I agree with you that Borussia Dortmund is too business-minded to gain profit, while they don't seem to care about an achievement that they should also be pursuing. I think I don't need to say anymore what they do so I say something like this, because this is something that is already an open secret for them. Of course, the main goal for all clubs, including Dortmund, would be winning at every level. But, in the case of Dortmund, a few other things could mean that they do not always put winning as their first priority. Dortmund is one of the top teams in Europe and they were finalists in UCL last season. They are also one of the best teams in Bundesliga. Like last season, if you pay attention Dortmund will try to focus on 1 competition if one of the 2 competitions is no longer a chance. So at the moment Dortmund's journey is still on two sides, as an illustration in the Bundesliga they have secured 3 wins from 5 matches, then in the Champions League it looks more promising for now (not a guarantee until the end) because Dortmund will have difficulty in the next 6 matches especially against Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The competition in the Bundesliga always provides a place for Dortmund despite the tough competition from Bayern Munich and Leverkusen. Because Dortmund only needs to be the arbiter who takes advantage of the situation. With the achievements and what is happening to Dortmund now, it seems that the club's goal is only to make money, but it is worth being proud because Dortmund is able to produce "top players". Maybe if its star players did not leave, Dortmund could compete in the Bundesliga and the UCL League. We can see before Leverkusen became what it is now, the competition between Bayern Munich and Dortmund was always tight, when Dortmund was too strong, Bayern Munich always hunted Dortmund players. A sad evening for Bayern Munich as Aston villa won the game with a narrow 1:0 victory completely whisking away full three points from Bayern Munich. What an unimaginable way for an inconsistent Aston villa to do it. A brilliant result for them at their home ground. However, putting the result of the game aside, Bayern had much dominance and control of the game to which the statistics says it all but Villa got fortunate with that powerful shot from the super-sub Jhon Duran earning them tonight's victory over Bayern.  The champions league never stop getting interest with it's overwhelming results.

This statistical record is a clear indication that Bayern Munich did played better but probably wasn't lucky enough as they may be expecting in the game and so they couldn't get to the point of having a victory in the game, most persons including me didn't expect to see such a result in that game but its actually football and anything can happen especially at times you didn't expect them to happen. with this consistency, if Bayern Munich is able to maintain it long enough, they will do well in the champions league despite this loss, they can be able to still have chances to make up for it in the UCL.

I dont fully agree with you on that , that Dortmund only wanted to make money or profit even it looks like this way.
Mostly if players will getting better or very good at team they for sure want more money at some stage and thats the reason why they leave the Club.
Because most of the smaller Clubs cant efford to pay them the money they want specially when there is no big sponsor behind the Club as other have.

That is the reason most people put forward in this thread and it is very appropriate to describe the condition of Dortmund from every season in fact their main goal is the management of young and cheap players who are projected for the future with the aim of increasing the market value of the players so that they get multiple benefits and Dortmund always succeeds in growing the seeds of potential players with some examples of players you mentioned. As supporters there must be a sense of disappointment but back again Dortmund is not a rich club what they do is solely to maintain the club in the long term. I think Dortmund will always be a competitor in the Bundesliga not a mid-table occupant even so I will not deny that they are only a shadow of Bayern Munich in lifting the trophy especially now there is Leverkusen who shows seriousness in the title fight, so the chances of Nuri Sahin's squad are getting smaller this season.
