If only they beat bayern few days ago ... everyone would agree that dortmund still had a big chance in this title race , but the result says it all ... there are no team capable to compete fully with bayern munich at this time , only bayern themselves could decide whether to destroy themselves by losing a lot of points in the rest of the match of the season or yeah dortmund can only putting pressure on till the last matchday.

I think that Dortmund is the most consistent team of all the Bundesliga in the last 15 games they have only 1 draw against Schalke away and one lost against Bayern Munchen also away from home and 13 victories,no other team in the Bundesliga is doing this great so Dortmund is really a strong contender this time.

I think that it will be difficult for Bayern Munchen to qualify against Manchester City but anything can happen,if Manchester City did not have Haaland in their team then most probably Bayern would win and qualify but the fact that Manchester City,a really strong team even without Haaland can be really dangerous when they also have Haaland on their side and this encounter which will see the first leg tonight cannot be decided until the return leg even if Bayern wins tonight.

I think the third place will most probably be Union Berlin's despite that loss against Dortmund. Because Leipzig and Freiburg both have been very inconsistent teams for many weeks. Therefore I think the competition for the fourth position will go on between Leipzig and Freiburg until the final moments of the season. It isn't easy to be confident about any side here about it too.

For now I'm feeling closer to Leipzig because of their squad quality. Besides they already won a similar competition against Freiburg in the previous season.

Maybe, but for sure, at the end of the season the games will get tougher and we will see how these teams do the rest of the job. also, considering the rankings of Leipzig and freiburg which occupy 4th and 5th place. plus, with 7 games remaining until the season ends. that means, the three teams we mentioned have the potential to rank 3rd. after all, they still have tough matches. so, changes in the leaderboard are subject to change at any time. yes, it depends on how each team plays its matches.

but IMO, I suspect that Union Berlin is going to have a bad run of games. I mean, Union Belin will slip up in some of their bouts. that way, the team that is below them has the potential to overtake the ranking occupied by Union Berlin. in fact, I have an interest in Leverkusen. squad team made by Xabi Alonso, has the potential to occupy the 4th position. but with one condition, they must win all the remaining matches. even then it's not easy, because they still have tough matches like meeting with Liepzig and Union Berlin.

Well, at least this season the Bundesliga offers something different. not impossible, if there is a change at the top of the standings. yeah, we don't know. So, it's interesting for us to follow until this season ends.

You can also try to speculate if leverkusen will be doing clean sheet for the most of remaining matches until the end of season.
This will be helping leverkusen to climb up again. I think that leverkusen had more chance compared with freiburg even though the gap is still quite big. It seems like that a miracle is still happening with leverkusen at this moment through xabi.

I agree with you partially. If i had to pick the 4 teams of the Bundelsiga that will qualify for the Champions League next season then those teams would be Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leizpig and Bayer Leverkusen, because those 4 teams are simply having the strongest squads of the league. I am not so sure though, if Union Berlin can really finish the league on of the top 4 ranks. Just as Freiburg, they are playing way above their expectations in this season so far, but in the last few weeks it was also obvious that they are getting tired now. Both Union and Freiburg have lost their matches on the weekend and if Leverkusen can keep it's momentum, then that 8 point lead of Union does not mean that much, because there are still 21 points to be earned.

At the beginning of the season, the Leverkusen team was in very poor condition. They were at the bottom of the table. and consistently perform very badly. They were defeated in several matches. In terms of the results I agree with you but in terms of the performances it was less consistent than the results might suggest. I think you know what I mean. Sometimes you have these games where it is on the edge and could go either way. If that is five times the case and it ends in your favor those five times, your statistics look beautiful but they could be disguising actual weaknesses. This is a bit what happened to Dortmund. They had a couple of games where I thought, ok they could have lost this one the same way they now won it. At some point your game luck is exhausted. As soon as they play against stronger opponents you can see that pretty well. Take the games against Chelsea (who struggle themselves) or Bayern. That's when Dortmund quickly reach their limits. Even against other teams the games were very close sometimes. Not to mention the catastrophe against Leipzig in the DFB Pokal...

The end of the season is very tight, I think Dortmund also still has a chance because the difference in points is one game victory with three full points and counting the difference between Bayern Munich and Dormund, which is only two points, so I think there are still many opportunities if Bayern Munich can be defeated by one just match.

Unionberlin will probably maintain its position in third place but the task is to keep winning in the rest of the season, it is quite difficult but I am sure Unio Berlin can come out as third.
I also think that it seems that from the whole game Leipzig have been more consistent in their game and so far have been pretty good against every opponent even if they lose, Freiburg have a very tough task if you want higher expectations.

The match between Leverkusen and Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League is an important game for the former. They might not make it to the champions league because the competition for the top four position in the Bundesliga is very stiff. They will have to win most of their games and clubs like RB Leipzig, Dortmund, and Union Berlin and drop points. But the game against  Union Saint-Gilloise will be very tough because this team is a formidable side. They are currently in the second position in the Belgian league and have a very good young team. I don't have any favorite team between them, so let the best team win.

