Leipzig is coming back hotter this season, having replaced Ole Wemar for Martin Demichelis, a former Bayern player who understands the ins and outs of Bayern's successful formation and structure. His presence as an opposition to Kompany, and his tactical experience about Bayern, having won 11 titles playing for Bayern, Kompany will have to restrategize to retain the title.
I don't agree with this point of view. It's Ole Werner by the way and his being replaced made zero sense... Do you know why? Because the guy literally helped Leipzig get back to where they belong again in the Bundesliga. They finished in 3rd place last season. Zsolt Löw's result was 7th place in the season before. But they sacked Ole Werner anyway. Why wouldn't you give him another chance after this? I don't get it at all.

That's football management for you. You can't really understand them and their decision making because one minute, this is a coach that helped restore your status and it's expected to retain him instead you show him the door so when the new coach fails you become desperate and start looking for who would redeem the club. I've seen such mistakes happen in Celtic and at Tottenham. Leipzig are taking on Demichelis whose previous club was RCD Mallorca and he led them to relegation so help me understand how a manager who couldn't help a side like Mallorca stay in the LALIGA be able to keep Leipzig from falling?

Have you asked yourself why a club, after winning a title, won't repeat the exact same team that won the title in the coming campaign? In football, every season comes with a different purpose. Ole Werner must have done well to bring Leipzig back into form by signing strong players like Diomande and by finishing 3rd, a remarkable feat. But the club wants to win the title, which he's proven himself incapable of doing, leading to his replacement with a coach who understands how Bayern, the title monopolist, operates, for a stronger and more formidable race.

Their chances of winning the Bundesliga are already very high. It's become a tradition that repeats itself every year. Bayern Munich wins the Bundesliga, and then their Champions League performance is judged. Now, for Bayern Munich, a manager's success isn't judged by their Bundesliga title, but by their Champions League performance. In my opinion, Kompany has done a successful job. They were eliminated in the semi-finals due to bad luck. They could have reached the final, but they couldn't overcome Paris Saint-Germain's strong defense in Germany. This year they will again be in the Champions League, at least reaching the semi-finals. The Bundesliga, as they already have, will continue its tradition of being a place they win.
Kompany can say anything about him except that he is to blame, he has been an excellent coach for the team, certainly his experience as a player in top clubs has helped him a lot, if Olise decides to stay then next year Bayern will continue to be strong and could even win the Champions League again.

First of all you always have some to improve and you want to correct whatever was bad in the previous one, second some players can be tired or aging so you have always to change things. Plus other teams are gonna improve and try to beat you knowing what you do.

Again, facing runners-up like Dortmund won't be an easy race for Bayern, Gregor Kobel and Serhou Guirassy will inspire a strong performance for the Black-Yellows once more this season. I think Kompany has so much on his desk to focus on, including the Champions League; the race will not get that easy on him.
A derby is always a derby, with Dortmund playing in Germany it's always a pleasant spectacle, the yellow wall tends to put a spanner in the works by itself, because it produces excellent performances but when the tension drops even just a little then the whole team goes haywire, as has already happened many times and not just with Bayern.

It's been reported by the ever dependable football journalist Fabrizio Romano that Yan Diomande has joined Real Madrid in a fee that could rise up to £100 million. I'm a Real Madrid fan but I think that amount was just too much for a boy with less than 20 career goals. Leipzig o believe will be very happy with the signing because it actually leaves them in a very good profit.
We shouldn't just look at the numbers about Diomande, because he did very well in the league and stood out from the rest of the team, Real Madrid saw in him a talented young man and above all a young man with future prospects, we know that Real Madrid when he scores shots and because he saw something that the others didn't see, I'm curious to see him play.

Leipzig is about to make a huge amount of money after Yan Diomande's sale. They are already a rich team of course and they are very good at making use of young talents like him too. Just like Dortmund is. But of course losing their most talented players this quick just prevents them from building a strong team for the future. It is the same for both of these teams. This is why Bayern Munich would just continue to win the Bundesliga almost every year.

Teams like RV Leipzig have survived such losses in the pass, big teams used to to always buy out any player they brought up immediately once they noticed the talent, and since the Bundesliga is not that competitive as other leagues like the premier league, they can survive and build another young talent again because they know they are not among the top three teams again in the Bundesliga and have nothing to lose, so it is better to make money for the team when they have the opportunity than to let the player keep playing without much recognition. I can see that the deal is not yet confirmed despite seeing posts by Fabrizio yesterday that it is a hear we go, but I am sure since Real Madrid is as pushing for the deal to complete, it will soon be completed.

Agreed that the sale of Yan Diomande fetched them cool cash, but it will be a big problem if they can't fill the void he's left. Just last season, they parted ways with Benjamin Sesko and now Diomande, I just hope they don't become like Wolverhampton in the EPL who kept selling good players but had no better replacements and now that they have signed a new coach who's performance level isn't up to that of his predecessor, I hope they are not setting themselves up for failure.

Revisiting the transfer market, in an open window, activates a fresh input in a team, transitioning from known strategies to a yet to be discovered tactics, builds positive growth. Individual clubs study the playing pattern of opposing teams, for instance, the story behind the heavy penalty on Southampton over an Intern 'William Salt' caught videoing Middlesbrough training session 72hours into an upcoming match.

It will be very difficult for Leipzig to come back stronger when Bayern Munich are still in their best performance, I doubt any team from Bundesliga that will stand to challenge Bayern Munich now, because they are at the top for a very long time and they continue to maintain that particular level, last two season when bayer Leverkusen did so well by challenging them, we all thought that their era has come to an end but unfortunately it seems that we were dreaming. Bayern Munich still remain the strongest team in the Bundesliga and it will take a while for any team to come and overtake them finally. What is stopping others to get to this level is because of funding, if they can have that opportunity I think they will face serious challenge.

