Roma had an excellent performance against Fiorentina and kept a clean sheet on their opening game but I think its still too early to decide how the rest of the season would go. Fiorentina showed little or no interest in yesterday's game hence the final result, though the goal difference was beyond my expectations.

That win should be a major boost to their confidence and a great start to the season. After qualifying for the Champions league last season, it would be expected that this performance should be displayed in the UCL games as well, we would love to see that they compete offensively in the Champions league and show the same prowess.

It seems that Gasperini has managed to find in the Dybala–Malen partnership the new playmaker–finisher duo that Roma needed. Dybala is a machine when it comes to assists and brilliant moves, and Malen, when set up well, is a great finisher; he has pace, spots open spaces and makes excellent runs. The problem is that when Dybala is injured, and this happens often, someone else needs to step up and provide those moments of brilliance. However, Soulé, for example, has faded into the background somewhat and is playing poorly, whilst El Shaarawy has left, so we must hope that Dybala can stay fit and injury-free.

I didn’t expect Roma to beat Fiorentina with a lot of goals in the first game of the season. Although they did well during the preseason matches, but this is league game where both sides understand each other’s strengths. Roma dominated Fiorentina throughout the match, Dybala with three assists in 4 goals win. I lost my bet, I bet on both teams to score since Fiorentina is one of the strong team in the league, even though they were not at their best form last season.

It will be difficult for Roma to maintain this kind of performance till the end of the season. They will take part in the Champions League this season, unlike last season when they only played in the league. The players will face a lot of challenges, this is just the first game of the season, let’s see what happens in the next 7 to 8 matches, maybe we can see some changes in their game.

I also placed bet on that game and I won’t lie to you I almost cried I never expected Roma to bet fiorentina at all because the Fiorentina I know they are actually good at conceding goals and even tho I know Roma is also a wrong team I played fiorentina win or draw I did not even expect them to draw but play a straight win if I had known I would have played that over 2.5 at least it would have been in my favor because I never expected Roma to will at all even with that huge amount of goal 4-0 like I didn’t expect that at all and talking about Dybala he is dominating well for himself and the club and him getting 3 assists actually shows how useful and influential he can be when he is involved.

Roma really played very well, and that exceeded expectations. It looks like Gasperini will truly be able to take Roma to an even higher level. Last season, Roma finished in third place, and I don’t think I’d even be surprised if AS Roma competes for the title this season, though this is just a tentative assumption, since we don’t know if Roma will continue to play just as well when facing equally strong teams.

I’m also curious to see if they’ll perform well in the UCL. Especially since we know the pressure in the UCL is immense. But last season, all the Serie A teams were eliminated too early. I think this season, Serie A teams need to restore their reputation in the UCL and avoid being knocked out too early like they were last season.

Roma played really well in attack, but I think the credit goes not only to Roma’s forwards, but also to some very poor defensive mistakes by Fiorentina. Their defenders were allowing Malen to enter the penalty area far too easily and score. It’s a good victory, but I’d like to see Roma continue to play just as well and score just as many goals in the next rounds. Then I might also share this optimism about Gasperini’s achievements.

Well, it’s true that some of Fiorentina’s mistakes and defensive lapses did make AS Roma’s attack look flawless. perhaps if their opponent had been a team with an equally strong defense, AS Roma would have struggled to score many goals.

However, there’s one thing I forgot to mention earlier: this team was very lucky to have secured Donyell Malen on a permanent deal for just 25 million euros. as we know, last season he was only on loan from Aston Villa starting midway through the season, if I recall correctly. But during that time, Malen managed to score 15 goals in just 20 matches. As a result, Roma ultimately decided to sign him permanently last May.

And now it’s clear that was the right decision. In just the first match of this season, Malen has already made his mark again by scoring a hat trick.

