Milan has signed Sankhoun Diawara about whom I have no idea. He is a young CB. Modric is staying for another year. He is about to be 41 years old but still continuing. He is still performing really good in the Serie A.

It seems that Juventus are signing Kessie on a free transfer and Parma’s goalkeeper Suzuki; this is what Italian football has come to. Free agents on very high wages, cast offs from other major leagues such as La Liga and the Premier League.
Here, where players like Baggio, Del Piero, Maldini and Pirlo once played, now you only see players who are practically past their prime, this is what the political leaders of the Italian football system have brought us to.

Wasn't Juventus interested in bringing Emiliano Martinez? How did they go down to Suzuki? Martinez is much older, I know that. But he is very experienced so they should push for him instead.

Kessie is a finished player now in my opinion. He left Europe for Saudi Arabia and now he is free agent after playing for 3 years there. Juventus is really disappointing with these targets indeed!  Sad

It happened to almost all clubs from Serie A yeah the financial crisis made them unable to hunt for players in the transfer window only targeting cheap players or free agents. So far Juventus has spent 64 million to bring in several players and we know Juventus also wants Zion Suzuki well, this is the right step if Juventus wants to strengthen its defense line especially now that Zion Suzuki is on fire after his impressive performance during the World Cup. It is reported that Parma will release this player for 30 million and honestly, this is a promising investment for the long term for player 23 year old.

Football is now not just sport (for years) it is a full-fledged business activity, so if you have money to invest you have the opportunity to grow and grow a team, if resources are limited growth will be contingent only on the individual talent of a player.
But a team isn't made up of just one player, so here's the decline of a championship that made us dream.
I'm not saying they don't make investments, but comparing it to other leagues, Serie A is the least performing (in terms of investments).

Fiorentina was in a very bad situation last year and almost got relegated. Fortunately, they managed to recover in the second half of the season and their chances of relegation disappeared. To avoid a similar situation this year, they have started making transfers and I think we will see a better Fiorentina.

The arrival of the new coach has certainly given new vitality to this Florentine team who risked being relegated in a completely unexpected way, and perhaps they would have even deserved it due to the terrible championship played, today they are moving a lot on the market between purchases and sales because i don't want a situation similar to that of last year.

Right now Inter are still the best team, by far, so I think they are going to win the Serie A again. It's going to be interesting to see what the other teams will do: if they buy a couple of right players we could have some serious contenders. On paper Inter should have won more leagues during the last years, but it didn't happen. That means the league is kind of unpredictable, and that's a good thing.

I don't really agree that they are by far the best team in the championship but they are certainly slightly favored also because the other big teams in the championship such as Milan, Juve and Napoli are not yet making a real noteworthy market, moreover there are a lot of redundancies to deal with before thinking about improving.

Money plays a role in football, especially considering the popularity of the league, and Saudi Arabia is one such example. It's no surprise how money flows so readily into this industry.
Some clubs are willing to spend huge sums of money just to acquire one player they desire, even if the player's expectations are often far from what they expected.
Overall, it's true that a league as popular as Serie A isn't as financially robust as the Premier League, but Como's recent performance after being acquired by an Indonesian billionaire has been quite surprising. They have set targets for next season so they can compete with other top teams.

In reality the president of Como was very smart, he is certainly a billionaire and perhaps one of the richest presidents if not the richest in our championship, however he did not spend crazy sums as some might think as a president of a Saudi team, on the contrary he invested in a capable coach and in requests within the reach of other mid-category teams, but with careful eyes he managed to put together a truly competitive team.

At the very least, every team should have young players they've developed from their own youth academies, just as we see with English and Spanish clubs.

Yes also because many times they themselves don't know that they have talents at home, Yildiz comes to mind who came from the youth team and then exploded, it should be a normal thing to give spring players the chance to show off, i am breaking a chord in favor of Allegri who has always stood out in this as a coach.

true, they are looking for business but often they are older players, see Modric
I have to say that in recent years the football that counts has moved away from Italy, or perhaps even from Europe
emerging African countries and some other new strong countries (like Switzerland) are starting to get serious

This means we are (Fino Alla Fine). Honestly, as a true Juventini, I don't want to expect too much from Juventus next season. Some of the players brought in don't seem to be able to compete, although I must remain optimistic about this club. This doesn't mean I doubt them, but with the players brought in and considering the tightness of Serie A next season, it seems Juventus won't be able to rely solely on forwards. At least midfielders will be needed much more, and the defense was lacking last season. That's why I can assume this.

Opnda suffered an injury in the preseason match and had to be withdrawn. The Serie A season hasn't even started yet, but Juventus has already had to swallow the bitterness. Hopefully, Openda's injury isn't too serious.

Juventus should make a very targeted market, to avoid making a market with excessive expenses and without finding the right quality to include in the squad, in recent years they have made a market that could be said to be almost ruinous if not for a few good additions, the amount spent and the quality achieved are not on the same level, let's hope they can improve this situation.

Whenever a team is suffering any form of set back, their best bet most times is usually a strategic move with either the players or the coach and in the case of Fiorentina, they were very strategic with their coach and now they are ceasing the opportunity they have got on the transfer market just as they should. If this new coach is able to recruit new players that will fit into his strategy, we can expect better of them this season, at least a decent finish around top 5 is will not be a poor expectation neither will it be too much for them to achieve with a good squad on ground.