That's not really fresh news, but I've just learned that Leverkusen appointed a new manager, Carles Martínez Novell. I have to say, I am a bit surprised by that decision, as I thought Kasper Hjulmand's position was somewhat safe and that they would give him a bit more time to build the team. Hjulmand served as a manager for only 9 months. The team's performance under his management was hit and miss. They played inconsistently, but that's somewhat expected when a manager is taking over a squad built by someone else. I guess the plan minimum for the past season was to achieve the top 4 and participate in the Champions League this season. Leverkusen fell short, as they finished 6th after disappointing results in the last 2 games of the season.
Speaking on the new appointment, Leverkusen's managing director said: "We carefully considered which coach would be the best fit for Bayer 04's next phase of development. At Toulouse, Carles Martínez successfully developed numerous young players and shaped an internationally diverse squad into a strong and cohesive team." Could this be an indication that Leverkusen are not very keen on spending money on big transfers and are hoping that Martinez will develop new stars from the club's young players' pool?

If Kompany can maintain Bayern Munich's quality, he has a chance to win the UCL trophy, although it is difficult, the possibility is still there. The word "luck" is too easy to throw around. The defenders, the whole tactical organization, Kompany. No one is held responsible for anything since "just was not their night". But it was their night. PSG did not get lucky. They did exactly what Augsburg did months ago?? The same method, just, like, that is the same method. Sit back, do not press, wait to turn over and then run into all of that space on flanks. Augsburg got the job done using mid-table players. PSG just did this with Kvaratskhelia and Dembele. And that is what kills me. The blueprint was just sitting there on the tape. He came to Paris with the same shape after months of time to make the shape a bit different, anything. Olise does not cure the issue that got them eliminated. Frankfurt's Brown may actually. His speed is good to recover when the fullbacks are driven high up the field. This was what was lacking. Bayern obviously can compete for the UCL. Whether Kompany gets rid of his system to win it. And honestly? I am not sure he will. Some coaches would rather be right than win. I hope he is not one of them.

Comparing both teams squads, it really shows that Bayern Munich and Leipzig are on the same level. However, I would say that Leipzig may not be strong enough to seriously challenge Bayern Munich, despite the quality of players they have and the form they are currently in.Still, nothing is impossible in the world of football. We have seen many unexpected teams rise above expectations and challenge the biggest clubs in their leagues. Over the last three years, we all saw what happened in the Bundesliga when Bayer Leverkusen produced an incredible performance, won the league unbeaten, and lost only one match all season the Europa League final. With all these experiences, we should know that anything is possible in football. It may not even be Leipzig that challenges Bayern Munich; it could be another team that no one expects. We should also remember that a team crowned league champions one season can lose form in the following season. We saw this happen in the Premier League. Liverpool won the Premier League two seasons ago, but they found it difficult to defend the title the following season and even end up the season at top four despite signing great players.

Bayern Munich has no problems in the Bundesliga, winning the trophy has become a tradition for them almost every season, the biggest challenge for Kompany right now is the Champions League, so far he has done his best, but luck was not on their side when they were eliminated by PSG in the semifinals. Keeping Olise is part of Kompany strategy to compete in the Champions League, he will also try to overhaul the team with more quality players to maintain the chance of reaching the UCL final and winning the trophy. It's natural for the management and fans to demand the Champions League trophy because they have won it several times before, but in this modern era of football, it is very difficult to compete with other teams because the quality of the squad is also above average. If Kompany can maintain Bayern Munich's quality, he has a chance to win the UCL trophy, although it is difficult, the possibility is still there.
The squads Bayern Munich have I don't think they are match to any other Bundesliga teams. Because only few teams like Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Leverkusen and RB Leipzig can compete against Bayern Munich. With Vincent Kompany managing this club and their squad depth, it will be very difficult for other clubs to win the Bundesliga trophy. I agree with you that Kompany will put more focus on the Champions League title than this league because he has higher chance of winning the Bundesliga. He fought very hard last season in the Champions League but he couldn't make it to the final, but this time around, I consider Bayern Munich among the strong contenders for the trophy.

It was a surprise in the Bundesliga, but for next season, I still think Bayern Munich will remain the top dog, even though other teams will continue to try to prevent them from immediately taking first place. Dortmund is a good team and is capable of making ordinary players into very dangerous players, but next season, I still doubt Dortmund will be super strong and prevent a team like Bayern Munich from winning the title again, because Dortmund's current team is still below Bayern Munich's.

His earned the nickname, the assist king for the previous season and this world cup tournament season. The most incredible part was the way he smashed the world cup assist record that has stood in for decades. Pele held this record with 7 assists and if I'm not mistaken, when this record was held, most of us in this forum our parents were still kids or young adults, that's how long the record have stood. Seeing Olise doing it in his first ever world cup appearance isn't talked about enough. Olise is a danger to defenders and top clubs will be willing to sign him but I'm sure Bayern Munich will want to hold on to their asset for some years to come.

Well to be honest, under normal circumstances none of those teams stands a chance if you look at the players individually. Only a miracle season like Leverkusen had some years ago could spoil the next championship for Bayern. Teams like Dortmund often kinda keep it close but when it comes to the important games, these game days where Bayern doesn't win for a change, Dortmund often can7t get their shit together and actually close the gap for whatever reason. This upcoming season will just be the same old story again I fear. Bundesliga has 1 team to get the title and the rest is fighting for the UCL spots, that's it.
