6m is not that bad consider Lukaku is very rarely playing. The main concern is that he has quite high salary which is close to the 150k weekly. So Napoli wants to get rid of him, which is quite burdening them compared to how low his contribution to the club.

Nevertheless if he can play consistently at least a half of season when he join Fenerbahce, it can be considered as a benefit for Fenerbahce. But i admit Fenerbahce is doing gambling by signing him when he's just recovering from his injury.

I think Fenerbahce decision to sign Lukaku was spot-on; I don't view it as a long-term transfer, but rather as a "win-win solution." €6 million plus bonuses is a bargain for a player of Lukaku caliber, if he fails, Fenerbahce losses won't be significant, but if he manages to raise his game, the club stands to make a huge profit. Another reason they are recruiting Lukaku is the need for an experienced, physically strong striker with the big-match mentality required for competitions like those in Europe, Lukaku still possesses everything Fenerbahce needs. Lukaku also needs a club that can offer him a leading role to cap off his career in style, at Fenerbahce, he would be the primary striker and main source of goals, unlike at Napoli, where competition in the attack is fierce.

Somehow, preseason matches is saying something about the team already because the season will start and the same outcome will continue to be the case but by probability preseason might not be the final say of how a club will perform should season begin. I know everyone's focused on the "7 matches 1 goal" thing (it was actually 8 matches btw, across all comps). That does not really convey the whole idea behind this deal Fenerbahce is making.

Simply put, his body broke down last season. Thigh injury from August to December, then hamstring again, then his hip. He played a total of 128 minutes. That is not even two full games worth of football. Judging him by that is like taking a look at a restaurant based on the time they ran out of pasta.

The wild card for me is İsmail Kartal though. Kartal took over in June. Coaches are different, ideas are different. Whether he is using Lukaku to his best advantage or lining him up on the bench... That is the real reason here.

Agree. Things haven't been great for Amorim at Milan so far, but I think a healthy dose of reality is important. AC Milan is a big team who have lost their glory in recent times. When Amorim was appointed as head coach at Milan, he rebuilt the culture, created a competitive environment, and changed everything. That takes time to lay a good foundation for the club. So I pray that Amorim doesn't fail after spending a lot. I just imagine having Maldini at this point when the ownership has decided to invest. I tell you, Maldini would have put Milan on the same level as PSG in terms of team quality.

Keeping Lukaku as a backup striker maybe would've been a nice approach for Allegri but since he's decided to let go of the Belgian, I believe he has good reasons for such decision.