Make no mistake, Juventus's system has been in place for a long time. Honestly, I'm not surprised that Juventus is targeting free agents. Do you remember this list of players?

- Fabio Cannavaro (2009 from Real Madrid)
- Andrea Pirlo (2011 from AC Milan)
- Paul Pogba (2012 from Manchester United and returning in 2022)
- Fernando Llorente (2013 from Athletic Bilbao)
- Kingsley Coman (2014 from Paris Saint-Germain)
- Sami Khedira (2015 from Real Madrid)
- Dani Alves (2016 from Barcelona)
- Emre Can (2018 from Liverpool)
- Aaron Ramsey (2019 from Arsenal)
- Adrien Rabiot (2019 from Paris Saint-Germain)
- Angel Di Maria (2022 from Paris Saint-Germain)
- Jonathan David (2025 from Lille)
- Zeki Çelik (2026 from AS Roma)

Look at the players Juventus has brought in for free. This isn't a lack of money to buy expensive players, but rather, Juventus is seeking players who can be projected into expensive players. Juventus will certainly profit, just as Juventus acquired Pogba from Manchester United for free but sold him to Manchester United for a substantial fee.

Serie A indeed not really popular if comparison with top Europe domestic league but still competitive regarding last five years there not any team can't winning Scudetto back to back, last two season Napoli success become the winner but last season can't defend their Scudetto tittle and Inter Milan success winning scudetto. Have chaance for this pattern continue at next season with Inter Milan can't defend their Scudetto and other team such as Mlan or Napoli win the Serie A?

Juventus is seen as the Italian Manchester United, very confused and changing formation too often, Juventus does not have 11 starters because they change formation every match and this makes the players much less inclined to create a game in which we understand each other better because every time there is a different player to get used to, this for each department.

Yes Juventus always made this kind of contracts with free players and they WERE quite good doing it but look at the list a guy provide above, look at the names and how season after season they keep being worst and worst players, compare the names and you can guess why Juventus now is not a top team anymore.

I think they have to side on this problem, first one is no money for salaries, and second and most important is the arab money who steal players from them.

It's a good comparison though. Manchester United have also had serious problems on recovery after his golden years. But at least they are doing better with Carrick lately...

What about Juventus next season? Will they be able to make progress with Spalletti by adding the right players to the squad?

I don't doubt his player judgement honestly. It's all about how much money he will be able to use for transfers.  Roll Eyes

It is not enough for a club to just buy big-name players, but it is also very important to have a good coach in the team. The team needs players who fit the coach's strategy, have the potential to improve and are within the club's financial capabilities. To change the situation of Juventus, they definitely need some players. If they can manage well, then the team will definitely improve. If Juventus makes more prudent decisions in the future, cuts unnecessary expenses and builds a squad that can make the team stronger again. Given the current situation, if they can keep Juventus' expenses under control and bring good players into the team, they will be able to improve.

Inter Milan has a much higher chance of winning, even though all the other teams are looking good, we can say that Inter Milan has a much higher chance of winning the trophy compared to all the other teams. But there are several problems, for example, if Inter Milan players face injuries then maybe there will be a big impact on Inter Milan's game. Because Inter Milan's first eleven is very strong and if these players get injured then they may not have the strength to fight. All the elements of Inter Milan are looking very good at the moment and everyone thinks that Inter Milan can win this new season. But let's see how Inter Milan progresses through performance.

I don't think Juventus is experiencing financial problems they're simply trying to capitalize on potential by slashing players' salaries, which have been significantly impacted by losses in previous seasons.
Financial Fair Play regulations are also a reason why they haven't signed expensive players in recent seasons, opting instead to capitalize on free transfers.
This has had a slight impact on the team's performance as Juventus has struggled to keep up with much tougher opponents in the title race. Pogba is one example of a player whose sale has benefited Juventus, and they may try to do the same again in the future.

Italian sides have not impressed anyone in the last decades and the only team that was consistent was Juventus but I guess they couldn't maintain the standard and had to fell off from the top of their game. Do you think COMO can take over from the Old Lady's since Inter Milan don't seem to be doing the work.
It's a very good point, and you know, something's happening with Italian football. Not just at the club level, there's something I don't like. I'm not saying anything about my country never having been to a World Cup, but Italy should always be going to the World Cup, so the clubs need to do something. Maybe investment is what's needed; that influences everything. Money fixes everything, especially in Italy where there's so much football talent. COMO can it make the difference? But there are many factors that might be working against them.

Why do you think Como could turn the Italian national team’s fortunes round?
Como, in fact, is the team with the fewest Italian players in its squad, and perhaps not a single one in the starting line-up.
In Italy, there is a lot of talk about introducing rules to protect young Italian players by making it compulsory for each team to field at least three of them in every match.
It would send out a strong signal and demonstrate a desire to make a fresh start

Well, not just the COMO I think all the teams, because the Italian League is very good, but it doesn't have as much relevance as the Premier League, the Ligue 1, and it's been shown that the best leagues are the ones that have gone far now, so if the COMO makes the difference, I think many good things could happen, but only if the COMO is done well, if it's a revelation team, the team I thought was going to be AC Milan, but they couldn't, but Inter has shown great football, however I think that in the Italian League there isn't a team that has only Italians.
