It just looked as if players were inspired by the international break and decided to display once they got back to their clubs. See how Leipzig demolished Frankfurt 6-0 and it wasn't as if Frankfurt were a weak side or something, but their defense was just utterly torn apart. Don't get me started on the fact that Bayern Munich also ended their game in a draw. Very funny scorelines we experienced and it seemed as if the drama all happened on Saturday because Sunday was quite tame. Let's believe that Bayern couldn't pull out a win because their goals were chopped off and Augsburg seemed prepared for them, else I didn't expect them to be held by Augsburg because this is a team they can beat in their sleep.
The goal difference between Leipzig vs Frankfurt is wide, I expected Leipzig to win the match but not with that number goals, maybe something like 2 to 3 goals with Frankfurt having maybe just 1. I guess Bayern Munich destroyed or rendered a lot of bet slip useless. Because many people never expected a draw even as Bayern is away from home, a clear win even if with stress is what many expected.

For Bayern Munich, the Champions League is more important than the Bundesliga. So before the Champions League match, it was more important to prepare for the Champions League than to win the Bundesliga match.
Even if Bayern Munich has won the Bundesliga several times because of their aim to win the Champions League, they would not lose their interest in winning the Bundesliga. As Bayern aims to win the Champions League, they will still strive to win the Bundesliga too because winning the Champions League can’t be predicted. A team can put all their energy into the Champions League, but there is no guarantee that they will end up winning.

Everyone expected Bayern to win that game but I'm surprised that it didn't end up that way. Maybe, Kompany is more concerned about his UCL match coming up tomorrow. However, I don't think that should be an excuse for that draw because they will play Vikings and I believe they aren't as strong as Bayern. The season is still fresh and Bayern will survive in the long run because they're use to it.
I did expect Bayern Munich to win that much, but looking at Viking last few games, i see how they are a real threat against Bayern Munich. Bayern had no reason to lose the game, but if they see Viking as a threat, I understand why. Viking, in their last five games, have won all, they scored about 3 goals in each game, i think they may be a threat to Bayern and a reason Bayern couldn't win their last game, because they had to preserve their strength.

I don't see Munich just thinking about the UCL this season because a team as big as Munich should be able to win as many titles as possible each season, especially the Bundesliga trophy which is Germany's main league. So two draws from the 5 matches Munich has played so far doesn't mean they're only focused on the UCL, but rather because sometimes at the beginning of the season, big teams always experience a dip in performance, and that dip usually becomes a point of evaluation to become stronger and more consistent. Especially if we say they're focusing on the UCL even Munich in the next UCL match will face a relatively easy opponent Viking. On the other hand, I’m sure Munich will still be able to dominate the Bundesliga even though they got a draw, but their rival Dortmund also drew against Bremen. So it can be said that Munich can easily overtake Dortmund who are only two points ahead of Munich. Freiburg is indeed at the top at the moment, but for me, they’re not serious competitors for Munich and Dortmund. Maybe in a week or two they’ll drop points because they have to face Leverkusen and Munich.

It is important that Bayern Munich should not only put their focus in the champions league only because they will be surprised that they lost winning the Bundesliga title they’ve always won. Just because they win it every season doesn’t guarantee that they will win it again if they don’t put in the same effort they’ve always put into the game every season. The champions league is very unpredictable and sacrificing every trophy for it could end in regrets if care is not taken. Bayern Munich is a team that knows what they’re doing, I’m certain they won’t fall into this trap and fail losing both of the trophies in the chase of one of them.

Bayern munich has been playing a different football this season, we are not seeing much goals from them again and they struggle to win matches maybe with time they will wake up. Many gamblers had Bayern munich to win Augsburg in their bet slip because they thought that Bayern munich would want to win and go top in the table but they manage to score at 80th minutes to get it done on a 2-2 draw.

Of all the German Bundesliga titles Bayern Munich has lifted, Vincent Kompany's team has managed to win just two so he'll not be looking at a record he didn't create. Bayern Munich isn't just aiming for the UEFA Champions League competition, they're also competing for the league and the DFP-Pokal to complete their mission of winning treble mission. Champions League is the most demanding, they'll put in their all to achieve that surely.

Maybe because it is Champions league so I’m expecting Bayern Munich will show them experience over the Viking if not for such possibility, Bayern is not at a good form this season and Viking. They are the ones competently leading their table right now and will like to keep so much voltage in the game. I’ve also known Bayern Munich for delivery and competence, they are a club with pride and a club which work hard to ensure their club delivers at all costs regardless of whatever hindrance they face, it is just that this season is not yet favorable to them and all efforts to go back to the top of the league is still abortive.

