It's good for Bayer Leverkusen by starting a new era by a win that has double effects. It helps them to partially heal their crisis and also brings them more closely to top six of Bundesliga. They are now temporarily standing at a seventh position in Bundesliga but of course this position can become lower if other clubs win their match today and tomorrow.

Are we not surprised? Seriously I am because if this was Ten Hang's team, the would have lost totally to Frankfurt. They didn't just win but they won convincingly and also played well in the process. Bayern Leverkusen got one red card just when they were winning 2 - 1 and the game went on to 90+ minutes and they got another red card to make it two red cards. Guess what, they still scored again to bring the score line to 3 - 1

Yeah, I wouldn't think of another outcome if Ten Hag was in charge. The poor coach made Bundesliga history with the fastest removal of a coach after only two rounds and like 3 games including a victory, draw and a defeat.
I don't know if this will blow up his career for good or not because this opportunity to help Bayer Leverkusen get in its feet was completely destroyed and that was very shameful for him.

Lol, they broke the deadlock but they paid a huge price tho they effect by finishing the match with 9 men. If was really a struggle and they fought for that victory. The coach has now a new task which is to find starter replacements for Robert Andrich who would be absent due to the red card he obtained from the match.

If was really a delight seeing them get back to winning today and I hope they can sustain it when they go against M'gladbach on the 21st at home.

We have never seen a big club take such a quick decision to fire a head coach. Leverkusen realized their mistake very quickly. Despite facing some financial losses , they made the firm  decision to fire Ten Hag.

In the previous two matches, Leverkusen's opponents were quite weak. Leverkusen played against teams like Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen. Even then , they were unable to win. Today's opponent Frankfurt is quite strong. Despite that, Leverkusen secured a 3 - 1 victory in this match. This proves that Leverkusen's players are confident with their new coach.

Leverkusen's overall gameplay was excellent. Especially after the team secured a 2-0 lead in the first half. Leverkusen was confident even after midfielder Andrich received a red card in the 59th minute. The team performed brilliantly even with 10 players. This is definitely commendable.

Yeah, I had the same feeling. Did never see such a quick sacking before, definitely not in the Bundesliga. Not sure though if the change actually made them win against Frankfurt cause to be fair, Eintracht also didn't really make a strong game in my opinion.
In other games, I think Hamburg will get a trashing from Bayern today. Don't ask my why, I just have a felling about it. These 2 teams have a long history but after years of playing in the 2nd league I think Bayern will have a big welcome back present for them.

I haven't seen a game, and I don't think there are any decent highlights published yet, but from just looking at the snippet, I'm guessing it must've been a fierce game.
I'm not shocked to see Leverkusen winning, but doing so playing 10 men from 59th minute against a strong team like Eintracht is a bit of a surprise.

Well it a big win for Bayern leverkusen even if they didn’t get much of the possessions. A win is what is much needed in the team right now and that what they did. I almost thought they would draw or even lose the match after those red cards but they held their ground and even get a stoppage time goal.

I’m recent years, Leverkusen have always beat Frankfurt, so I have much confidence in this match that they were going to win. It was a big test for them as they were in a very poor foam before this match. Wins like this brings huge momentum in the squad especially when it under new management. I've watched some highlights of the game and got a little better picture. I think there's still a lot of work to do. The 3-1 result was great, but all goals were scored from set-pieces. Of course there's nothing wrong with that, but we're still to find out if the team's attack is effective and if it can score from play. The two red cards are also a bit concerning, players (especially the key ones) need to be more careful as it might cause some issues in the games to come.
Defensively, it looked really good. Eintracht was not an easy opponent.

I don't think Leverkusen will be able to dethrone Bayern, but I'm feeling positive about them finishing in the top 3.

I think with the performance that Leverkusen gave yesterday, many would conclude that Kasper is the right man for the job. I mean, tell me who can win a game with two men down and still maintain a two goal lead? When I saw the red card, I was like thinking that Leverkusen would start the their weekend with a draw but the confidence they displayed reminded me of how they were during the time of Xabi Alonso.
I don't understand why Frankfurt would be so weak in not just defense but the midfield as well. For the better part of first half, Leverkusen dominated the game which I hoped would have been of a close balance. Although this is the first game Frankfurt is losing, they can't afford to be so poor in games if not they would keep recording bad results.

It's clear how Ten Hag coaching under the new manager has had a positive impact on the team, earning three points with just nine players. Ever since rumors surfaced that Leverkusen wanted to sign Ten Hag, I've been very skeptical about Leverkusen future, and for some reason, there are still some here who believe in Ten Hag. In my opinion, such a decision does feel extreme, especially at a big club that usually allows more time for evaluation. However, sometimes the management has considerations that aren’t visible to the public, whether it’s the locker room situation, a vision of play that doesn’t align, or external pressure. It was a deserving win from Leverkusen as they were the better side to watch, a shocking replacement with a deserved victory in his first coaching role for Leverkusen. What will be needed is consistency, winning the first game is a great start but not all that is needed, the season is fresh and long, Hjulmand need to make his team keep this performance steady for the entire season.
