The most interesting thing is that Harry kane scored all three goals scored by munich in this match. Despite not scoring any goals in  the first half, Munich performed well from the beginning of the second half and eventually won by a large margin. I was sure that munich would win this title. But my focus in this match  was on Kane's performance. Kane probably took another step forward in the race to win the Ballon d'Or. He scored all three goals in this  important match. If he can  perform well in the World Cup in england's jersey, Kane is probably going to win this year's Ballon d'Or.

I do agree that this should not be all that much of a big deal but it really is to people because Kane is still doing great even when the game doesn't matter which shows to his professionalism and that is the most important part. I do agree that this should not be a big deal because they are already the champions so they could have lost and nobody would have cared. But he still cared and he still scored and they still did alright in the second half.

When you have something like that going on then we could safely assume that they are going to end up with a result that would be great for next season. It shows that they have players who care about the win and not just win when it matters but literally have concentration to care about every single small game too.

I did watch some of their games way later in the season. I felt they were kicking it and would be able to manage it and stay in the league but, they just couldn’t in the end. There game with Paderborn today was definitely one that they can win and were in the lead way early in the match but, that red card changed everything for them. There wasn’t a way they could manage it for real and were even good enough to hold the game into extra time. Way to go Wolfsburg, they could see themselves back with just a little effort.

You’re right, the red card completely changed the game. Just remember how the first match went, Wolfsburg completely dominated in that one, and when they scored already in the third minute of the second leg, I thought everything was going perfectly for Wolfsburg again. But after the red card, Paderborn felt that they could turn the situation in their favor. And after that, Wolfsburg basically only defended.

Paderborn attacked so aggressively that it honestly looked like a match between a huge favorite and a complete underdog. As always, it's not a team's history or history that makes the difference, but there are many other factors, including commitment during the match, perseverance, and no less cohesion between the players and the coach.
Paderborn played aggressively in this game, they simply amplified the skills they already have, they didn't do anything exceptional, Wolfsburg didn't have tenacity during the Championship, they didn't have the chance to push beyond their capabilities, yet they are a team that has potential, unfortunately untapped.

So, what are the chances of Wolfsburg pulling an FC Kaiserslautern move next year? 
Well, till then we have Schalke, oh, the team that is always plagued by money problems!

I wonder whether there is a solution to these national superpowers to keep the domestic leagues interesting while also having international competition in mind,  but since football has become an investment vehicle, countries like Germany suffer.

NBA style transfers and budgets, but this will never fly in Europe, never!
Or the previous rule of a maximum of 3 foreign players, again, not going to happen ever again!
Too much money involved, nobody wants a piece of his pie being cut off!

I'm just speechless... Wolfsburg are in such a mess that they can't even beat a 2nd Bundesliga team to remain in the Bundesliga. Is this team in really this bad situation?

Schalke are back in the Bundesliga after 3 years. But I doubt they will manage to stay for even a year. As long as they have bad finances it is very difficult... 

Köln and Bremen also had a serious relegation danger this season. But probably they would stay as the promoted 2nd Bundesliga teams will be more likely to relegate.

Maehle received two yellow cards in three minutes, leaving his team with 10 men. If Wolfsburg hadn't been reduced to 10 men, they wouldn't have been relegated. Paderborn equalized in the final minutes of the first half.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time and went into extra time. They scored the winning goal in extra time, and Paderborn were promoted to the Bundesliga. Wolfsburg were relegated to Bundesliga 2.

Wolfsburg bid farewell to the Bundesliga. Although they scored early to take the lead, Wolfsburg—who were reduced to 10 men after receiving a red card in the opening minutes—still managed to hold on until extra time. For some of us who's been supporting German football for over the last two decades, it's actually disappointing to see one of the traditional clubs in Germany get relegated. I was honestly hoping that they'll win their game tonight not because I didn't want Paderborn to play in the Bundesliga next season but because I thought Wolfsburg ate more deserving. Don't know of they'll be able to return back next season but I wish they do

Whether it was the players they developed or the quality of their squad, they were a good team. If I recall correctly, we’re talking about a team that won the championship in the 2008–2009 season. It’s truly sad for them that a team that won the Bundesliga title has now had to say goodbye to the league after so many years. I hope they bounce back and return to the league next season. At the very least, a strong recovery process would bring joy to their fans.

Their real mistake wasn't in the last play-off match, the real mistake was in the first play-off match. They should have won there, scored two or three goals. Instead, they couldn't even score a goal, resulting in a 0 - 0 aggregate draw in the second leg. That was a mess, in my opinion. We are all confident they will return to the Bundesliga soon, it just takes time.

Harry kane is a very energetic player and he has the potential to achieve his great and the best. He is one of the main key players of the Bayern Munich and everybody knows that how much Bayern Munich is strong and they have all their good policies to maintain their dominance. But it is very unlucky or unfortunate that Bayern was not able to perform in the final of champions league. But I think Harry kane has been settled his goal for this time to achieve and secure the Ballon d'or. Because the player has the potential and he can do as he is already received the cannon of the highest scorer in the Bundesliga. And his chances to secure Ballon d'or are very bright he just has to manage his performance in the world Cup and if he manages it will going to be so good for him.

However, if Wolfsburg had managed to win the first leg at home, they wouldn’t have been relegated as well, but they drew the first leg, while I assumed Paderborn had the home advantage to win the second leg. Despite with the early red card, Wolfsburg managed to maintain the 1-1 for the whole ninety minutes before the extra time and concede the last goal. I hope the management invest in the club next season.

Yeah it was sad to see Wolfsburg relegated to the 2.Bundesliga. I agree that their performance wasn't that top but honestly Paderborn was the last team I would see in 1.Bundesliga and I am wondering how long it will take them before returning to 2.Bundesliga.. At least Schalke could maintain themselves for few seasons. Elversberg doesn't look bad too.
I tend to blame the red card too but as said, Wolfsburg were able to score in the first leg at home which didn't happen. They should fix their team and try to return back to where they belong.

Wolfsburg has been relegated out of the Bundesliga, their 29 years in the Bundesliga has ended this season. Wolfsburg has had the opportunity of having some of the great players we see today play for the club but some of us don't know these players actually played for Wolfsburg, I'm sure many of us knows about Kelvin de bruyne but how many us knew that Victor osimhen played for Wolfsburg, who still remembers Ivan perisic, Eden dzeko, Mario mandzukic, Draxler, Ricardo rodriguez etc. these players all played for Wolfsburg, the club has indeed played it part in shaping some of the great players we know today.

Wolfsburg was the 8th team on "value" rankings, the team players were valued at 8th place in transfermarkt and while that is not of course a definitive data, it shows that they are not that bad and they should have stayed up.

Yes, this is another proof that team value doesn't always guarantee these things. For example Tottenham are even one of the most valuable teams in the PL but they barely stayed in the league this year. 

Something isn't going right at Wolfsburg and it has even dragged them down to the 2nd Bundesliga by losing a team from them... They are out and Paderborn are in. However Paderborn will also be one of the first members to relegate next season.
