Bayern Munich in general have been awesome this season in all competitions, and have shown some level of superiority above the rest of the clubs in the German bundesliga, this has been made possible by the continuous tutorship of coach Vincent Kompany who has made some tremendous effort in improving this Bayern side from what they used to be last season to where they are right now, they seem formidable at the moment and are looking like one of the favourites in the UCL so to say, but I hope they would maintain this form till the knockout stages of the champions league and perhaps make it to the finals hopefully.

The Champions League trophy is what Kompany needs to win for Bayern in order for them to believe in him the more because that's what will make the difference between Kompany and the previous coaches. Bayern is use to winning Bundesliga because they have always been the best in the league.

However, the team looks sharp and strong, they are looking promising to go far in UCL due to their high level of performance in their matches. Kompany is doing a great job to keep the firing burning.

You're right, if Kompany was backed by the board of Burnley with a better squad, maybe they wouldn't have been relegated but Kompany just had to work with what he had and left the rest on the effort of his team to decide their fate, it didn't work out well cause the squad wasn't balanced not because Kompany wasn't good. We can all see what he's doing with a good squad and  in a better environment with richer board that are ready to back him up with the quality players he deserves to do better in both domestic and international league competitions, if he wasn't good enough Bayern's performance would've been poor and he'd probably been sacked by now.

The biggest threat to Bayern Munich in the German league right now is Borussia Dortmund. If any team can challenge Bayern Munich, it is Dortmund.