The match against Gilloise in the European league will take place in two days and after that Leverkusen will face Wolsburg in the bundesliga. This week will be a busy schedule for Leverkusen, moreover they have to confirm two wins in two different competitions. Maybe the competition in the Bundesliga is quite tough because there are several of these clubs, but I'm pretty sure that Leverkusen can take advantage of the opportunities that exist if 1 or 2 of these clubs start to falter later in the top 4 positions. Only 5 points away from the nearest Leipzig and that can still be caught up if Freiburg and Leipzig encounter inconsistencies this season.

But their defending was quite weak against Dortmund which was the main reason why they conceded those two goals as well. From now on they are more away from the title competition in the league.

But I don't think this is very sad for the fans or the board. Because Union Berlin are already having a dream season now and they are getting closer to the Champions League group stage day by day. Even I am also feeling Borussia Dortmund can give entertaining end of this season but after watching remaining matches of both teams things looking not easy for them both are going to have same level matches with Bayern Munich is having only one game at home against Leipzig which can create something but with mostly it's all about luck and consistency with this all most chances Bayern Munich will be having another championship into their pocket with their game against Manchester City is tricky for their double chances if they are able to beat them surely this could be best and with this most chances they will end in this season with the double.

But, this year after the international break we have amazing stuff from the Borussia Dortmund which bring themselves into limelight for the title race and things can go either way because on match-day any shocking result can bring title race into interesting way with both are having level in quality.

Maybe to take Freiburg out of the limelight right now is natural for their inconsistency, but the next matches Leipzig and Leverkusen have quite tough opponents coming up, I don't think we can decide on this now because we don't know what the dynamics and results will be. the next match, I'm not sure I have to include Leverkusen in the team that will qualify for the Champions League because Leverkusen in the next few matches will face Lepzig and Union Berlin, of course this is quite tough, even though in five Leverkusen matches they collected full points from each match, I think Union Berlin will not throw away its sweat just like that.

Yeah I agree, because no only Leipzig and Freiburg are inconsistent Union Berlin remaining fixtures are also relatively easy then these teams which are going to give good advantage for staying at third spot with for the four the spot we will have not easy task if these two teams will be stayed at this level then surely we can expect Leverkusen will steal the show because their performance is extraordinary in last few weeks and after beating Bayern Munich their confidence level is also at the top of the game which will help them for having better end of this season.

It's been so long since we've seen a new face in the standings competition and Union Berlin can even reach 3rd place in the current standings. They appeared convincingly and got good results in every match. Talking about their work in the European league, maybe it will be a stepping stone towards the champions league next season or if not, they can continue to stay in the top 4 at this time so they can advance to the champions league via the domestic league route.

If i had to pick the 4 teams of the Bundelsiga that will qualify for the Champions League next season then those teams would be Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leizpig and Bayer Leverkusen, because those 4 teams are simply having the strongest squads of the league. I am not so sure though, if Union Berlin can really finish the league on of the top 4 ranks. Just as Freiburg, they are playing way above their expectations in this season so far, but in the last few weeks it was also obvious that they are getting tired now. Both Union and Freiburg have lost their matches on the weekend and if Leverkusen can keep it's momentum, then that 8 point lead of Union does not mean that much, because there are still 21 points to be earned.

Maybe to take Freiburg out of the limelight right now is natural for their inconsistency, but the next matches Leipzig and Leverkusen have quite tough opponents coming up, I don't think we can decide on this now because we don't know what the dynamics and results will be. the next match, I'm not sure I have to include Leverkusen in the team that will qualify for the Champions League because Leverkusen in the next few matches will face Lepzig and Union Berlin, of course this is quite tough, even though in five Leverkusen matches they collected full points from each match, I think Union Berlin will not throw away its sweat just like that.

Leipzig is like a plastic that deforms when heated by fire, and that is exactly how they react to Leverkusen matches. However, they have improved this season, and I hope they continue to do so. I will prefer to remove freiburg from the list and try to add leverkusen to the list why? the inconsistency of freiburg has been making many people distrust the club to get a spot in UCL. Union berlin and leipzig are going back again on the right track while freiburg is still struggling with its performance. Your focus must be on the leverkusen right now.

In October, Bayer Leverkusen were in relegation zone and no one were thinking they could be at this spot after few months under dynamic leadership of Alonso which is doing amazing job and now having sights on Champions League spot which is looking possible with their current performance and three teams which are struggling badly in last few matches specially Freiburg, Leipzig and Union Berlin are not good as they needed to be at this point if we have same level of performance then surely things could be interested in last few weeks because now Leverkusen having easy fixtures which can help them for having better spot in Bundesliga and final spot into Europa Cup as well.

Right now difficult to predict who is going to follow Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund for top four because all are having troubling time and Bayer Leverkusen and Alonso can take good advantage of this all which will help them for having amazing end of this season.
