Yes you can, I do every now and again Smiley.

When I have some spare bitcoin I use my rentals to solo bitcoin mine on ck's pool: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.0

miningrigrentals.com have been around for a while and I've been using them for about a year without any problems what so ever.

I still haven't found a block though but 80 people have in the last 12 months.

so is it true that if you do solo mining, if you dont find a block you wont get any satoshis?
Yes. The main income for crypto currency mining is always from the block reward and transaction fees. In pools, the machine will submit shares to the pool to prove that they are working to solve the block. The more you submit, the more percentage of the BTC from the mined block you would get. For solomining, you are the only one mining for the block hence you would get full percentage of the reward only if you solve a block.

MiningRigRentals is by far not a scam , I have rented from them many many times and even put my GawMiners The Fury up on it for people to rent and have rarely had any issues , and if I did , either the owner of the rig fixed the issue or the staff would fix the problem accordingly . So don't be afraid to use them .

miningrigrental isn't a ponzi, it work like a charm, i did many many renting with them, everything went always fine, their support is top notch

and yes you can solo mine, you need to allow inbound connections in your machine or virtual machine, than point the mniner that you've rented to your esternal ip so not to 192.168.xx.xx

this ip must be allowed to recieve connection from your config file in the folder of the client you want to point at your miners

rpcallowip= your public ip(ISP ip)

Pointed same as you mentioned, But i see no traffic from Rental hash,  Hashesperspec is not changing. Let me know if am missing something

I don't think solo mining will work for btc. If some new coins come out, and there is no too many pools yet, you can consider the solo mining. You are competing your calculation power with the whole world.

1st of all, what youre describing is called cloud mining.. you should read up on that.

Also I never heard of that site or service so most likely could be a scam only based on 90% new business in btc are likely like that.  Do not choose new services over the old known ones.

Go with hashnest that people are rave about.

I wish I can have answers this coul help me out thanks.

•What is cloud mining? And just mining?

•I read to much about this scam and is there any list, thread and Websites? I want to be safe please and thank you for the answer.

You can solo mine, but don't rent rigs. Because I think it is not worth it. Go collect and save some money and you will be happy.

Yes if it's an altcoin and you rent enough hashrate yes. Why so you want to so this though ? It's usually almost always better to mine in a pool.

Please don't listen to that guy he has no idea what he is talking about. Miningrig rentals is 100% legit. You rent from people not them. They just facilitate it. Nasus you need to stop talking about things you know nothing about and state them as fact.

Of course you can. I know some people who are good at it, but I think the group would be easier for you. Especially at the beginning. Try to find trusted people and work together!

I solo mine on cks pool everyday lol and have used minigrigrentals for some time now more than a year probably, if, after renting the rig on a couple of occasions, and the hashrate is not as advertised, you can message the owner and generally they will give you a couple of hours extension - I have never had a problem there.

Can you please tell me how to setup my wallet to accept connections from miningrigrentals? tried but did not worked, used
rpcallowip=*
rpcallowip=my external ip
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

Added my myip:PORT as stratum url, my user and passsword from my wallet conf file in miningrigrentals but they said no connection, offline pool.
Please send me a PM and i can donate if you or someone else help.

Thank you

Read about cloud mining, after getting knowledge in this part of crypto you can say if your wallet will grow or just go down, this will give you outlook on situation.

People regularly rent petahashes from MRR, I use them myself, and rent out my rigs.. Of course if you are going up against the big guys with your asica or gpus, they will certainly have the advantage, but, you are only one hash away for the effort is worth it, for 12.5 BTC  Cool

Of course you can try it yourself, but personally I figured it was very difficult, laborious and unprofitable. At your place I would find a trusted partner or the whole team and I would try to work together for the common good.

Read about cloud minning at the beginning, but it is better that you expand your capabilities not necessarily alone because prices will ruin your budget, but find people and do it together.

Interesting site, but why would you ask here if you can do something on their site?

As for solo mining itself.  All depends on the coin and why you want to solo mine.  If it is a very small unknown coin solo mining can be profitable.  If you are attempting to solo mine something like BTC you can, but chances are you will never find a block, which will mean you will never get a payout.

The chance to find a coin solo mining even in a fairly low mined coin are quite low, unless you are pretty much keeping the coin alive.

Is there a reason you want to solo mine as opposed to mining within a pool?
