Quickseller escrowing for himself

This thread really proves that none can be trusted. Dint get still why QS has to lie about it and escrow his own deal using an alt. He lost all his reputation in seconds and on top he charged his escrow fee too? Is it all the facts he has been stating about an escrow ensures safety and people should trust it flushed out completely? I'm speechless.


It's better if he discards his thread in the Currency Exchange section. Makes no sense now "Trade with caution: Use Escrow".

Someone trading using an alt and then escrowing with their main account will be viewed negatively and somewhat unethical and should warrant at least removal of green trust to neutral trust.

The thing is though with this story, the actual part that deserves red trust is that QS collected an escrow fee. Not only did he lie about escrow but to make the deal better for him he collected an escrow fee. That right there IMO was stealing.

No, and I can't blame some people for believing that it's my alt, but he really is a completely separate person (it was a kind of a roommate situation). The only thing I'm guilty of is posting from his account to get his coins sold because he was too busy raiding in WoW. Paraphrasing how it went down:

Me: Shouting down the hallway "Dude, I'm just going to post for you then."
Him: "Yeah, fine."

He funded escrow and the deal was completed. That's it. It was subject to all the same mechanics and procedures that I do for anybody else. I feel as if I asked a hot date to come over to watch Netflix and chill, when I really do just want to watch Netflix and chill

Ah ok, I read that earlier in the thread and I guess I misunderstood what was going on.

I still think you should have advised your buddy to use a different escrow agent to avoid the conflict of interest. My understanding of an escrow - an independent third party. I do realize though that I have no way of knowing that with these forum escrows, unless they slip up like QS or yourself.

I've been trying to keep up with this whole thing and just as a bystander it has been pretty overwhelming.  This just proves you should trust no one, especially online.  There are flaws but it's really impossible to fix that we should have our own reality T.V. show.  With this kind of drama and action, we'll hit the top in no time!

Pretty surprising though, the turnaround!

I read that as an admission that it was your alt, and figured that this jokey "it was a co-worker" story was only made up later when people seemed to start taking notice of the situation:

Well, Krispy really is an actual person, though I admit I probably (accidentally) posted from his account as much as he actually did. Dude is a co-worker who was having some bad luck, so I rented out my guest room to him. Those coins that I escrowed for mysel.. oops I mean Krispy really were his coins though. I did say this....or at least something to this affect. It was however meant to highlight the ridiculousness of some people actually believing his story.....even if you ignore the discrepancy that you pointed out. If the story was actually believed, then well.....nothing is going to help you.

TC should come clean though. The evidence is clear cut they were the same person, and the overall community reaction is currently negative regarding self escrowing. (this is contrary to when I had faked my ban, as the overall reaction was either neutral, users were saying it was no big deal, or people were saying that you should assume this is the case).

There would likely be many threads full of posts from sock accounts attacking anyone who says otherwise and justifying his actions and this would continue for many months until he has convinced ll of the uninformed here.

It is hard to say for sure. It is certainly very concerning as to how many accounts I have suspected of being scammers (yet have no proof) have posted in this thread.

self-escrowing is lying if you dont tell the other party that you are the same person.
look it up in a dictionary..it says third-party. you cant simply redefine words to fit your actions better...

and: escrow and defaulttrust should be trustworthy. to me that means: they should not lie. if caught lying they are not trusted any more. is that really that hard to understand?

I don't think so considering that both TC and QS are of the opinion that self escrowing is not a scam. Unless they are hypocrites, though I have seen nothing to suggest they are.
