Schalke or Hertha Berlin could therefore manage to move up to place 16.

Dortmund's condition in the league could have been much better than this actually. But they just lost so many matches so far otherwise they have only 2 draws.

They could have even been quite ahead of Bayern Munich in the standings. But things are still going fine for Dortmund now. Of course it wasn't good for them to lose to Bayern Munich recently but their performance was really bad at defending. There was no way they were going to get any point in that match. Dortmund will still hope for Bayern Munich to make a mistake at some point. Bayern Munich are focused on the Champions League also. If they even get bad results then maybe it can affect them in a bad way mentally.

After being eliminated from the champions league, Dortmund has not fully returned to its best performance. However, if we look at the last few matches that Dortmund have played, the results are quite good, they won from Cologne, Union Berlin and lost to Bayern Munich and Schalke in a draw.

Even so, the distance of 2 points from Bayern Munich is at least still relatively small and maybe if in the second leg of the UCL later, Bayern Munich fails to turn things around against Manchester City, then Bayern Munich will fully focus on the Bundesliga title. For matches at the bottom of the standings like this it is actually quite difficult to predict who will win because indeed both of them will definitely have ambitions, but on the other hand performance is also certainly decisive in this case.

I'm really hyped about Leverkusen's insane effort in the league recently. Because their recent winning streak has helped them a lot about reaching the sixth place. I mean this team were having quite big struggles before Xabi Alonso arrived here. Even after he came I doubted their performance honestly. Because Xabi Alonso didn't have any experience with a big team in his management career. There wasn't even so much time passed since he started his manager career.

But despite everything he managed to break down the prejudices for me. His performance with the team so far has been really amazing. They were near the relegation field but now they have a spot for the Europa Conference League. They aren't even far away from the 4th place - 5 points.

Considering that they are the most in-form team in the league now I would love to see them fighting for a place to join the Champions League as well.

I wouldn't guess that could happen right now. Manchester City showed its strength as a football team that has players with extraordinary skills; Erling Haaland still got goals in this match and was the scorer of the last goal that made Manchester City win this match.