There’s a strong competitors this season, Roma will struggle to compete for the league title. If i may ask you mate, how many seasons now have you see the Roma been in this kind of form in their first game of the season? I know that there’s strong teams like Juventus, inter Milan etc in the league, but that doesn’t mean they will still not doing well, that’s what give me confident but not that am fully confident on them. Because football is unpredictable anything can happen, just that am really impressed with their performances, let continue to watch them when they play against big teams; so that we can able to rate their level of playing.

I totally agree with you: between the two teams Roma were the favorite one, not only because they were playing at home, but also because Fiorentina changed a lot of players so the team needs some time to adjust. Roma kicked off the new season in spectacular fashion. Dybala provided three assists, while Malen scored a hat-trick. The fourth goal was netted by Pisilli, a youngster developed in Roma's youth academy.

In my opinion, Fabio Grosso brought Oulai into the game far too late.
The young talent is a dynamo in midfield; he is a player who covers a lot of ground. I expect to see Oulai in the starting lineup for the next home match.
Fiorentina needs to beat Frosinone in Florence.

Roma started the championship magnificently, Dybala made three nice assists to Malen who made the most of them by scoring a nice hat-trick. Fiorentina have started badly this year too, they have many new players and also a new coach. Fabio Grosso is a good coach and will do his best in the second match, in Florence he has the chance to beat Frosinone and not lose too many points. Given how it was built, it should have a good championship.

We've seen players who were doing exceptionally well while playing for English Premier League clubs but started flopping after joining an Italian club and we've also seen the reverse.

Sometimes, it's not about the league but a particular clubs style of play. We need to know that some players function better while playing under some managers whose style of play forces the best out of them. Malen is more of a physical player and I think Roma's manager is giving him all the needed freedom on to operate and score goals.

Not all players manage to do well in certain championships, but Malen is a great player who knows how to play and who knows how to score. Then with Gasperini's help he will be able to have an excellent championship, he is capable of getting everything out of his players and he demonstrated this a lot when he coached Atalanta. We'll see if he can do something fabulous in Rome and maybe win some trophies.

Mbappe cannot adapt to the team, but to his teammates. At the club, he is known as a selfish player, which is why he has never developed good chemistry with his teammates at any club. At PSG, he used to create controversy with Neymar and Messi, now with Vinicius Junior. Here, the problem is not his adaptation, but rather himself.

However, the case of Juventus is different, I feel the lack of a good manager there who can manage the players properly. Basically, due to the lack of a brave and skilled manager, Juventus is now having to find their lost past. They must even become a corruption-free club.

Players being carried away to score goal will indirectly negatively affect the performance of the team and if such continue, the whole season will be greatly affect no matter who the players are. What vinicius is doing will lead him no where better, seriously working together is the best thing to do. It's just a fact that all players won't score goal(s).

Well, the first thing I want to say is that perhaps it's not worth jumping to conclusions based on one match. I think I'd like to see Roma play a few more games and see how well they score. Regarding Dybala providing assists, yes it's good that he and Malen found that synergy right away, but don't forget that Dybala isn't a very consistent player. He has good games, and then he has disastrous ones, when his game just doesn't click. So I hope Roma continues to play this well, but I'd like to see more of it in future games.

Napoli have come out on top many times in the past, but perhaps things will be different this time. At the same time, i don't think we should get carried away or immediately start favoring Roma. Roma performance didn’t start this way last season, untill the mid of the season when their performance started to improve. In the Europa League Roma was eliminated by Bologna in the round of 16. Roma performance started to improve after they were eliminated in the Europa league and then focused more on the league matches. This performance will be very difficult to maintain due to the Champions League, they don’t have the quality players.

Malen's Roma adventure is going as well as it could. He's already started the league with three goals, and they've shown how big a threat they are to Roma. They need to maintain this performance this year because they'll also be in the Champions League. They're not aiming to fall behind in the Scudetto either. They will continue the fight, and the performance in the first match clearly demonstrated that. I think they will be at their best physically against every team. They've made many transfers and assembled one of the largest squads in the Italian league.
