this thing seems pretty sweet, it allow me to make profit even now, 50-75 net per month, not bad at all, still it would be good to see a a lower level antminer s7, a small cousin
because i don't want to run something which consume more than 600w for now, it would be a problem with this apartment when running thing like washing machine etc...

-droid- That's a pretty scummy thing to do Considering I sent him one... where is my cut droid? I guess I didn't ask if he was not going to sell. Just assumed. But still surprising if true. I sent out a few Pm's yesterday and you were kind enough to give me one; but everyone needs to read the full story before jumping to conclusions https://blockchain.info/tx/fbc39dd64a0228b21b31ef3a0639a189da91e0bbdcff93683d34058e0dc0f2dcI've been in contact with Bitmain regarding the issue since at first I didn't know if I would get a coupon and thinking they'd sell out of the s7, I placed the order without one and sent a note to Bitmain asking if I could just pay for my S7 minus the coupon value (Philipma can vouch for me this). Bitmain just replied back saying to place a new order using the coupon and ask to transfer funds from my original order in the notes so I just cancelled the eBay listing telling whoever bought it that it's no longer available. My reasoning for listing it, was if Bitmain would come back having me pay the full price and wouldn't let me pay the minus $100 order that at least I could sell it and get something out of it.. Albeit not $100 off but $40 after eBay fees

you mean s5 or something else A similar wattage to S5 but using a single s7 board is what we are talking about. This would keep noise needed down, give double the hashrate of an S5 and be even smaller than s5. interesting, but is it doable, I wonder? people can just form a co-op of loose S7 boards: say, each of three-four-five people take one board out and stick them into a pre-made box with 140mm fans for less noise. However, taking one board out of S7 might change the properties of the wind tunnel-S7 seems to be very dense inside as it is. The good thing is that it gives some impetus for fiddling with S7, which is great.

If anyone can do it, I bet sidehack could figure out what would be the best way to encase a single blade, an issue would be controllers though if Bitmain isn't involved.
So is the S7 board size so different that it would not fit in an S5? Maybe Bitmain could offer an upgrade package?

This might sound silly, but what I had in mind was 3 people purchasing 2 miners and split them into 3 unique miners with 2 hashing boards each. Ofcourse this would require a extra controller.

AntMiner S5+ Batch 1 × 1 2375 USD ( 8.973 BTC ) Speed: 7.722TH/S
ANTMINER S7 BATCH 1 Speed: 4.86TH/S Weight: 4 kg Price: 1823 USD ( 7.984 BTC )
.989btc difference for 2.862TH/S seems a big premium for efficiency
0.61 BTC/THS more for that premium. Pretty steep indeed. I've decided I'm gonna have to wait for reviews and hope the price is adjusted lower. At the current price, there will be a few hundred people buying these fast in the first few days. My gut tells me that sales will most likely drop off dramatically to a trickle. They will have to lower the price to get the sales moving again. YOU WOULD BE correct if they did not mine. They have a self interest in limiting hash power. As does any of the top mining companies do. My guess is they shut these sales down quickly and assess what knc,, bitfury, 21inc, btcChinapool do to expand. You have to understand if they sell 50ph of these they mine against them and bitfury knc ,miner ,21inc ,btcChinapool all expand.,, My guess is they sell 1000 units top or 4-5ph to us smaller miners https://blockchain.info/address/1KwA4fS4uVuCNjCtMivE7m5ATbv93UZg8V so far 1500 btc in sales or 200 of these. now at 35,774.79976412 BTC, No. Transactions 6455. I was given a different wallet address for my order. So far I'm the only one sending to this wallet: https://blockchain.info/address/1CWByf1b8jvJURP2dE7rLp1ufkAWPJZ7wr EDIT: they sent my payment to 1KwA4fS4uVuCNjCtMivE7m5ATbv93UZg8V . Likely tracking for accounting purposes.

I asked of screenshot's and I will drop it. I think it was sold unless screenshots prove otherwise.

Since power costs here in my country is too high, plus it's hot in here, may I ask: Will S7 be available for redemption at hashnest anytime soon?

final balance 1804 (as you have to ignore everything before Aug 30) or ~225 machines. Come one, who wants to be a member of a S7 300 club (S7 future owners who ordered before three hundred machines are sold)? kidding, of course my crystal ball sees a $200-250 price reduction with a hefty coupon for early orders, unless BTC goes to 350 shortly.

The reasoning on listing was wrong. But we all make mistakes I guess. I just don't have time to keep playing investigator. Even at end he did not understand ebay is wrong nothing I can do to change that.

you mean s5 or something else yeah basically, but with the efficiency of an s7, it would be ideal for those who want only a small hash to try out, or for casual mining

How well did the S5 sell when it first launched? Anyone have any number for that in the first 24 hours? I assumed it was a lot more than 225 machines. I thought the warehouses would be making orders like crazy. S5 history: 3000 BTC transferred on 12/18/2014 from the same account (on my computer it is page 87), then another 1500 BTC on Dec 23. I assume that the first one is within 24hr of S5 sales start (batch 1). Edit: I looked back and it looks like I ordered from batch 1 on Dec22, so maybe Dec 18 wasn't even S5 (which is strange)-can somebody else look at their S5 order dates?

Anybody with extra coupons I may order a miner if I can get a coupon. With the slight uptick in BTC and a coupon I think I will have just enough to get one. Bitmain ID: Aurel57

Your crystal ball seems to be made in the same sweatshop as the one I got Seriously though, I'm only getting a couple now and will wait and see where this is going before ordering more. The more I think (and math) about it the more unattractive the current deal looks.