Bayern had the opportunity to have won the game, but it was all thrown to the trash, and they were not playing with all seriousness even if they played draw i still expected a win from them, but the result was just not a satisfying one at all because they could have won, but no they gave augburg to many chances. Their defense was too open because, from what all of us watched, the defense of Bayern was not as strong as expected.
This might be due to player fatigue caused by a packed schedule. Some players have just returned from playing for their national teams and already have to play domestic matches while also preparing for the UCL. So, a draw is understandable. The only thing that is hard to accept is that Bayern had a huge statistical advantage but still failed to score 3 goals to secure the win. For Bayern Munich, the Champions League is more important than the Bundesliga. So before the Champions League match, it was more important to prepare for the Champions League than to win the Bundesliga match. Kompany was not willing to overwork tired players, which is why they lost to a relatively weak team even with a full strength team. Although the match was drawn due to fatigue, I think Bayern Munich should have won the match, Augsburg was not a team that Bayern Munich needed to play against with a full strength team. It must be admitted that Bayern Munich lost because of their poor performance. Why do you say that Bayern lost the match? I know Bayern should have won the match but they drew. Again, I wouldn't say that they drew just because of poor performance. If you look closely, you will see that Bayern were not bad in attack at all. They attacked quite well. Even their xG was around 4.19, while Augsburg's was 2.85. Again, Bayern created several chances and Kane hit the crossbar. You may have seen Gnabry hit the post, but all three of their attempts were disallowed for offside. So it cannot be said that the problem was not creating chances. Rather, the chances were not being taken because of offside discipline and loss of defensive concentration at crucial times.

Let's assume everything you said is true. But don't you think a club that wants to win the treble needs to maintain a very high level of stability and consistency? And just look at how Bayern have been performing lately. I'm not underestimating Bayern or doubting their ability, but the fact is that winning the treble is extremely difficult. Bayern had the same target last season, yet they failed in the UCL. Two draws away make it seem as if Bayern no longer have the same mentality they used to have.

Their last game is no exception and as for the table 2 points difference doesn't look like a threat to me. As long as it's Bayern chasing from behind they will surely reclaim the top position besides we are just 5 games into the season. The champions league shouldn't be the reason for their last draw to me Augsburg came prepared to face them.

Guys, it's a simple matter, as high-performing as Bayern Munich is with a significant squad, supporting all competitions with high performance is not an easy thing to manage. Players if they don't get proper rest are liable to injury, we know full well that even the best teams can't afford major injuries, they would play the whole season. In my opinion, it's a strategy; they're not aiming for just one competition, but are seeking a balance to keep them all active, with a more or less balanced performance. But we're talking about Bayern who can afford or at least try to do this thing, smaller teams in your opinion would be able to do this? In my opinion, no.

In the match against Schalke, you could say Bayern drew because of rotation, even though they dominated the game throughout and Schalke may have simply been lucky that Bayern couldn't score. But in the match against Augsburg, it's hard to say what went wrong, because Bayern played their strongest available lineup. I think the main criticism should be directed at the defence and Neuer, because he had a poor game.

I wonder why he thinks Bayern Munich is not in a good form because they're in third position and maybe drew to Ausburg in the last match, sometimes we forget that the season is still fresh and they have enough time infact more than enough time to catch up, like you said it's just 2 points difference which isn't a big deal for a team like Bayern. About their Champions league match today, I believe it's a sure win for Bayern Munich, I'm not underrating Vikings especially as they're at home but it would be totally disappointing for Bayern to lose to them.

It is very dangerous to take that risk but just as you said it their eyes is still on the Bundesliga title, Bundesliga is getting tougher because currently as it is now top teams have not lost any of their five matches played, which means they haven't lose to any team and with that no team will like to lose the opportunity of being defeated right now, because others will take the advantage of it. I will not say Bayern Munich are facing challenges now because the season has just started and no one knows what will happen tomorrow.

When it comes to Bundesliga I’ll always predict that there will be goals in that match and it’s like that most of the time.
Bayern last season was always part of my picks when it came to teams to score more goals, they may draw but the goals are certain. I’ll say the teams in Bundesliga are not always consistent with their records when it comes to winning streaks and maintaining their place on the table.

Agreed, among all the leagues in the world of football Bundesliga is the league that produce the highest goals each seasons. We hardly see draw like 0-0 the less we see is 1-1, that's the main reason why their over goals odds given by bookmakers always small when it comes for betting. Talking about the not be consistent record, i think football don't really need to keep a consistent record. It will be fun seeing other teams topping the league and winning than few teams.

The way they set up the UCL fixture in this their newly found schedule is very demanding for players physically and a team that has very small squad depth will really suffer the pressure because forcing the same set of players that comprise of the starting 11 to play the international matches and also turn up to play for the domestic fixtures and again make them travel all the way down for another night of intense European game will surely affect their fitness and fast track any aspect of muscle injuries.
