Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich is always a great match that gives emotions and following it is always a positive thing, i think that Bayern Munich, being more free from commitments, can play a controlled match and that they can win it easily, but in football you never know how it will end so i will follow it also for this reason.

The fixture is on saturday, the two leading teams will be facing each other. I think almost everybody will say Bayern Munich will win, which i will agree with because of what is currently going on in the Champions League match, Atlanta came from 2 nil down, equalized the aggregate and now they are leading, Dortmund are getting kicked out from the Champions League, with such performance, it is hard to defend them against Bayern Munich.

Dortmund has been eliminated from the UCL. Dortmund performance was so poor in this match that they couldn't even maintain their aggregate lead, even though Atalanta hasn't been a consistent team in the domestic league this season. However, their comeback against Dortmund was certainly surprising. Dortmund defense is very fragile at the moment, so it's understandable that they won't be favored against Muenchen on Saturday, even though they're playing at home.

Bayern Munchen has been very good so far and they've been very prolific in scoring goals, so a win against Dortmund on Saturday is a must. If Bayern Munchen can win, the pressure will be even less on Bayern Munchen in the Bundesliga trophy race, as the points gap with Dortmund will be 11 points. I see Bayern Munchen as better prepared for this match than Dortmund, so I'm betting on a Bayern Munchen win.

it’s going to be a very interesting and tough match cos that’s like the el Classico of the Bundesliga but the problem is Dortmund is the ‘Arsenal’ of the Bundesliga, every season they try but never make it. I’ve learnt not to trust them for anything. I personally think that Dortmund's defeat today will affect their performance when they play against Bayern Munich later. Dortmund still seems to be lacking confidence due to the defeat they suffered after Atalanta's impressive comeback. And I think that makes it difficult for Dortmund to forget that nightmare. However Dortmund must be able to bounce back by regaining their confidence so that they can focus on competing in the Bundesliga considering that the season is coming to an end. And there are about 10 rounds left for Dortmund to make good use of. Dortmund currently is in second place in the standings. They must keep their hopes up in the next few games in order to solidify their position or even close in on Munich as the leader of the standings. Dortmund only needs to earn full points in each of their upcoming matches to have a chance of overtaking Bayern Munich if Bayern Munich loses points in their next few matches. Even if Dortmund was knocked out of the Champions League or not they still don't have what it takes to beat Bayern Munich and the league leaders will definitely make their pain to add up to their exit from the Champions League, a massive defeat awaits Dortmund. Imagine if Dortmund is leading Bayern Munich by 3 goals to nothing at half time and in the second half we start seeing a repeat of what happened in the Champions League, for Bayern Munich to come back and beat the 5-3, I'm just saying because these guys don't know when to turn up the heat on their opponents no matter who they're playing against.

Is that based on empirical evidence, did you check the data whether there is correlation/presumable causation between midweek games and weekend success rate? You put this out here as if you screened through a mountain of data and came to this conclusion.

Getting knocked out of the Champions League is emotionally difficult and that gives Bayern another advantage. Yes, Dortmund will be grieving as if they lost a loved one and therefore will lose. It all makes so much sense.

a club opportunity was on there side, the first time Borussia Dortmund won Atalanta on the knockout was the point they could have use to qualify, but their next match was just at the beginning of the second half and Atalanta was at 3 goals and even when Borussia Dortmund recovered from the three goals that gave Atalanta more aggregate they still allowed Atalanta to get the fourth goal. Is unfortunate the only league that is left for them is also going to belong to another team because Bayern Munich is going with 8 point from Borussia Dortmund and there is a match they are about to play and after Bayern Munich wins the point will increase to 11 point.

What a bad result for Dortmund yesterday, they have the advantage from the first game but they let it go pretty fast, they found after the Adeyemi goal which put them again in game but in the last minute they give a sillt penalty to Atalanta.

Dortmund deserved elimination from the Champions League, Atalanta saved themselves with a penalty, but still played clearly well compared to Dortmund.
Bayer Will be committed to keeping the score high, but the gap is already important, so i don't think they'll push much.
They are still 8 points apart, which keeps them comfortable in the comfort zone, they certainly need to continue playing well and not make trivial mistakes.

Dortmund were most probably going to be eliminated in last 16 anyway if they advanced there (as the opponent was going to be Arsenal/Manchester City). However they would have still made more money...

Dortmund could not stand the pressure of playing at Atalanta's home stadium. The Champions League is the biggest European competition, and Dortmund should have done better, knowing their fans came a long way to watch them qualify. The first half was very poor. Atalanta had total possession of the ball, Dortmund didn't make one attempt in that first half. The moment the second goal came in for Atalanta before the end of the first half. I just knew Dortmund would give this lead to Atalanta after full-time.
