Mine was finally processed in California and is now heading to Toomim Bros in Washington.
I'm sending mine to Toomim Bros also so post your experiences when things get set up for you. I placed my order on 9/6 so nothing for me yet. Well it arrived and they set it up fast and it's running right now reporting 4.6ish at Eligius. I'm impressed with Toomim so far. Have you tried to remote in yet? Toomim is suppose to have this capability.

So talked with a rep on the phone and it looks like US Customs flagged 1 out of 2 total packages and now I have to pay $39.74 in taxes / duties / import fees.
She said customs probably overlooked my other package which is why only one was flagged
I didnt realize we have to pay these fees in the US, and what a bunch of BS that 1 must have made it through without discrepancy, but the other requires this fee? when its the same damn thing
I thought we're not supposed to pay import taxes if it's under $2.5K.

I thought we're not supposed to pay import taxes if it's under $2.5K. I've made several purchases in the past from bitmain [All of which were over $2.5K] and never had to pay import taxes/fees. I had to pay a little extra for shipping because of weight not correct. Only was about $35.00 but that was it. Hopefully, I do not run into issues with these 9 rigs coming in soon. They haven't shipped yet.

can you easily redirect internatioonal UPS package to a local UPS store? thanks
i don't want to sit around afraid to leave the house. One time I took a brief shower and UPS truck missed me-had to go to the warehouse to get it on the same day
I redirect mine to the local UPS Store and that way I just stop by on my way home and can sign for it and not miss it. The UPS store told me last time they were not happy about the fact that they get nothing for doing this. They use to charge $5 for the service but UPS will not allow them to charge it anymore.

For the people who are unaware you may setup an account on USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc and have several options at your disposal. With UPS you can have the package diverted as someone else mentioned. You may pay an extra 5 bucks to have the delivery window shortened to just a few hours so you do not have to sit waiting if being delivered to your home. That one is my favorite, but you would be quite happy with the choices these companies offer now, you can even select for them to leave it on your front porch / stoop, or run it around back, etc and not to wait for a sig, but I personally would never do that for something which costs this much, especially when you know the fight and all the money you will have to pay to get warranty issues addressed.
By the way if you have a fan failure, fugget about warranty. Standard BITMAIN Policy is fans are not warranty items, go buy fans locally. I won't say it can't be done as I know for a fact it can, but I decided to order a few anyway. I have a box full of fans and I also ordered a few of the 4200 RPM ones so there is no question if I use one of the exact same ones they provide they cannot cancel warranty on my S7s and S5+. I am not complaining about BITMAIN today, I simply wanted to pass the word on the fans so people who do not know can be prepared.
Oh I know this was mentioned by someone but, I was also told by an "official" source they are shipping in the order the full payment was received by BITMAIN and nothing else matters. I believe who told me this, so just check out when you ordered versus some others who are receiving this week and you should be able to narrow down your ship date from bitmain. If you ordered the second day after others then check who else ordered second day and see if they have a ship and so on.

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function. Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

Lol Prelude!!!! There's some good people on your side of the river, they're just hard to find and/or understand, tabarnaque Dmward, the exchange rate has helped tremendously, And you can negotiate some very good commercial base rates here even in Ontario (~$0.05 CDN/kWh) but we are subject to a Global Adjustment that varies monthly. It's supposed to be a + or - adjustment, but with these fucking liberals and their brilliant ideas on chasing manufacturing out of our province it's been strictly a positive value to the tune of an extra $0.09 as of lately. I'm really hoping it comes back down over the winter, but you know what they say about wishing in one hand and shitting in the other... Newfoundland/Labrador is where it's at. Great moose hunting and dirt cheap electricity. What more could one ask for?

Quebec is better at CAD $0.08, but you have to put up with living in a shit hole province. yeah, that's about right. ontario residential has time-of-use variable rate (0.08/12hrs, 0.12/6hrs, 0.15/6hrs)(plus ~0.02/hr in various fees) so the average is ~$0.15 CAD/kwh (~$0.11USD). I have some of my older gear on timers for nighttime only, and my spondoolies change their settings 2x/day to maximize income. meanwhile in quebec its closer to $0.09-0.10CAD/kwh ($0.07usd/kwh) once you consider all the fees+charges, I don't beleive they have time-of-use, at least for industrial usage. but we get screwed on import taxes for basically anything >$100, I remember back with the S1 bitmain would happily mark it as $200/ea

Tip them it is worth it. If they refuse a tip try buying them a Starbucks. You want them to like you.

Dear customer, Thanks for your interest in our product. We're arranging the shipment of S7 following order of full payment at the moment. But sorry to inform you that we don't have so many units that with announced hash rate of 4.86th/s miners. Right now, we have some miners with 4.66th/s and would like to ship them to you, for the missing part of hash rate, we'll provide you some refund. May you confirm whether it is OK for you? Sorry for the inconvenience.
