So you demonize Bitcoin, because of your security mistakes? You demonize the coin you hoped to clone and make money off of, because you fucked up? Anonymous tips to the CIA/FBI won't do much in terms of your attacker returning the stolen funds....
I was thinking the same thing, it's like putting a big wad of cash on your cars dashboard and then blaming cash in general for getting stolen.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

OP if you don't take care of your own BTC, thats meant to happen. If you don't want to take care of your BTC; then go to xapo, learn about it and store your BTC there, and they take care of your BTC for you.
Trying to get your money back because you invest it in an altcoin that fails is another history.

Anything that has nothing to do with money laundering, drugs, child pornography and weapons is not money

Well this was an interesting thread to read!! Smiley

How much FUD in the OP's opening post. And the most amazing thing is that he left his bitcoin address so we can donate him for this that he has written. I don't know why this was necessary if he is so disappointed in Bitcoin.

The bottom line is that this is a new technology that needs to be improved a lot to be used on the day to day basis by the ordinary people. The thing that needs to be improved the most is of course the security.

We all know this and if you cannot write something to support us OP, please don't write a FUD to put us down.

Money laundering, drugs, child pornography and weapons. Anything else I’ve forgotten?

You forgot extortion.

PS: Money laundering and drugs are not bad things. Your brain was just washed.

This is not the place for innocents.

This is not the place for the naive.

If this can happen to me, it can happen to anybody and nobody is safe.

False.  You have an extremely high opinion of your abilities.

I was thinking the same thing, it's like putting a big wad of cash on your cars dashboard and then blaming cash in general for getting stolen.

Everybody is just jumping on the troll like it's their own fault something got stolen. In the example above it's foolish to blame cash in general. It's equally wrong to blame the careless person that kept in a very unsafe way (though they did fuck up, I agree with that). How about we start blaming the criminals?

We could blame the criminals, but what is that going to do? If people don't realize that part of it is their fault for bad security, then they aren't going to change things and criminals are going to steal it. If something is exploitable, someone's going to exploit it.

And that's the real problem. And it has zero to do with bitcoin.

Bitcoin will always get its reputation dampered because of the darknet. That's no excuse to undermine its technology or concept. You could argue that fiat currencies are used to money launder, purchase drugs, ect. Bitcoin has multiple sides to it. Because it's used for some illegal purposes doesn't mean it's a "criminal's currency". Bitcoin has been used for many different purposes that are completely legal and moral. You can't cherry pick the negatives that the users use it for and blame the currency.

Bitcoin? Call the police!

Money laundering, drugs, child pornography and weapons. Anything else I’ve forgotten?

You've forgotten that you can buy some online stuff on internet safely and fast like i was did

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have reached the point in their development when they must choose between continuing as regulated currencies or finish. Because it is not possible to build a business which is oriented towards criminality.

why do you just see from the negative side, i could even build a business which is oriented towards criminality with fiat, there are some possitive thing that you can make with bitcoin, bitcoin and other crypto still developed to make them as perfect
