't still expect them to spend such money on a player. 

That's just not the kind of a transfer strategy they have had. They are always trying to finish transfers for as low amount as possible.

Of course, that's true. In my opinion Amorim is a good coach but when he was in charge of Manchester United the team's performance was struggling to improve. Therefore it's understandable for Amorim to accept the dismissal from Manchester United.

This is very true.  Some fans are actually fans of a player and not the team so automatically whichever team it is that the player is playing for, becomes  the team the fan supports. The transfer window is of advantage to both the team and the players because in a way both of them gets to benefit from the movement that happens in the transfer windows. Some players gets better pay after  they move from one team to the other and some team gets the opportunity to win a title after they must have gotten some set of new players.

Yes, is something that happens often, there are fans who follow a player wherever he goes, i will always remember with Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Juventus how many people became Juventus fans to go and see Ronaldo and to see his numbers, this has always happened and will always happen.

On top of that, they will have to invest a lot of energy into their Champions League campaign, and I think that could affect their performances in Serie A as well.

Como didn't arrive there by chance, that's for sure, Serie A is a championship that seems simple but there is a great tactic behind it and the winner is whoever is actually stronger than the others, as always, Como tried to have the most consistency and in fact they were consistent until the end obtaining an excellent result.

Judging by Como journey under new ownership, it's not a coincidence, but the result of hard work and truly solid management. I still can't understand how Milan lost at home in their last match. Milan essentially handed over their Champions League qualification spot to their opponents at home. Como moved up in the Champions League standings after Milan's defeat. Milan are changing managers, but I hope this new manager succeeds. Because the previous one had a good start with Milan but couldn't maintain it. They show a similar performance to Juventus in this regard; their performance drops significantly towards the end of the season.

From what I've seen, Inter has a lot of older players. They need to gradually rejuvenate their squad, because many teams are building their rosters with young players. For example, we can cite teams like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid. Inter should follow these teams' lead and get rid of their older players. If they want to achieve better results in the Champions League next year, they need to bring in quality, young players.

He is indeed a great coach and has made Juventus a team that other teams in Serie A are always wary of. Como's consistency was seen in the league I believe they will go far if they continue with that level of performance.

Como first time in the Champions League since the club history, let's wait and see what they give as first time impression, without any Champions League experience, i won't expect much to be coming from them.

With a player who wasnt a guaranteed starter, it is big price to pay for 74 million. Dembele injury point was not fully deserved as his season has been more of case of being in right place at right time.
However, clubs do mostly invest in potential as well as present performance and age profile. Ramos is still young, and has shown his ability to compete in important minutes at high level. Milan may be taking chance on what he will turn into, not what he is today. But there is doubt about the timing. Unless player has proven to be starter, it appears to be a gamble to invest in him at the top of his transfer window. This is signing that Milan have struggled with, in that they have paid out much for players who havent worked out for them. Amount of 30 million feels more like number closer to fair value based on his real contribution. At 74, it is serious risk.
